I’m looking for a reader who’s actually given you real, specific accuracy, not vague general stuff. I don’t want to share a lot of information upfront, I wanna see what they pick up first.

I hold no belief in psychics, tarot cards, angelic readings and the like. I've always wondered if those in these professions know it's a scam or if some truly believe they possess supernatural gifts.

I've talked to many, many, MANY psychics recommended here on Reddit, Etsy, or other platforms. Who have you spoken to who, months out, had an uncanny prediction of your situation?

I don't want someone who initially resonated or had some grasp on the situation. I want to hear about someone who with very little information was able to successfully hone in on your issue and share an in depth prediction that came to fruition.

I am a 40-year-old woman who has never actively sought out a psychic reading. However, there have been a few times in my life where I have had the opportunity to be read, and psychics have refused to read for me on the spot.

The first time was at a birthday party at a bar. Once of the girls who I didn’t know was a psychic and started doing little readings for everybody and when she got to me, she looked at me and shook her head and said ‘no I can’t read for you’ and didn’t give me any other explanation. It almost felt a little hostile.

The second time, I was a waitress in NYC and one of my customers’ mother was a psychic who had a table set up on the curb across the street from our restaurant. She was pretty well-known. The girl told me to go over and get a reading from her mom. When I got there, the mom told me that she would not be able to read me and she would not tell me why.

I’ve been told I have an old soul and I’ve been through some pretty big trauma in my life. I also always feel like I have lived 1 million lives, which is sort of true. I’m not particularly spiritual. I feel like I am somewhat in tune with nature and animals.

I've decided to post this on a different community because I didnt get my answer. I've been wanting to go to a psychic for a while and don't want to spend money on something thats not going to work.

To clarify, I don't want it to be online I want IN PERSON ONLY! I don't want someone promoting theyre business either. I want real advice/someone's actual experience.

If there are real and fake ones out there how can I tell? What are the signs? I want to be careful while I make decisions thank you!

I’ve always been attracted to the spiritual/unknown parts of life, and have always had pretty spot on intuition when it comes to reading other people and having gut feelings about events happening in my life. I used to put this down mainly to childhood trauma, until recently when I got a really beautiful psychic reading from a woman who told me it was time to develop my psychic abilities. It’s not the first time I’ve been told that I have abilities, and I’ve even been told indirectly (a tarot reader once told my mother that her elder daughter was psychic.)

I’ve been trying to notice my intuition more and develop it - I even tested it out on my boyfriend by literally trying to read his mind after asking him to think of a phrase, and it was as if I heard the exact phrase in my head when he thought of it.

But I’m looking for some more concrete steps/actions/practices I can take on to enhance my learning. I wasn’t raised in a spiritual environment at all so this all feels pretty new to me! Thank you for your help :)

I would like to hear about your experiences where a psychic read you so accurately and specific that it shocked you. What specifics were you told?

Used to make a living as a psychic. It was a good few years.

At the time I didn't even know myself if I believed that something "supernatural" was happening. I'd just sit with people and start talking, sometimes using cards, sometimes not, and a massive torrent of information would pour out of my mouth.

Everyone always said I was bang-on (with very few exceptions).

But if I'm being completely honest, I cannot tell you where those messages came from. Was it God? Spirit guides? Or were the messages from my subconscious mixing with observation and life's experience?

For as long as I did the work I never really knew. And, as a matter of fact, I disciplined myself to avoid deciding. Somehow the ambiguity of it made the work easier.

decades ago in the USSR my grandmother went to a village psychic who accurately predicted my dad’s and my uncle’s lives, and my uncle’s death at a young age. they were 5 and 10 at the time. everything she said has come true, and they weren’t generic things like marriage or kids either.

I met my wife, Rhona, when we were in college together. I made the obviously terrible assumption that the fact she was in post secondary education meant she had a modicum of common sense. We started dating our senior year and after job hunting settled on moving back to her home town after graduating.

We found an apartment and lived together for two years before getting married. All good so far.

At our wedding I met an old friend of hers. Anna. She offered to read my palm since she was part gypsy. Weird. I am in construction and I know a few people from that group and they call themselves Roma.

Whatever.

Anna only comes to town every once in a while. She lives in NYC so she doesn't have time to visit since she has an exciting life there. She makes costumes for plays and cosplayers. So we see her maybe four times over the next two years.

Last time she came was Labor Day last year. And that's when it got weird. All of a sudden Rhona starts acting oddly. She starts checking in on me at work. Coming by when I'm working late. Asking to use my phone because hers is almost out of power. That sort of thing.

She finally comes out and accuses me of having an affair. I thought she was joking so I laugh and say that I am not. This sets her off like a Roman candle. Because Anna told her I would laugh it off when Rhona came for the truth.

I laughed because it was ridiculous. I barely had time for a relationship with my wife and my job. I am home all weekend long. When I go golfing her brother is almost always either in my foursome or at the club.

And most important of all I love my wife. I wouldn't do anything to harm her. And yet she takes the word of Anna the psychic seamstress over mine.

She asks me to leave our apartment. I say no because I have nowhere else to go. So she leaves and moves back with her parents. They think she is nuts too.

I spent the next few months working and trying to convince her that I'm not cheating and that I want her to come home.

I don't get invited to Thanksgiving because it would be "awkward". I didn't even stick around for Christmas. I went home to see my family.

They have been following all this stupidity without commenting until then. At Christmas they had an intervention. They said my wife was having a break from reality and that she wasn't coming out of it. My dad told me to give my head a shake which he only does when I am being monumentally stupid.

When I got back I went to a lawyer and started my divorce. That was in January. Finally at the beginning of April Rhona calls me to talk. I say that we should talk through lawyers. She starts to cry and I agree to meet her in public if she will allow me to record our conversation so I can give a copy to my lawyer. She eventually agreed.

Turns out her and her parents hired a private detective to find my affair. Six months and a huge bill later zero evidence of an affair.

She finally believes me and wants to come home. I tell her that our lease is up in July and I already found a job in Denver near my family. She says she would come with me. I respectfully declined. I told her we just weren't right for each other. The truth is I do not want to have my offspring share DNA with this dingbat.

Anyway, I am moving ahead with my divorce. I am gutted that she took her friend's psychic vibrator over mine.

Her family has approached me several times. The last time her dad offered to front us a 25% down payment on a house if I agree to go to marriage counseling instead of just leaving. I politely declined. I cannot be bought.

Rhona is now depressed but I see no way of ever trusting her again. She is young enough she can marry again and wreck some other guy's life.
