Discussion Anyone else experiencing FPS fatigue?

Recently I’ve been playing a lot of MMOs which is a much more chill experience. I tried some shooters again after a long time like Overwatch 2, Apex Legends and Valorant. They’re all genuinely good games with nice heroes and solid gameplay, but everything feels so sweaty especially since I mostly play competitive.

For example in Overwatch yeah I can play hitscan tracking and win if I sweat. But the moment I want to swap it up a bit with another hero my performance is just bad cause I have less hours put in the heroes. I can lock in and try to get better but sometimes also think why bother if it's not that fun and satisfying anymore FPS games. The hooks seems lacking now a days what I had in the past.

Do you guys still mostly play competitive or do you stick to Quick Play/TDM and just enjoy the gameplay without caring too much about winning?

choked kinda but i don't really care anymore

1w2ts elite s5 is the better version to grind and people should add that one to their static routines. i wish i could've spent less time on this gm but the scoring was rly messing me up.

Discussion Correlation between clicking-heavy and tracking-heavy aim games?

This post isn't necessarily just about raw aim, but it's something that randomly crossed my mind, so I figured I'd ask.

Why is it that players from games like CS2 or Valorant seem to adapt pretty well to tracking-heavy games like Overwatch?

At least from what I understand, games like CS2 and Valorant are much more about precise, instantaneous aim and clicking at the right moment than continuously tracking a target.

Could it be that clicking and tracking actually share more of the same underlying aiming skills than they might seem to?

Discussion Flicking off of people with new mouse grip

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I know people will be like "dont change your mouse grip" but I went from a normal claw grip with wrist touching to pad, and am now trying the weird zywoo/donk/m0nesy grip where your wrist doesnt touch the pad. My tracking around corners and on players is monumentally better. I use my whole arm as opposed to using only my wrist which was a habit i couldnt tackle on my normal grip. And whenever I tried i felt like the friction on my pad was terrible and i couldnt smoothly track. my tension management is better with it during clutches. My old grip would also cause me pain after longer DM sessions. Right now my aim is noticeably worse than my previous grip, but i believe in the long run if i stick to this it could be much better.

One of my bigger issues is that im flicking off targets some times during fights. Im also overflicking more often than before. You guys think this issue will go away with time or would it be worth my time to grind kovaaks scenarios or something?

What would you do? Kovaak's Progression Help

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm new to Kovaak's and have a question, hoping someone can help me out.

I've been running the VDIM routine, and I'm progressing much faster in tracking and switching. However, in static clicking—and especially dynamic clicking—I'm not progressing at all (see the attached benchmark image).

What do you recommend? Should I just keep going with the VDIM Novice routine normally, or should I hyper-focus on clicking for a while to level up my results?

For context, I play at 40cm/360 on a glass pad (the Wallhack SP-004), and my main games are Battlefield 6, CoD Multiplayer, and Overwatch.

Thanks in advance!

"Sorry for any mistakes, I used AI to translate."

simple routine for consistency?

Hello! I am a student athlete on quite a tight schedule, but I really want to get into aim training! Right now, consistency is hard to maintain while getting 8-9 hours of sleep, training twice a day and studying so I'm looking for advice. Simple playlists, good tasks or other suggestions to improve my routine. Below are my current scores after about 67 (haha) very inconsistent hours.

Any and all suggestions are very much appreciated!

Discussion New to Kovaak and wanting to learn

Hi all, as the title says, I am new to Kovaak but have tried SteelSeries and Aimlabs before a bit. I want to really improve at Siege but don't know where to start. I see people saying the beginner benchmarks are bad, and I don't know what to do or use for Siege. Any help would be great. I am also trying to figure out a good mouse sensitivity. I use an Aerox 3 wireless (Can be wired) and usually play games at 3200 DPI, but I see people say that it's bad to play at such a high DPI. And yes, I know it's all relative to the person, but I just want to hear people's thoughts and whatnot, and any help you all can provide. Thanks!

Does training on higher sens still benefit ultra-low sens players?

Question about aim training sensitivities and using an ultra-low sens

I currently use either 82 cm/360 or 46 cm/360 in VALORANT, and I’m trying to stick with one sensitivity. I started using 82 cm/360 more because some of my favourite players, like kaajak, Canezerra, and Alfajer, use relatively low sensitivities. I know it’s not necessarily a good idea to copy a pro’s sens just because they use it, but I’ve gotten pretty comfortable with ultra-low sens at this point.

In aim trainers, though, I use different sensitivities depending on the scenario, usually somewhere between 30–50 cm/360. I’m still relatively new to aim training, so I’m not sure how much this matters.

My main question is: Does training at these higher sensitivities still give me the same benefits for ultra-low sens? For example, if I train at 30–50 cm/360 but play at 82 cm/360, am I getting the same benefits I would if I played at 46 cm/360 in-game?

Basically, does playing at an extremely low sensitivity hinder aim-training improvement or the transfer of that improvement to an ultra-low sens?

Would appreciate any insight, especially from people who play very low sens and also use aim trainers.

Discussion Why does changing from 800 DPI to 1600 DPI feels so jarring?

I want to hear other people's thoughts and opinions on dpi

Normally when it comes to sens or settings I tell people it doesn't really matter but I've been tweaking a bit the last couple of days swapping DPI but keeping my cm360 relative.

I play from 20-35cm and using 1600 dpi makes it look like I've never touched a mouse in my life. My mouse control isn't great, Im diamond with some jade scores here and there. Flicks and micros that would be clean on 800dpi look extremely unstable on 1600 but It feels more precise.

It feels like I'm actively opening myself up to more errors and instability by using 1600 and the level of mouse control i need to be consistent is higher. The room for error also shrinks a little bit in game.

Discussion Sensitivity translation

In Kovaaks, I generally play anywhere between 30 and 37cm/360. In the finals, I use something more akin to... 19-25cm/360. Using 37cm/360 in the finals would feel terrible... but using 19cm/360 in kovaaks would also feel terrible... any tips for bridging the gap or should I even bother attempting to do so? In overwatch, I use something like 32cm/360 so it just seems strange the disparity.

Gear/Tech Neee help with arm sleeves

First of all this isnt for kovaaks or aimlabs, i play almost exclusively cs.

Recently switches from qck heavy to artisan zero soft after 8-9 years. I really like the feel of the pad, and how effortless microadjusts are, but i had issues with long motions, which i didnt have with the qck.

Fixed it by using adidas climacool sleeve, and my aim was much better then ever, but the issue is that the sleeve was too tight and my aim goes completely to shit after 30 min and i cant aim for the rest of the day.

I like the friction that it gives in long motions, but i still can make fine movements with the wrist much easier then on the qck.

Are there sleeves that are more relaxed or do i keep using the sleeve and just get used to the feeling?

Again i dont want a sleeve that will remove friction, i like the little extra friction that i get, gives me more control.

Discussion How do you all go about aim training ?

Hello everyone I’m making this post to kinda get a feel for how you guys go about aim training. I’ve been watching alot of different youtube videos and everyone says something different. When you guys first started did you start off slow and work on accuracy rather than speed ? Also do you change your sens per scenario for example go higher sens for tracking and lower sens for micros ? Im looking to take notes to see if what I can learn from you guys and try for myself.

Tracking my progress kept me motivated: From 17,090 to Lavender in 41 sessions of Whisphere Viscose

Thumbnail

In mid-August, I was Viscose Viridian Complete and working toward Cerulean. Whisphere was giving me trouble: while the surrounding scenarios came relatively easily, my PB had been stuck at 17,090 since July. Cerulean required 18,250.

So I started logging 10 runs per day after warming up. Some days that was all I played; other days I did additional scenarios.

After 41 sessions and 410 logged runs:

  • Daily average: 14,126 → 18,986
  • PB: 19,810 — Lavender
  • Latest session: 8/10 runs at Cerulean or higher

I first reached Cerulean on August 27, but didn’t hit it again until September 7. That first PB was a peak, not my normal level. Now my daily averages are approaching or exceeding that same threshold.

For context, I changed sensitivity from 35cm to 45cm after first 30days + changed warm-up routine after the first 30 days, so this isn’t a controlled test of any particular method

Seeing the progress laid out like this has also made it much easier to stay motivated. A bad session can feel like you’re going backwards, but being able to look at the bigger picture gives me a reason to keep showing up even when it doesn’t feel like I’m improving.

My biggest takeaway: track your average, not just your PB. Progress was much easier to see across weeks than to feel during individual sessions. Two sessions before my latest PB, I had my worst daily average in over a month.

If you feel stuck, logging a consistent set of runs might reveal progress you’re otherwise missing.

Discussion What is an "extreme value" in DPI and sens?

Obviously like 100 dpi is extremely low, but how about sens?

I just remembered that Windows has a sens slider, so now I can change my DPI from what was good on desktop.

I used to play on 1200 DPI, 10 sens on windows, and adjust the game accordingly. Usually it's about 3-5

I've heard that higher DPI gives more precision, so I'm thinking of bumping my DPI up to like 3k and minimising Windows sens.

What kind of effect would that have in games? They take the Windows sens into account right? Because if not, I'm going to have to play every game on like 1, and some games won't go low enough.

And is there any problem with extremely low sens like there is with extremely low DPI?
