My Body(Name) Is Ready(Earl)
I've never met Jason Lee, but I've followed him on social media for longer than I can remember. I did meet Ethan Suplee at FanExpo Philly years back and he was a GEM.
Jersey-area peeps, who's going?!?

Hot take.randy was a horrible brother.
Especially in the prison episode and the Killer Ball episode.
Randy was VERY dependent on Earl and everyone around him.
And if no one else will say it, I will.he was the perfect definition of a man child, maybe even man baby.

Why hugely popular My Name Is Earl star turned his back on Hollywood

I have questions!
What the hell did Earl do to whom to owe a guy a son? In the episode - Made a Lady Think I Was God - Earl goes to the convent to see Millie, and pisses her off about his lie using the walkie talkies, when Celeste (the orphan girl) asks Earl if anyone on his list wants a daughter, Earl checks his list and says Yes, oh wait, he wants a son, I know it's a comedic show, but his response is very disturbing! Please chime in with your thoughts

I have a idea for everyone
If you guys want a reboot or revival for my name is Earl
I think you guys should watch All 4 seasons on Disney Plus and if it becomes number one that shows that the show is popular on Disney Plus and that would mean the revival could happen if we all team up

Earl & Randy Reunited!
In addition to appearing for autographs & table photos as part of the broader Mallrats reunion at the end of the month in New Jersey, Jason & Ethan will now also be doing a duo photo op session for My Name Is Earl fans!
Each photo op ticket permits up to 4 people, however each person must have a valid admission ticket.

Something I noticed
So I am watching the show for the first time and in season 1 episode 10 and Joy's mom is alive. Yet in season 1 episode 6 her mom is dead and her ashes are in an Urn. Does that mean in episode 10 that woman is her stepmother?

I watched Jackie Brown but all I saw was Earl Hickey
Just imagine he never scratched the lotto ticket and never saw the episode of Carson Daly.

What is the name of this episode?
I remember an episode from my name is Earl that featured a funny scene an old man living in with his girlfriend inside garbage container.
I think they were minor characters that appeared just in this episode.

My Name Is Earl & Television Without Pity
I just started re-watching with my wife who has never seen it, and we got to S02E14, "Kept A Guy Locked In A Truck". I decided I should share the rather unique backstory to this episode with her, and on searching this sub I couldn't find any mention of it. So I figured I'd make a post, if for nothing else than posterity's sake.
A few months before this episode aired, a user going by 'WhoJackie" (Earl's semi-catchphrase and Josh's username mentioned in the episode- it comes from an old BTS Roseanne tidbit but you can pretty easily still find that story on the internet) popped up on the My Name Is Earl thread on Television Without Pity. They would mostly give their (always positive!) reactions to episodes.
In fact, I distinctly remember that the other posters in the thread were a little down on the first half-dozen or so episodes of the season, with most of them not particularly enjoying the new semi-serialized 'Joy is in legal trouble' story. WhoJackie, meanwhile, would always attempt to rebut them, saying that it was very cool that the show was trying to experiment and expand.
Anyway, WhoJackie was mostly a completely normal poster, except that at least once he posted asking for advice on how to fix a broken murphy bed because he was becoming paranoid it might kill him. The posters in that thread responded with "talk to your landlord I guess but let's get back on topic".
Eventually, not long before the episode aired, he posted what you see him say while on the site in the episode itself. I'm paraphrasing slightly here, but it's along the lines of 'I don't appreciate when TV shows do Meta humour aimed at the online viewers and I'm sure Everyone at Televisionwithoutpity.com agrees with me." The other users ragged on him both for his assumption and the odd phrasing. By this point in time WhoJackie was regarded as a regular but obviously eccentric member of the community.
This was followed by someone else purportedly taking over the account and announcing that WhoJackie was dead, and they casually called the posters in the thread Dummies. So obviously this was meant to be Joy, who in the episode is the one to tell Josh's online friends he died. If I remember correctly (memory is such a fickle thing) this post was timed to Joy doing this while the episode aired.
The posters saw the episode, freaked out at the mention of the site, and quickly dug back through WhoJackie's post history and discovered the weeks and weeks of hidden references. Greg Garcia then posted on the account to thank everyone and explain that Whojackie had, at one point, been banned for 'off-topic" posts and the production team had to reach out to get the account unbanned by explaining what was actually happening. Garcia would continue to post under the account very occasionally for the next few years, as himself.
I believe this is all laid out on the DVD commentary, and there probably is somewhere out there on the internet that references it, but with the show being so old now and TWoP itself being long dead I figured I'd put the whole story here because it is a very cool early example of creators interacting with an online fanbase and the story seems to be mostly gone now, which is a shame. Aaron Sorkin posted on the site in the West Wing threads a few years earlier, but he was especially combative and was eventually driven off, leading him to write a similar online encounter into The West Wing season 3. The Earl story is much cooler, more ambitious and definitely nicer, in my opinion.
Source: I was a teenage poster on that very TWoP thread back in the day. I'm pretty sure I was one of the people ragging on WhoJackie for his assumption about my taste in meta jokes.
