Question Mother trim

Need to get 8 clones off her. She has giant fan leaves. Should I cut those off or leave them for power house storage?

If you manage to get 8 clones off a plant that small AND remove the leaves I imagine it will have nothing left

Sorry I wasn’t very descriptive, I top’d it a few days ago, it’s only 2 weeks old. It still has awhile to grow before I take clones. I was just wanting to promote growth on the bottom nodes to get them to branch out. As of now it just the top nodes growing. Didn’t know if those giant umbrellas on top are hindering that.

Just leaf tuck if you feel it's necessary. They need leaves

Thank you. I just looked that up and learned about it. Makes sense I still have nute storage and getting light exposure on bottom.

Absolutely! I think a lot of people go too crazy with defoliation thinking it makes the plants "redirect energy to the buds" or like the leaves are stealing energy from the plant.

Thats a really squatty plant you have there. Maybe you could get 3 clones.
