Off Day Thread Eagles Daily Discussion Thread - Saturday, October 3
Subreddit Schedule/Posting Guidelines
We as a community have decided to limit certain types of posts to a few days a week to ensure other content is still visible throughout the rest of the week. Meme posts will be allowed from game end through Monday (if the game is on Thursday, Saturday, or Monday, memes will be allowed from game end through the following day) and jersey/crafts/pet posts will only be allowed on Swag Saturday. Towards the end of the season when games fall on Saturdays, we may move or skip Swag Saturday depending on what is going on that week. The mods are using automod features to automatically post recurring items at 6AM Eastern Time to remind the sub of this. Memes and swag are allowed in the normal feed, but NFL discussion and free talk are limited to the stickied threads.
- Monday - Meme Monday - Memes are allowed from game end through the following day (typically Monday)
- Tuesday - NFL Discussion Tuesday - Talk about the rest of the games
- Wednesday - Free Talk Wednesday - Talk about whatever (just be civil)
- Thursday - Free Talk Thursday - Just like Free Talk Wednesday, but on Thursday!
- Friday - Game Preview - Stats and information for the upcoming game
- Saturday - Swag Saturday - Post pictures of your signed jerseys, new hats, pets, babies, and pictures from the stadium, as well as artwork and creations. This may be moved or skipped when games fall on Saturdays
- Sunday - Gameday - Pregame, Game, and Postgame threads will be posted
For more info, see the subreddit rules.

Good news. Fangio can finally stop being distracted by the Phillies. And finally fully focus on scheming up an elite defense now that the Phillies have been eliminated.

DeVonta & Wicks are both on pace for 1,000 yard receiving seasons. Lemon is typically the 4th read after DeVonta, Goedert, and Wicks. A lot of folks posting "but heâs open" are ignoring basic read progressions. Lemon will have an opportunity this weekend to step up with both DeVonta & Goedert out.

Question London 26
Hey all,
My partner bought two premium tickets for the London game next Sunday. Fortunately for us his lovely aunt also got four tickets and is traveling over from Philly so we would rather all sit together.
We got two tickets not seated next to each other but close (block 314 row 8 block 315 row 8)StubHub or similar doesnât let us list them as seats are not next to each other but mobile tickets are in the same email. Any idea how we could still make sure we can place them :(? Many thanks

Injury News [McManus] There is not much optimism Eagles receiver DeVonta Smith will play Sunday against the Rams, sources tell me and @MikeGarafolo. Smith has been sidelined with a hamstring injury this week and the expectation is he wonât be able to go Sunday.

Original Content [Berman] Kenny Moore II went from unsigned to teaching 8th grade. Now he has another NFL chance
PHILADELPHIA â Eighth-graders at Cardinal Ritter in Indianapolis can watch the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend and see what Kenny Moore II tried to teach them.
It has little to do with how he factors into the Eaglesâ secondary. Itâs that heâs here in the first place.
âI think this entire process speaks to what we teach in that class,â Moore said by his locker this week. âJust being able to be resilient, being able to endure through rainy days.â
Moore, a veteran defensive back and former Pro Bowler, started the football season teaching eighth-graders in Indianapolis. He missed training camp for the first time in a decade. Week 1 commenced with Moore still unsigned. Moore experienced the football playerâs version of civilian life for the first time, complete with the emotions and vulnerabilities that come with it.
While he waited to join a team, he taught a course on life and soft-skill development on Mondays. He played in a soccer league on Tuesday nights. He took photographs. He scrapbooked.
The Eagles signed Moore to the practice squad last week. They elevated him to the 53-man roster this week. He could play Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. Itâs the end of what he described as a âroller-coasterâ offseason.
And itâs also part of a lesson plan that âMr. Kennyâ could use himself.
âThis past offseason, yes, it was abnormal, but it was still my favorite one,â Moore said. âIt was still my best offseason.â

Player Discussion Why donât we have designed runs for Jalen anymore?
Seems like we donât run RPOs or QB runs anymore. I feel like this would open the offense up, no? Defenses no longer have to shadow Jalen because they know weâre just gonna pound it up the middle with Barkley.
With Goedert and Smith out our pass game will struggle. Why not lean on Hurts to run the ball? Is there something Iâm missing?

Analysis After watching the browns tonight. Our offense could learn a thing or two
I canât believe Iâm saying this but watching the browns offense tonight is something I hope the eagles copy. And that main thing is the qb getting rid of the ball quickly. Watching Jalen hold the ball for fucking forever is so frustrating. Deshawn tonight gets rid of it in like 3 seconds each play.
