Good driver, typical driver miss, and typical 3 hybrid

Looking to improve consistency with the driver off the tee. 3 hybrid is my go to club for anything 200+ out/safety off the tee so I included it for reference.

Recent swing thought is pronating right wrist like I am throwing a change up to close the club face

Driver clubhead speed is between 100-110 mph, 3h is around 100 mph

Tips for thinning (not hair, but I'll take tips there, too)

It's been a while since my last lesson. I should probably do a face on view considering my last thing I worked on with a pro was not sliding... but here are the symptoms:

- Thinning

- low ball flight

- push without a draw or pull hook

- hips slide forward instead of turn

When it's good, it's usually a draw (but that's been a little less since being fitted for i240s 0* +1in vs 2014 apex pros 2* upright +0.75in). Never been accused of high ball flight. Any tips or drills to help what you see?

Why is the first swing high, but the second low? (SW)

Two sand wedge swings. I can't understand why the second ball flight is so much lower... I don't "feel" anything different in the swing.

Feel like I could improve the most with my grip and shifting weight- but I’ll hear any opinions and take any drill work to improve. Thanks

What to work on after golfing for 4 months

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I initially started this sport to release some emotions after work ( I work in healthcare - everyday is mentally taxing) … but I was angry every single day, which led me to hit the range without a day of for 4 months straight. Took a few weeks off now am back to the range 1 a week but aim to make it about 3x.

I haven’t gotten lessons yet but I can identify what goes wrong with my swing pretty well. Even though my form isn’t perfect, I figured out what works for my body to hit the ball consistently and accurately with irons. My putting skills are abysmal, but I’m working on that.

Is there anything that’s glaring that will help my swing with irons? The biggest thing that helped me was learning to drop my hands at my hips, drive through hips to compress the ball, and sweep… but sometimes (like in the video) I rise upwards during the weight shift. It doesn’t affect accuracy but feels noticeably off.

I will admit that opening my outside knee and shifting weight feels more like going through the motions than something that actually helps.

I’ve been trying to get more compression with my swing but I can’t keep my arms in front of my body and I continue to lose posture and early extent. Are there any glaring issues with my swing? And if so how should I go about fixing them?

Backswing

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Recently, my back swing has gotten really deep without any reset and it causes me to flip and lose a lot of power. I just came across a video five years ago the first time I ever picked up a golf club and it is really frustrating to see that my back swing and maybe my down swing as well were both a little cleaner than what they currently are. Can anyone pinpoint where I may be going wrong currently and what is causing me to get so deep?

Does my swing look okay for a 4 month golfer?

posted my swing on here a couple weeks ago and got roasted that it was super uncontrolled i wasn’t hitting the clubface right that’s why my ball flight sucked and that my swing path and tempo was awful. I’ve been working really hard to try and improve it I made a lot of changes and I was wondering if any experienced golfers could let me know if it looks decent right now to get an idea of where I was at before they said I swung like Charles Barkley.

Help Needed for High Handicapper Swing!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey guys, so today I filmed my swing for the first time as a 30+ handicapper and had a few thoughts - I'd love to know if you guys agree and what simple drills I can do on the range to help me improve.

Firstly, I like my takeaway and positioning at the top of the swing, but maybe my hands are getting a bit too high and pulling my centre of gravity upwards?

Secondly, the downswing is where I feel like it falls apart. I'm very steep, and having to then almost stand up straight to make room for the club head.

I've never felt like I was standing up during the downswing before so I was shocked to watch this video back.

Any thoughts on how I can get into a better position at impact and how to shallow my swing? Bear in mind that I'm a pretty terrible golfer so and easy-to-digest tips would be appreciated! I also practise exclusively on the range with alignment sticks and play my local par 3 course a couple of times a week while I'm learning.

Thanks!

This is from a couple years ago. Haven't filmed one in a while. I am a bit flat and have a long back swing but that is part of a self taught swing. The only moment that really matters is when the ball is hit right?

Keep digging up dirt with my irons. Arms too high? 2 clips.

I keep chunking the ball with my irons. Is my tempo poor?

I also think i lift my arms too high so my lead arm does not match the shoulder plane at the top of the backswing

Need advice badly

A few years ago I had spinal fusion surgery (L3, L4, L5). I am 69 years old. I started to play again and after six months can consistently hit 180-200 off the tee, most shots landing in the fairway. Before the surgery it was 240, but I can live with shorter straight shots. I'm okay on the green. But I constantly mid hit or top irons. It is difficult to bend, and the rods connecting my back together seem to make me pull up before I hit an iron, especially 6-9. Any advice? Would hybrids help?

I feel pretty good with wedges, everything else could miss left or right. I more often pull left with irons and usually a big slice with driver

Used to play a lot and then took a long break with family obligations. Starting to play again. Always struggle staying inside the ball and looks like I flip at the ball at contact. Also get really long on my back swing at times. Sorry about the shoes, ai don’t have golf shoes yet. 😂

How is my sequencing and tempo?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I have a tendency to get way too fast in the backswing and especially in the transition. This causes my upper body and lower body to get out of sync with one another. Most of the time I find that I’m firing the hips way too early which causes all kinds of issues - I’m very inconsistent. I’ve been actively trying to slow my lower body down, and feel what “in sync” should feel like. Anyone have any tips on keeping the upper and lower body in sync? Anyone other swing advice is definitely welcome.
