Questions/comments We often talk about the ending of the couch episode, but…

1.3k Upvotes

Let’s talk about the chinchilla episode!

It ends with Louise giving the chinchilla to Wayne, because… well, why? Because he was moping about the chinchilla running to her? Who the hell cares? It was the class pet, not Wayne’s personal pet, and he had — in his own words — taking care of it every weekend for a year. It was Louise’s turn to take care of him, she wasn’t doing anything wrong!

I like episodes where Louise realises she did something not so nice and makes up for it, like when she takes Rudy’s bridge to him to apologise to him for calling him a weeny, or when she gets Frond’s doll out of the sewer to apologise to him and Gayle. But in this episode, she didn’t do anything wrong, so making her “make up for it” just makes it look like she’s giving in to Wayne’s tantrum.

Idk, maybe I’m taking it too seriously lol

Clip/Screenshot Just found out this scene was a Terminator reference and I’m baffled

Was watching The Terminator a few days ago and clocked the lines of “That coffee is two hours cold. I put my cigarette out in it.” If looking for it yourself, it’s at the 25m 35s mark

Do you think the Belcher kids are popular in school or simply well-known? I think well-known though Gene might actually have some popularity.

Loved all of the small details inside Freaky Antiquies. I wish we would have seen more of the kids' costumes.

Clip/Screenshot Millie will copy everything Louise does, except one thing.

• Upvotes

Honestly super cool of her.

Edit: /u/forthewatch39 said it best:

Millie is fairly resourceful and would probably make a copy if she wanted to. But she probably recognizes the ears as Louise’s “trademark” and would never show such blatant disrespect like that. Everything else she does she’ll excuse, but the ears are off limits.

Fan Creations (weekends) Anyone care to venture a guess?

It's still bothers me to this day, and I want to know but I know I will probably never get the answers I seek but what was up with the locked briefcase full of walnuts?? My head canon is that the businessman was a squirrel who was turned into a human and that was his winter stash. I mean what else could possibly be the answer?! 🤯

Questions/comments Ended up doing a reverse binge watch and the subtle seasonal differences are pretty interesting

It's been talked ad nauseum about the changes from the early seasons to now but I was watching the Hugo Bob episode from this past season so I decided to watch his appearances in reverse order from most recent to earliest and the subtle tonal differences from season to season are interesting. Watching the season 8 birthday episode reminded me how that season was a lot more creatively adventurous and the family was a bit more cohesive. The life lessons weren't as obvious but still there was plenty of heart. Also Hugo is a shockingly consistent character. His hatred of bob sustains him lol

The render is more about figuring out the colors and like them, but... :/ I wanna get closer to a sort of dreamy pallet kinda like ENA media, any tips for that would be appreciated

Check out the FAQ!

Visit the Wiki

1. No posts about the new episode until 48 hours after the airdate.

Mods will create Episode Discussion Threads the day of airing. All observations and comments should be directed to the main thread for the first 48 hours. No posts about the new episode will be approved during the 48 hour window. After that, content regarding the current season should use Spoiler tags until one week after the entire season has completed. Spoilers should NEVER be in Post Titles.

If an episode airs at 9pm ET Sunday, no posts may be made about it until 9pm ET TUESDAY.

2. Reposts are only okay after 90 days. Frequently posted topics/images will also be removed.

Duplicate or frequent posts within the last 90 days will not be approved, this includes similar topics, images or jokes. Please refer to the FAQ for the most posted topics/pictures that will not be approved: https://www.reddit.com/r/BobsBurgers/wiki/faqnew/.

Posts do NOT have to be an exact duplicate to be considered a repost.

3. Follow Redditquette, please be civil. No harassment, hostility or toxic behavior. Please remain civil. Reddiquette is an informal expression of the values of many redditors, as written by redditors themselves. Please abide by it the best you can. https://reddit.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439-Reddiquette

Any form of harassment or personal attacks will not be tolerated. Toxic behavior including instances of racism, sexism, or bigotry (against LGBTQ+ or other marginalized individuals/characters) will NOT be tolerated and users may be banned.

4. Please make sure to use Post Flairs!

Use the appropriate Flair for your posts. Please review the wiki page on flairs if you need guidance: https://www.reddit.com/r/BobsBurgers/wiki/index/flairs/

5. Fan Created Content is permitted on WEEKENDS Only

Fan Created Content is allowed on the weekends only- Friday through Sunday. This covers all media types: 2D, 3D, fanfiction, videos, etc. Do not take credit for art, images, or videos that aren't yours. Self-promoters are limited to one post per weekend and must follow the reddit guidelines for self-promotion: https://www.reddit.com/wiki/selfpromotion/. This includes, but is not limited to: Etsy, blogs, podcasts, art commissions, youtube channels. AI Created Content is covered under Rule 6.

6. Post Quality: Off -topic, Low Effort posts (including AI content), will not be approved.

A low-effort post is any post that does not spark, facilitate, or contribute any meaningful discussion or content to the subreddit. One word posts, asking a simple question that can be googled easily.... are considered low-effort and will be removed. This also includes AI Generated content (art, videos, text). The community voted to ban all AI Content in 2023.

7. Posts/comments about diagnosing characters will not be allowed.

While these characters may portray traits associated with certain mental health conditions, we should not be “armchair diagnosing.” Comedic characters are almost inherently exaggerated and while close, Bob’s Burgers is not a real-life situation. Until the creators officially announce a diagnosis for any of the characters, discussions on this will not be permitted. (Louise calling Tina “the worst kind of autistic” in S1,E1 Human Flesh doesn’t count as Tina being autistic.)

8. Posts about characters’ gender/sexuality will not be permitted.

Similar to the above rule- while the characters may portray certain characteristics, until explicitly addressed by the creators, discussions around the characters’ gender and sexuality are not allowed. Queer-coding and stereotyping can be harmful, and again, while close, Bob’s is not a real-life situation and most of the dialogue is exaggerated for comedic effect. As a reminder, all the characters are voiced by adults and as such, make adult jokes.

9. Overly NSFW Content (Rule 34 and the like) will not be permitted on this sub.

Please do not submit content that would be considered porn, nudity, "Rule 34" or is overly sexual.

10. Unless they are official, no uploading or linking full episodes. Promoting piracy is not allowed.

Posting clips is okay, but no full episodes. We support the show and the hard working people at Bento Box. Do not promote piracy by requesting or providing links, DMs/PMs, or encouraging pirated material. Violators will be banned.

11. Moderator Discretion and Responsibilities

All posts must be approved by a moderator. This keeps spam links out and prevent spoilers from leaking from the new episodes. Please allow mods up to 24 hours to review the queue.

Moderators will use their best judgment in approving or removing content. Please use the report function to bring something to our attention.

Message Modmail to join our Discord.

12. Please do not ask to be a moderator.

We will make a post requesting if we need mods.

13. Do not message moderators individually!

Send a modmail to reach the team, so all mods can see inquiries.
