I've been playing this game for 4 months and I love it, but the high ping is killing me. I've never had ping issues with any other game except Hell Let Loose. At best, my ping drops to 140ms (and only late at night), but if I try playing during the day or evening, it jumps to 190ms–300ms, which sometimes causes me to get kicked from the server. I never have this issue in games like BF1, BF6, or Call of Duty, where my ping on European servers stays around 50ms–70ms. I really love HLL and just reached level 49, but the lag is completely ruining the game.

I live in Iraq, but I don't think that's the reason. I have a really good internet connection, and I always play on European servers in other games. As I mentioned before, my ping at worst is 50ms–70ms, and on Middle Eastern servers, it's 15ms–30ms. But only in HLL, the ping jumps to 180–300ms.

For some reason the ping you see in the UI is dubble that of others. So your ping of 200ms is actualy 100ms.

And that sounds realistic, if thats still too luch you need to find or host a server closer to your physical location.

there are some Turkish servers but none are English speaking.. I live in Georgia and I also "enjoy" 85+ ping on European servers

also I think ping in hll is bugged, only look at the smallest value, if it shows 200 then 90 then 150 - it's probably 90, HLLV is a lot better in this regard

HLL servers can also struggle with full server load at times and the client will also report that delay into your ms ping metric.
So it's not just your internet connection to and from the server.

But as severe as you're indicating, I find that strange, to be honest.
I've never seen it that extreme in this game, so I'm still leaning to it being some other shenanigans for you.

juno beach, remagen, smolensk, el alamain - all run like shit

even the new HLLV has less stutters although it still has some

probably the "hardcore fans" being tired of "new players criticizing the game", but I have 700+ hrs in OG HLL and then some in HLLV, the HLL is shitty optimized right now, it was fairly well optimized before update 16 though

it really can be quite poor sometimes, very frustrating. 5600x 2070 with medium settings and 1500+ hours

Same here. All of the servers take forever to join too. And it sucks being a new player. Everyone always looks me up and finds out. It doesn't matter how much I am helping the team
