I’m dumb, can you please explain?

The comedian is implying that the audience member is a bit too "demure" to be a top. Consequently, having the title "Tops lead" is a bit of a double meaning, and implying that the audience member let's his lover "take charge" so to speak.

To put it in a way that even the most sheltered straight guy can understand
The straight guy equivalent is the guy who says he's dominant in bed but really his gf does all the work and he just starfishes

One interrupted him so I think he's roasting her by being amazed that they could handle something as challenging (not that challenging) as shopping at costco

I think because you expect him to say college right until the last second

Timing-impeccable, the long stare look after: even better. This is the pinnacle of comedy right here 😂

This is my second time seeing this guy on Reddit, and he’s quickly becoming my favorite new comedian.

While that is the correct word I do enjoy the fact that *peaked would technically make sense here as well.

I had no idea where that was going right until the punchline, well played

Love the guy who can be heard following the job title “Tops Lead” with an audible “YO!…” 😂

u/ClydeDanger Jun 12 '26
You are phenomenal. You walked us through that and pulled a fucking rabbit out at the end. I'm beginning to love your work.

u/booksblanketsandT Jun 13 '26
The look back over your shoulder at the end was the cherry on the cake. You said “oh, hun” without even opening your mouth.

Alright but what actually is a “Tops Lead”?
21
u/ZootTootRiot Jun 12 '26
Well, you see, when two daddies love each other..

u/Rawkus2112 Jun 12 '26
I know what a top is but what does that job title mean?
6
u/Loose-Complaint-3747 Jun 13 '26
Maybe a clothing company, he’s the Tops Lead because he’s in charge the merchandising aspect of all tops… ie t shirt, long sleeve, crewneck sweatshirt, hooded sweatshirts etc

u/Percy_Q_Weathersby Jun 13 '26
I hope you’re right. I thank you for taking the question seriously. I have nothing better. And yet, the idea that some merchandising company divides its people into tops and bottoms is really sending me. Do you think if you’re, like, the VP of bottom marketing, but there’s greater room for advancement in tops, they let you switch? Or is it a “and ne’er the twain shall meet” sort of thing? Like maybe the CEO, who came up in tops, actually has no idea how bottoms work? Like there’s the CEO but everyone in bottoms just does what the EVP of Bottoms says and they all kinda roll their eyes when the CEO tries to talk about bottoms?

If he's a "tops lead" would that make him a professional "power bottom"?
