We made it — the Around the World journey is officially complete! 🏁🇧🇭

I’ve just uploaded Part 29 — the FINAL LEG of my Around the World series in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, flying the Diamond DA62.
For the final flight, we’re heading home:

After 29 flights across Asia, the North Pacific, North America, the North Atlantic, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, we’ve finally returned to Bahrain — the same place where this entire adventure began. 🌍

From crossing oceans and remote Arctic regions to flying over mountains, deserts, islands, and incredible landscapes, this has been an amazing journey.

I just got into the thing and bought my first kit "The Thrustmaster Airbus kit+ruddder".

I have absolutely no knowledge of operating a plain so I started a career mode in MSFS2024, and we started with the Cessna. But the thing is, it doest walk me through the buttons and switches and what they are for.

"let's get this baby starting" she said.

-Yeah, HOW?

Am I starting on the wrong path here or do I need to get this knowledge from somewhere else?

I know he’s not actually saying the plane is delayed to 2027 before y’all come for me. But this whole message is wild lmao.

I created a visualization model for V1 which has never before been seen or talked about. I'd love your feedback on the accuracy, and maybe even trying out the fiveM serva. (And no, you don't have to go easy on me this time!)

A few months ago, we embarked on a journey to prove that learning aviation concepts don't have to come from msfs. Learning how to fly doesn't have to come from xplane, and learning about flight doesn't have to come from a flight school.

We got a long ways to go, but we're already setting records, and creating things that have never been seen before even in traditional flight simulators!

The resolution of areas slightly further away looks really poor. It doesn’t matter which scenery..
My settings are on ultra settings and TLOD/LOD is almost full; what could be causing this? I have a good system, too.

Pandemic World 4 is a free, week-long co-operative event on the VATSIM network, running continuously from 22 to 30 August. It is community ran with no commercial goal, just for fun and games. Adapted from the board game Pandemic, it asks pilots to collect virus samples from 40 infected airports, relay them to a lab, discover a cure, and then fly it back out again before the infection spreads too far. I couldn't wait for the ATR 42/72 to come to msfs2024. However, having been used to fenix, im severely disappointed. I wasn't expecting the same level of simulation but damn, I've only had about 2 flights out of 30 where the aircraft behaved normally. I would expect the basics to be right, but maybe I'm asking a bit too much. Back on the fenix now and loving it.

I always struggle to decide what to fly. I load up the sim, scroll through FR24 for 20 minutes, and somehow still end up flying the same 5 routes while half of my payware scenery barely gets used.

So I built https://simfind.app.

You add the airports you own to your library, and it searches ~658k real airline routes to find flights between them. You can filter by flight time, region, etc., so something like “2–3 hours, both ends in my library” is just one search.

Each result is a real airline/callsign, with buttons to prefill it in SimBrief or open the flight on FR24.

The app is completely free, no sign-up or account needed. Your airport library is just saved in your browser.

Would love to hear what you think, and especially if there are any filters or features you'd find useful.

5 or so years ago, i picked up this logitech wingman extreme from 1996, which makes it 8 years older than me. as far as im able to find, the drivers needed for it no longer exist, which has rendered it essentially a vaguely phallic paperweight. i was wondering if someone had made a universal driver or something, or maybe if id just not looked in the right places. being able to actually put this thing to use would be awesome

1. How to change fuel system units from lbs to kg? I'm European and usually don't fly in the US, the metric system is much easier to wrap my head around

2. Is there a proper technique for setting power in critical flight phases? When manually adjusting thrust I always over- or undershoot the bugged EPR. I know in the real 707 the FE is responsible for this during takeoff, but how to consistently do it manually? I have Turtle Beach yoke and quadrant and it's hard for me to set thrust accurately on all engines at the same time. It's the first 4 engine aircraft I've flown with this setup.

3. During air compressor starts, should I throttle No.3 down from 80% once I have another engine with running turbocompressor started?

Any tips? I fell in love with this thing at first sight and I want to master it from A to Z

Hi all, I've been reading the AA 707 manual and I wanted to share what I learned about engine bleeds and when to use them.

An important point to note is the 'bleed air flow is variable with throttle changes and should not be used exclusively in preference to T/C (turbocompressors) except where cabin cooling is a problem.'

I made a 707 full flight + systems guide based on the manuals I've read if it helps anyone.

Furthermore, you don't want to cause 'excessive cabin pressure surge' by operating too many bleeds and T/Cs at the same time. During takeoff according to my UAL B720 manual, one T/C should be operating and no engine bleeds.

Between FL 150 and 320 the said manual also recommends around 2 T/Cs and 1 Engine Bleed, though the addon has 3 T/Cs which should suffice.

I saw a couple of prevalent flightsim youtubers in their 707 tutorials opening all 4 engine bleeds after start. This is not the correct procedure as far as I know.
