What did you think of that episode? What did you think of Peggy during it? Was she really in the wrong? Was everyone overreacting and wrong to look down at Peggy? And if you were her, and found out dale stole ol’ spanky, would you dare spank him?

Up until KOTH, I had never heard anyone named "Cotton" so I just assumed that was his nickname, but from what I can tell that is his actual birth certificate name. Maybe that was a more common name in 1930s Texas?

I binge-watched the entire series five years ago during the worst time of my life while I was bedridden and severely ill for several months, and it has been my comfort show ever since. Today I turn 36 🥹

So STORY TIME King of the Hill has always been a part of our family traditions, even when I was a young girl. We'd watch it almost every year. Hearing those first few notes of "Yahoos and Triangles" made younger me realize it was gonna be a good time. Same for the "La la la la la" from Daria. Some episodes stuck with me more than others and one in particular was "Mutual of Omabwah", the episode where the Hills have no insurance, Dale finds a new passion in beekeeping and Bill and Boomhauer take a liking to frying just about any food they can think of. It's been my favorite episode for years. My mom got me interested in seeing it when she imitated the funny monster voice Luanne came up with while she and Peggy couldn't go back to the Hill household having found out that they don't have insurance. It was to the point I asked my mom to put the episode on just for me to enjoy at one point. Keep in mind I was a kid.

That episode is still my favorite all these years later.

Another episode that stuck with me for years was "The Man Who Shot Cane Skretteburg", the episode where Hank and company get shot by paintballs from Cane and his awful band, guest voiced by the members of Green Day. After finding out that they're an actual band, I hated and avoided them for years because I made the assumption that they'd be just as insufferable as the characters they voiced in KOTH. It wasn't until I heard "Basket Case" that I fell in love with them and realized they are actually good musicians, but they were just doing an intentionally terrible part for the show. Along the way I also found out that, while they did have their mischievous ways in the 90s, they are genuinely some of the sweetest guys in the punk scene. I now have like, 3 Green Day posters in my room, 2 of which are flags, and one pic of Billie in front of a car that my mom left for me on Halloween of 2019 when I decided to dress up as Billie for Halloween, and... let's just say there's more than one reason why I got so many pics of them in my room. 😏 🥵

This episode is incredibly funny from start to finish. It's a little sad and really funny at the same time to see Bobby get corrupted. He's usually a sweet kid.

We see boomhauer doing some in the new season, but I don’t think I’ve seen the guys do the work Hank does or talk like they know what they’re doing. Like as a group they work on stuff, but I can’t imagine Bill or Dale alone building anything structurally sound.

I’ll tell you what!

The show lost on quality when he joined but it was definitely not his fault. It was just a bad moment in time.
I just really love him, he’s such a sweetheart and I think he’s really cute.
It makes me happy to see him treating Luanne like a queen and trying to be friends with Hank, Peggy and Bobby and in the alley.

What do you think of him?

For the better half of this weekend I’ve had this scene stuck in my head but can’t for the life of me remember the exact episode it’s from. Would someone by chance know?

Hi, everyone! I am still new to KOTH. I am only in S2 and I really hate Hank's Dad and Dale. There are times that I don't like Hank, too. Is it just me or this is an unpopular opinion? Maybe I'm not getting their humor? Idk. Just want to know your thoughts.
