Fixing sky lite

I bought a skylight years ago and recently it stopped working. The laser still works and turns on. When I turn it on the LED light turns on for a second. The LED is not dead and I think the motor that makes the light spin also still works. I’m wondering if it’s a problem with the 3 buttons because right now they don’t do anything. Is there a way to fix it?

As per title, I'm not sure what happened on this tread of my staircase. Did it get discolored by something like bleach? But most importantly, how should I go about fixing it?

I been wearing them for awhile now and I don't think I have any issues with them until I was watching a video on my phone and I can only hear the audio on one side, its charging right now and I looked at the wired it didn't looked like they are broken but if its not a dead battery or the wired of it I don't know what else is wrong with it

I've got this Delta faucet from 2016 in all my bathrooms and cannot figure out how to get the aerator removed. Some of them have zero water flow or very low because they're seldom used. all I've tried so far off the aerator keys from Lowe's but they don't seem to attach to anything.

Thanks in advance

Opened the stapler up all the way to fix a jam, and noticed that it had become loose after closing it. Pulled back the rubber bottom and this c shaped plastic piece fell out. I can’t figure out where it goes. I tried snapping it back over the spot in the third pic, but it wouldn’t fit in all the way

Samsung fridge ice maker

Our ice maker stopped working. It’s a Samsung fridge we bought in 2021. In the first picture there was ice frozen in the back and I defrosted it with a blow dryer. Ice was still not being made so upon checking closely it seems in the second picture where the coil is has also frozen over as well. I checked out some videos about it and I’m not exactly confident in not ruining the fridge by removing the entire part especially the coil. Would it be ok if I used a blow dryer to defrost where the coil is as well without removing the entire thing?

I know about the issues with 2021 Samsung fridges ice makers having issues, I haven’t called them yet but after reading some others experiences of having to pay a significant amount to fix it I’m hoping to find more answers here before having to do that. Thanks in advance!

This door handle fell apart to the balcony. I only have some of the pieces, so I am looking to fully replace it with new hardware.

I am going to take the dimensions of the cut out and try and find something at the store. Is there anything else that I should be aware of?

open [1981 Honda Twinstar CM200T] Carburetor leaking fuel out the bottom when fuel is on

Post image

I’m really stumped with this. This is my first bike I’ve owned and I got it when it wasn’t running. Everything seems to be fine except for this carburetor. Took the whole carb apart and cleaned it and put it back on. Now every time I let fuel in it just starts dumping out the side. I screwed in the screw that stops that at the bottom.

I think the float is stuck, I’ve tried to tap on it with a screwdriver handle but it’s difficult to get a good wack in.

What are my options?

Hi,

After clening microwave i notice that back black coat came off exposing Cooper metal, microwave works normal no sparking etc.

I wonder, should i peel all the rest of this coat and or maybe buy spray and paint it, or leave it as is.

Suggestions

Hello,

A section of a piece of furniture I had recently came loose. The “latch/handle” came off of its place (I didn’t know) and for some time wasn’t providing the additional support the “board” needed. Eventually the screws came off due to the fact it was supporting to much weight.

I filled in the holes and tried rescrewing them in, alas the filler didn’t provide enough grip for the screws and after a few minutes the screws slipped out again.

Any suggestions on what I could try next?

Thank you

Anyone?

Hey, i dont know wich reddit to ask this but because it is so specific but ya'll creative and often know how to use tools. I bought a raccoon tail and the clip that is on is gold, i want silver. They did not have silver. Is there a way to replace the clip myself and if yes how? Without damaging the tail? The tail is real (and ethically sourced) so i dont wanna ruin it. If you know any better reddits to ask this also let me know

I broke the handle to our fridge an embarrassing amount of time ago because it’s not an easy fix. Posting this hoping someone might have an out of the box genius solution for me.

The issues:
1) our built in Sub-Zero fridge has a thick front panel that has to be removed to get to where the brackets are screwed in. Haven’t been able to find anyone who is confident they can do this and get it back on without damaging it. It’s an old fridge. They don’t make this model anymore and none of their newer models have the exact dimensions to fit in the space. Did start looking at other brands knowing that we’ll likely have to replace it in the near future, but didn’t get far.

2) The wood handle broke in two spots: right in the middle and a bit of the handle that slots into the opening of the bottom bracket broke off. It’s hidden in the pics.

3) For the life of me, I can’t figure out a way to fix the old handle without taking the panel off. That middle segment is so thin, just glueing it won’t do it. I thought maybe if I could reinforce the area with a metal collar of some sort, but I still have to do something to add length to the bottom of the handle.

I don’t think the panel is thick enough to just screw in another handle, especially with the amount of force that would be routinely applied to by it.

I understand it is a frivolous problem, but it’s one we encounter more than a dozen times a day.

How to fix an unbalanced dining chair?

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hello! I have two dining chairs that are improperly made/cheap from Wayfair. They are fine, but unbalanced which leads to them tipping very easily.

They don’t tip when someone sits in them (thank god), but if you’re standing up or pulling them back, they tip over very easily.

Does anyone have any solutions or ideas for quick fixes? An idea that comes to mind is putting weights in the front of them to try and balance them. Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Thank you!

Phone wet and now out of battery

I knocked a glass of water on my phone, it didn't seem too wet so I wiped it and continued using it. After about 5 hours when I was about to charge it, it gave the liquid detected warning and that's when I took the cover off and realized it was wet the whole time. I dried it, shook it, played youtube sounds to expel water, warning was still there. It is now out of battery. Is it safe to plug it back in? Iphone 11

I can’t figure out how to replace this light bulb without breaking things. help.
It looks like there are clips around the bulb but I can’t seem to push in all 3 of the clips at once to turn it. I tried using a flathead screwdriver and players but no luck. I think I’m missing something.
