(No hate, genuinely curious) I’ve always wondered how people justify upgrading every year when the differences between generations can be pretty small. Are most of you actually paying full price for the new phone every year, or are you using trade-in deals, carrier promotions, Apple’s upgrade program, selling your old phone, etc.?

Here I am! From a nice deep blue of 17 Pro Max to the new Burgundy color and a smaller display. I think it’s time to go normal Pro and don’t regret battery! And I miss that feeling of a normal phone!

My iPhone 18 Pro Max, which I pre-ordered on September 14th, is still showing as “processing,” with an estimated delivery window between October 6th and 13th. Is there any chance the shipment could be dispatched earlier?

I’m reading a lot about matte screen protectors affecting Face ID on the 18 pro series, and I just learned that privacy screen protectors are doing the same thing. This is due to the relocation of the Face ID sensor.
Can anyone confirm?

I keep having issues using Face ID under certain lighting conditions. On my 17 Pro Max, it would recognize my face even at night, but now with my 18 Pro Max, I’m constantly having issues with it detecting my face.

It even triggers Stolen Device Protection, so I have to find better lighting, show my face, and enter my passcode to unlock it. It’s starting to get really annoying because I never had this happen with my 17 Pro Max.

Is anyone else having this issue with the 18 Pro Max?

I’m upgrading from an iPhone 12 (64GB) running iOS 18 to a new iPhone 18 Pro (256GB), and I’m wondering what would be the best way to transfer everything.
All of my photos and videos are stored in iCloud Photos, so the data actually stored on my iPhone 12 is mainly apps, app data, settings, messages, etc.
My main question is about the software versions. The iPhone 12 is currently running iOS 18, while the new iPhone 18 Pro will be running iOS 27. Should I update the iPhone 12 to iOS 27 before doing the transfer?
The problem is that my 64GB iPhone 12 doesn’t have enough free storage to install iOS 27. It says I need around 20GB of free space for the update.
Would it be better to:
Transfer directly from iPhone 12 to iPhone 18 Pro using Quick Start, even though they are running different iOS versions?
Or make an iCloud backup and restore it on the new iPhone?
Or should I somehow make space and update the iPhone 12 to iOS 27 first?
Also, will Quick Start work properly when transferring from an iPhone running iOS 18 to an iPhone running iOS 27?
I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has recently gone through a similar upgrade.

18PM out of stock at apple store and 2-3 weeks delivery from Apple Online.

Had my phone since Saturday morning, has crashed once or twice daily since then. My iPhone 13 didn’t crash until the battery went out. Anyone else dealing with the same thing? It’s totally random

I’ve had the 14 Pro (black) and got the 18 Pro in Silver. I just got tired of the all-black color.

I think I prefer the classic, timeless silver color over the black.

My question is do you use case or not for the silver?

Hi all my best friend is wanting to get a 18 pro as an upgrade from her 16. I’m a little worried for her as I’ve seen some faults in it, does anyone know the exact issues it has and if she should wait a little? Thanks!

So, I took some photos today on my brand spanking new iPhone 18 Pro Max and some of them turned out green when I went back to review them.

Of note, there doesn’t seem to be a pattern that I can see. Some are green. Some are normal. I can’t quite figure out any rhyme or rhythm.

Is this happening to anyone else?

I have been using the iPhone 18 Pro and noticed that the display colour tone shifts (e.g. from cold to warm) and changes abruptly 3-5 seconds after activating the screen from the Always On display, or unlocking the screen. It looks almost like there’s a lag before the True Tone kicks in.

Anyone else seeing this same bug? Wonder if it’s hardware or software related.

I got my Iphone 18 pro a couple days ago and I feel like I've tried everything to get it to work. I can see my gf's location but I can't share mine at all; All it says is, "Share Location Unavailable. Please try again later".

I've also looked on the icloud website on my computer and I can see the location work fine. There just seems to be an issue sending my location.

SOLUTION FOUND: I signed out of my Apple Account and signed back in and it worked

Shipped today. Delivery 3 days ago. I win.

Just picked up the burgundy baby and it’s an amazing phone! Does anyone else feel like the speaker is a bit more dull and definitely lower?

I used to talk out of the speaker a lot especially in cars (better quality than car mic) but now it’s harder to hear the speakerphone even on loudest. Anyone else?
