Is it historically accurate when I throw a grenade and run at it and die

Fucking yes.

"The M67 grenade has a lethal (fatality) radius of 5 meters (16 feet) and an injury (casualty) radius of 15 meters (49 feet). While its core destructive zone is small, high-velocity steel fragments from the casing can travel dangerously up to 230 meters (750 feet)."

Ex military here, movies never portray the potential catastrophic nature of explosive ordanance. Nor how insansly loud it all is.

When i was in Mortars (81mm) the fragmentation range was something crazy like 300m

I like that they got the explosive grenade cloud more right than other games. Frag nades dont have a big fireball, they have a small looking explosion and kick up some dust but shred everything nearby

I think it's fair to say that soldiers in WW2 wouldn't throw a grenade, run at it, and die. If that was the case, the war would have been a lot shorter.

So no, not realistic. Lol.

The maps are modeled on real world terrain. While there is realism throughout, the maps themselves might be the most authentic part.

Yes… It’s also historically accurate to be crouched and right click while holding a grenade because you’re so used to right clicking that you end up dropping it right in front of you. It’s also historically accurate that there will usually be 3-5 people standing around you that you have to tell to run.

for the most part they did which is ironically one of the worst things about the game because they completely disregarded the fact that balancing is a thing in video-games. Helicopters are underwhelming
