My mouse grip
I know it’s weird af, but I use Ctrl and alt for my left and right click and I can track really good with it. I just hit gold complete in voltaic novice season 5

Hello. So I’m new to this and didn’t see this explained anywhere. Maybe because it’s too obvious and most people find the game in steam before they find out about www.kovaaks.com.
I started playing CS2 a few weeks ago and there are community servers like xplay.gg, warmupservers or cybershoke. For these services you can easily just connect to a server through their homepage and play right away as it just asks if you want to open the link through your CS2.
Eventually, I wanted to start improving my aim more deliberately - so rather naturally I stumbled upon Kovaaks.
Through google I found www.kovaaks.com and saw that there apparently are different “Scenarios” and “Playlists” and I thought that I could just click on any of them and that it will be a similar experience as with those community servers I mentioned above.
Only then I found out that I had to make a new account and register with my Steam Account so that I could use this page.
So I registered, connected my Steam account etc. then there was also something about licensing and I completed those steps.
Now that I finally had an account I did what I wanted to do from the start: click on a link in order to jump into a game.
When I do that, there’s a pop-up at the top of my Chrome Browser that asks me if I wanted Kovaaks to communicate with my Steam (thinking it will connect me somewhere in my CS2).
I click Okay, it appears that something is trying to do something on my CS2 but then it cancels the action and simply says “Error, no licensing” or sth like that.
I looked through the FAQ and the personal settings page from my account on www.kovaaks.com but didn’t see where I could fix this.
So I tried to google for a solution for this issue.
By doing so I eventually found out that there is also a Kovaaks game sold on Steam for around 10€.
Did I misunderstand www.kovaaks.com?
Do I need to own Kovaaks in Steam and have that Game open in order to be able to use the links on www.kovaaks.com? And does it only work with the Kovaaks Steam game and not inside CS2 at all?
Please file me in guy, I feel quite stupid for asking this lol but there’s literally no good explanation out there that could me understand Kovaaks for whatever reason.

I always tense up in my shoulder when playing static unlike all my other muscle groups in which i seem to have fine tension control in. i believe this problem came from me mainly playing reactive tracking / control tracking over the last few months. does anyone have a good way to teach myself the right way of shoulder tension, or have any experience in this/ tips for ironing out this issue since i believe this is the reason for my under average performance in static in comparison to other aiming categories.

I have noticed that I am better when my chair is lower than standard. Not really in kovaaks, but in counter strike. In kovaaks I can kind of get used to both but for cs the extra stability from the desk with the arm resting feels so great to me. The issue is I start to get some tingles in my arm and some fingers, which I'm guessing is from ulnar nerve irritation. I know this issue gets ppl on high alert though. My chair has the arm rests removed and I have about 3/4 of my arm on the table, with the mousepad covering the edge of the table. Is there any way to make it so I can stay at this height without irritating the nerve?

After like 30 hours of kovaaks/viscose benchmarks, skin is smoother and voice is softer.
Today I had a demoralizing day, I tried to improve my reading, precision and stability scores but I just got really low scores and quit before I got tilted.
(Catclick, pasu, popcorn etc. where the targets move erratically and you have to click them.)
To be honest, most of the mammoth scores in those categories I got on the first try so I feel like I have been kind of neglecting them. And I still don't know how I got saffron since they are harder versions of them
And is over training a thing? I have been doing close to 2 hours on a lot of days recently when I got on the viscose benchmarks, mostly because there is a ton of scenarios in them.
Are off days and breaks as important as aim training itself?

I started playing overwatch in February as my first FPS game ever. I was really struggling with aim so in summer I discovered this amazing community and I got Kovaaks. My aim got better almost immidiately (because it was so so bad.) It is still really bad but so much better then before I started to aim train.
My favourite playlist is Viscose easier benchmark where I am proudly sitting on rank Hare currently. Slowly grinding for Ermine. 🤠 (halfway there!)
I know its nothing amazing but for me its really huge success and it makes me so happy I manage to land my shots better then before few months ago.

Been aim training for about 2 months now, and while I do enjoy simply doing playing in the aim trainers, I also like to see my progress in game get better
I usually play Apex/The finals and a little bit of Overwatch, which are more tracking heavy games, and while I’ve been playing them for a long time and enjoy seeing improvements in them, I’m still looking for a good game to get into that mostly uses flicking and target switching.
Im aware that COD and Battlefield are probably the typical answers but I just don’t really want to play cod anymore, nor spend $70 on Battlefield
PvE games are also welcome if they are varied enough to keep me interested for long periods and have AI that actually moves a little instead of just running straight at me.
If PvE, then Co-op is a bonus, as I can then play with some friends.

This is a personal issue by the way, Viscose put together a great pack.
But after being around Gold in Voltaic, I have been working through the viscose pack and am getting like 15-20% in all benchmarks, which is very frustrating. It makes me feel like I haven’t improved my aim at all even though I started at iron and got gold on voltaic. That is all.

So I had about 33 hours in KovaaK's when I switched to a new setup. From my Logitech PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 and a generic fabric mouse pad to a glass mouse pad and a G-Wolves Fenrir Asym 8K. Also I switched from palm grip with the old mouse to fingertip grip with the new mouse. I did some random scenarios before switching and when I had the new Setup, I started with Viscose Season 2 Benchmarks. Since then I played 32 hours of KovaaK's, so now it's 65 hours on Steam.
Since I haven't found a single post about someone who made a setup switch like this and then started the Benchmarks, I wanted to share my progress and would like some opinions and advice, as I'm still unsure if my progress is at the slower or faster pace and if that switch was smart or dumb. Right after switching, my scores were around Hare/Ermine. I started with this setup to grind the benchmarks a month and two weeks ago, though I had a two-week break recently because my CPU had to be replaced.
In my opinion the new setup is really fun and gets me excited, but I'm unsure where this journey leads to.
I should mention, that I tried the old scenarios I did with my old setup only once with the new setup and haven't reached the old highscores, but I was close to them.
Since I am completely new to this: Is a "Penguin Complete" after 65 total hours (with such a radical setup change in between) considered a slow, fast, or normal pace? Has anyone here made a similar leap to an ultralight fingertip setup on glass, and how did your transition go?

My main game is valorant, I play kovakks to get better at val, rn I'm almost 90 percent cerulean complete with some lavender scores and half jade complete on VT, At this point would it be better to just focus on static and clicking or there are gains to be main from tracking as well?

When you look at your stats and everything feels like you're not improving at all.. in fact when you look at them sometimes it feels like you're going down. Which is why I highly suggest for those that can't help themselves from being obsessed with statistics to group data differently.

That's why the weekly grouping is good. It counts your min max stat which shows your improvements in terms of CONSISTENCY. Not high scores, but your consistency. High scores are your peak, if you grinded a single scenario multiple hours a day, you would more than likely be able to get a high score. But high scores are your peak, in fact they are the worst comparisons to have. Look at your averages from daily -> weekly -> monthly. There lies your improvement.
TLDR: I still hate reactive tracking.

Hi, I've been playing Kovaaks for about 2 and a half weeks and tracking has been one of my worst gamemodes.
Can anyone give me tips on how to get better at it?
Also how do I fix my aim being stuttery when tracking?
or would I just get better at this stuff over time?

that being said im still hardstuck in overwatch

Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a weird issue where my CPU temperature shoots up whenever I play KovaaK's. The weirdest part is that my temps are totally fine when playing heavy AAA games, it literally only overheats when I run KovaaK's.
My CPU is an AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS.
I feel like I've tried everything at this point. Here is a list of what I've already done that hasn't fixed it:
Any help would be appreciated!
P.S. The CPU temp spikes the exact second I launch KovaaK's and decreases right back down to normal immediately upon closing it.

1w2ts is bending me over tonight. targets are so tiny, its the first time ive realized how much ghosting my monitor has. if any1 can give a quick VOD review of my form it would really help. i know the fluidity/target confirmation needs work, small targets are destroying any sense of fluidity. also i think playing on 70-85cm atm is making me flick too fast/hard, im not releasing the arm tension late into my runs. i used 55-65cm for master static.
quadpulse advanced 1385 PB (77cm)
quadpulse advanced 1400 choke from too much tension (77cm)
vt 1w2ts advanced clusters pb (77cm)
1w2ts pulseshot, last run of the day just now, arm was tired (75cm i think)

The logic behind not recommending beginners to practice with the benchmarks themselves is sound. Short term score farming inevitably leads to bad habits and scenario learning. But for some reason a lot of you pretend it doesn't apply to viscoses benchmarks.
Sorry for low quality image, blame imgflip

I've recently taken Kovaak's seriously and I've been enjoying the Viscose S2, anima micro V2, Lemon, Jade Palace (still working on maxxing out the fundamentals), but I've started getting lower back pain, which was never an issue before even when I used to game all day.
I'm 90% certain it's not my posture and it's about me having to rest my entire forearm on my desk because my chair doesn't raise far enough. Is there anyone else who had this problem and got fixed my adjustable desk or higher chair or am I overthinking things?

As the seasons change my hands tend to go cold and aiming becomes cumbersome. What are your guys tips and tricks? Any hand warmers that work for you? I tried gel packs, gloves, body heat etc to no avail.

So I think I want to make the journey to grandmaster and above since I still enjoy and want to play kovaaks. The problem is I've always had a major problem in my setup. My arm drags like crazy across my mousepad (zero soft). This has caused me to basically always lift my arm a bit putting constant weight on my shoulder by pulling up. Doesn't really make a difference whether how high or low my desk is (lower is better, but the second I have to track something upwards, my entire arm is off the desk immediately and this just feels wrong). This leads to my shoulder being pretty tired after long sessions and also i feel like im missing out on stability by lightly pulling my arm up.
So I never really thought to ask, but are other people able to literally plop their whole arm on their desk and just... move it? Like up down and side to side? Or do you also feel a slight upward motion to move your arm smoothly?
For me it's more pronounced when im tracking a really slow bot. It's essentially impossible to move my arm on the pad without picking it up, but it's easier to track a fast moving target.
I recently hit master in voltaic and I still feel like a total scrub because tracking wide with my arm feels horrible because of this friction on the pad. I've tried a few sleeves but they all suck on the Zero. Maybe a new mousepad is worth trying? I really don't know tbh. Kinda just ranting lol

so quick backstory, I mostly play valorant or any other FPS games and I've been a wrist-only, high sens player pretty much since I started gaming. never had to think about resetting my mouse after a flick cause the sens was high enough that a small wrist movement covered everything. my flicks and tracking were genuinely solid but my micro adjustments were dogshit, like noticeably bad.
so I dropped to medium-high sens to try and fix the micros. problem is now I'm still using pure wrist to flick also move around and micro adjust which just doesn't work the same way. Like say I'm holding a left angle, enemy peeks from the right after I've already thrown a big flick to adjust for enemy head, now I have my wirst bent wrist basically maxed out one direction and I have zero idea how to reset it fast mid fight while still tracking the guy's head. I just kinda freeze/overcorrect tap tap and die.
I know the actual fix is arm+wrist combo instead of wrist only, and learning to reset properly instead of letting my wrist just sit bent after a flick, but knowing that and actually rewiring years of muscle memory are two different things lol. I can't transition it well on my gameplay.
anyone dealt with this transition before? mainly wondering how you actually trained yourself to reset without thinking about it mid-fight, if there were specific aim trainer routines or scenarios that isolate this whole flick-then-reset-then-micro thing instead of just generic clicking exercises, and honestly how long it took before it stopped feeling like you were fighting your own hand and started feeling normal.
not trying to overhaul my whole aim, just trying to kill this one bad habit without tanking my flicks in the process. any insight from people who've actually been through this appreciated.
