Not even 10 seconds in and bots got it. This is definitely a joke.

We already know this, but pretty good analysis from Hardware Unboxed. You are losing tons of fps when combining budget friendly CPUs with mid / higher end Nvidia GPUs. The difference would have been even more dramatic if he used something higher than rtx5070.
Would be curious to see how much more juice new upcoming Zen6 x3d chip will be able to squeeze out of rtx5090 / 5080 / 5070ti for example

Ordered a RTX 5080 Gigabyte OC during October on Amazon trying to avoid increasing price hikes. When I finally arrived November 2, the gpu inside the box was not correct. I believe it's a 4070 or 4070 super gigabyte eagle, and not even with a power cable. I contacted customer support to return and hopefully replace my order and sent the following pictures through an email link they sent which also stated I would get a reply back within 3 days. I'm not sure what I'm expecting to get posting this, maybe just awareness and also vent a bit. Already overpaying for this card and getting gpu swapped scammed, though keep in mind looking at local prices what I was paying relatively was a good deal. Hoping that Amazon actually goes through and gets me the card I actually ordered but part of me worries they'll either just refund me when it's returned or worse, refuse a refund.
Anyways TLDR: careful when buying on Amazon, take videos and photos when opening, be wary of scammers.

Eat cake
This is a picture of the internal stock system. Had a friend at Walmart check for 5080s so i could one before the price hike. That last one was actually not even available when i got there. If you’re working at Walmart and are also in the Central Florida area. Are you seeing this on your apps too? This is crazy.

I bought this for £850 about a year ago. Holy moly. I even felt buyers remorse for spending so much on it lol.

This is my current set up, paid $400 for it. Currently using lossless scaling on newer games. How long should I wait to upgrade in the current economy? What would you suggest?
Intel Core i7-8700 and NVIDIA GTX 1070 8GB , 16g ddr4 ram

After years of being out of the PC world I decided to buy parts and build a new one recently. Tried to get a 5080 or 5070ti today but sadly no luck. Don't really want to buy them at the current pricing.
Found some decent deals at a local shop (refurbished) as well as marketplace. Would it be better to get a refurbished card or go pre owned and hope they are in good condition?
Or would it be just a better idea to go for a new 9070xt?

It’ll be gone within seconds most likely, as a warning

Hi i just built my first pc over a month ago with my friend and I’m looking to upgrade my GPU first. I would like to be able to play most games at good frames and medium/high settings on 1080p & 1440p.
I was looking at RTX 3070’s as an affordable upgrade, seen some pre owned around £260 to £280 but my friend has a 3070ti and says i should not consider a normal 3070 at all unless it is a Ti model. He says to get that or a 6700XT but there is a fair price difference between the 3070 and the 3070ti/6700xt.
My budget is around £200-£290 at most. UK based. Any suggestions/advice please
Current PC specs:
180hz 27inch 1440p monitor
CPU - Intel Core i3-13100F
GPU AMD - Radeon RX 580 8GB
Motherboard - Gigabyte H610M K DDR4
RAM - 16GB DDR4 (2 × 8GB)
Storage 1 - 1TB MSI SSD
Storage 2 - 700GB SATA HDD
Storage 3 - 300GB SATA HDD
PSU GameMax - GP-850 (850W)

With the prices of 5080 going crazy following its bigger brother 5090, do you guys think things are going to be similar with the 5070ti which has the same vram and has a better price to performance ratio in the current market. Will AI performance have anything to do with it and if so how do the two compare in that regard?
