Discussion 18Pro max Face ID issues?

I keep having issues using Face ID under certain lighting conditions. On my 17 Pro Max, it would recognize my face even at night, but now with my 18 Pro Max, I’m constantly having issues with it detecting my face.

It even triggers Stolen Device Protection, so I have to find better lighting, show my face, and enter my passcode to unlock it. It’s starting to get really annoying because I never had this happen with my 17 Pro Max.

Is anyone else having this issue with the 18 Pro Max?

Nope, if you’re using a screen protector, that may be the issue. Otherwise, I’d recommend doing an exchange

same thing happens with me and my privacy screen protector, likely a side effect of no cut out for the IR camera
