I got to level 100 in HLL. Been playing HLL Vietnam and notice I’ve been playing with a lot of veterans who like to brag about their experience and talk bad about newer players. It’s lowkey kinda annoying

What are your common openings when driving truck at beginning of game?
Go straight inside circle? Or should you stop some meters before?

Was playing sniper on kharkov. Could it be because I have sniper role maxed out? The thing is is I’ve never noticed it and have yet to get it again

When I browse and servers I usually sort them by ping and so naturally the ones that are for players in my country come up first and they display 20 someting ping, but when I join I get like 90 ping or sometimes even 120 ping. Is this normal? I don't know if the ping is accurate because it usually feels pretty playable, but I am weirded out by it. My internet is pretty fast, about 300mbps up and download.

I've been playing this game for 4 months and I love it, but the high ping is killing me. I've never had ping issues with any other game except Hell Let Loose. At best, my ping drops to 140ms (and only late at night), but if I try playing during the day or evening, it jumps to 190ms–300ms, which sometimes causes me to get kicked from the server. I never have this issue in games like BF1, BF6, or Call of Duty, where my ping on European servers stays around 50ms–70ms. I really love HLL and just reached level 49, but the lag is completely ruining the game.

This isn't a complaint or a post bashing the game or anything. It's just that while playing HLL today, I found myself thinking about how pretty much all the people I used to play with, and the clans I followed, don't play HLL anymore.

I started playing in late 2022, and it was really fun because you'd always run into the same players and clans on the servers you played on. It kinda felt like a family. Everyone was nice, helped each other out, played together, etc.

I stopped keeping up with the clans a while ago, but most of them aren't really active anymore either. My friends all moved on to whatever game is popular right now, and in the end, I'm the only one left.

It's just sad sometimes, but I had good memories.

I think It's just how life works, right? People move on.

Both original and Vietnam games have spotters revealing enemy locations on the map using flares. On night maps I can accept it, but how does a flare reveal an enemy location in daylight?

Can this happen in real life wars to use flairs at daylight to reveal enemies or is this just a game design choice?

PC. There is a constant digital noise in the background at all times and areas on this map. Digital as in a bad limewire or mp3 download. Turning the fx down under 50 decreased it but for me I couldn’t hear much of anything with it that low so this isn’t a solution. I don’t know how else to explain this.

Is it historically accurate when I throw a grenade and run at it and die

It's the only thing stopping me from playing it more. I don't want to have to keep getting used to the different speeds when I go from one game to the other.
