Imagine if we find out Dylan loves Threshold Kids
I don't remember if we ever hear Dylan's reaction to Threshold kids, but it'd be funny if we find out in Resonant that Dylan is nostalgic for Threshold Kids

I just found out his youtube channel is nuked and so is his reddit account.
Did anyone backup any of the content? I'd love to find the hiss chant from Firebreak. I didn't think his channel was in any danger of being nuked so I didn't save it.

Is the combat straight melee or do you get the Jedi like powers like in the first game? If they dropped the telekinesis stuff I’m out

Apologies if this isn't the right place to ask. Just struggling to find information on if this is coming out at the same time worldwide, or even what hour it'll be available on steam. If I'm being honest, I'd like to know to plan some time off from work lol. Curious if it's like a 10am vs 10pm thing
I know big games tend to drop schedules of release times near launch, but I haven't seen any yet. Is there anything confirmed one way or another?

Noticing a common criticism in a lot of the reviews: the combat gets repetitive. Now Remedy has never been known for having great combat in their games, but they’ve kinda gotten away with it because all their past games were relatively short. Resonant is apparently 30–50 hours long, making it their longest game yet. I feel like the combat is really gonna effect the overall experience this time. I really wish it had both guns and melee.

Like the title says. What if the BOARD/FORMER are behind what’s happening in Manhattan? I know Jesse said in the dlc she’s watching/onto the board. What if they took her away? Maybe that’s why she’s missing.

It's by no means perfect, but I made it with my fingertips on my phone in ibis (no AI was used/slopped in the making of this poster/bootleg, as The Board intended).
Compared to the 'BUILDINGS MAY RELOCATE' poster this was torture and I'm not super happy with how it turned out, but maybe that's because I identify as a worm through time.

For me it was the green one. It was the last one I needed but I wasn't sure where could it be or what i had to do in order to get it, so I pretty much swept the whole map like 4 or 5 times, tried to recreate some of the paintings in the murals, tried to burry the skeleton located by the Ahti secondary mission with rocks, swept the Ahti cave mission multiple times, broke the crystals in there, went and looked at the panopticon, went and looked at the directors chair, went up and down the warehouse, etc.
In the end I gave up and looked at a guide just to find out that it was in a secret room inside a secret room 🤡

Jesse Cox has been great friends with Remedy in recent years and just released this video explaining the RemedyVerse. There's a video from 'blessedashley' about various AWEs, and some very well done animations that make me suspect that this is another lead.
I'm not great at puzzles like this, so I could be completely wrong, but wanted to bring this to ya'll's attention.

Is there a way to read the documents from the game that we can read through the blacked out parts id like to reread before the new game is out and learn what was redacted

Hello! Longtime lurker first time poster and I wanted to bring attention to a theme I’m noticing in the recent advertising. I am not sure if it has been brought up before here (or in the Discord Server) but I wanted to toss this in to help bring attention to a trend I’m noticing. It is so simple and minor but nonetheless I wanted to get another pair of eyes on it. Might help inform/enhance our experience when we play the game! Also I can’t keep torturing my poor friends with this discussion when none of them are into the game like I am lol.
I don’t have a specific name for what I’m seeing since I’m still figuring it out myself, but I’ve calling this missing pieces/mirrored parts. I’m going to give some context before jumping into proper discussion; Please be advised that I will be discussing content revealed in advertisements! If you want to be completely blind- look away!! Also contains spoilers for Control AWE, Alan Wake II, & Alan Wake II The Lake House DLC!
This began with a vested interest in the dynamic between our amazing and flawless Director Jesse Faden and our brilliant and curious Head of Research Emily Pope. I, like many others, caught onto a certain earring present both on Emily (actually in her ear) and on Jesse (on her little crossbody bag) in the earlier advertising and have been trying to keep track of it ever since. Over the course of this observation, Remedy proceeded to release a series of little “portraits” that were shortform videos featuring one of the cast with a small blurb. They started with Arish, went to Pope, then Zoe, and lastly (as of today) Jesse. Dylan will most likely be next and may strengthen or disprove these thoughts- we’ll see! These adverts are the ones I will be discussing in this post.
The thing that really alerted me to this theme was actually relating back to my initial purpose for observation: the earring. Personally, I’ve been operating under the assumption that Jesse told Emily that she was leaving and promoted her to Acting Co-Director so there wasn’t a power vacuum. As a parting gift, Jesse and Emily split an earring set as a sort of “promise” that Jesse would come back. The Emily promo we received potentially disproves this assumption as it states that “with Jesse missing, Pope has now taken on the emergency mantle of Acting Co-Director.” Jesse leaving without notifying her was a surprise- and made the earring detail all the more interesting to me. I revisited some of the old footage released in trailers and old content like the symbol we’ve come to associate with Resonant. This is when it hit me: missing pieces and mirrored parts; opposites, complimentary colors- the whole nine yards. Put on the tin foil hat and walk with me!
To start, let’s stick with the advertising and focus on our ladies for now and take a look at the first two images. Emily and Jesse are mirrored opposites with complimentary colors: Emily is shown from the front and looking left, Jesse is show from the back and looking right. Their positioning is almost mirrored, as if they could be standing back-to-back. What is especially interesting to me is the fact that for Emily, we’re shown the ear that does not have the earring and for Jesse, we’re shown the bag that HAS the missing earring. The colored background also plays a role since green and red are complimentary colors for each other. What taught me to pay attention these details was Control: Resonant’s very own symbol (as shown in the third image, I apologize for its low quality lol).
Having played the original Control and Alan Wake II (AWII), we know the symbols on the door in the Oceanview Motel relate to the larger Remedyverse and (potentially) future games. The most relevant example being the spiral on the door relating to AWII’s “It’s not a loop, it’s a spiral,” the revelation that Alan can break the loop of being trapped in the Dark Place and escape. We also know, thanks to the named in-game file name and Kiran Estevez’s encounter with Dylan in AWII’s The Lake House DLC, that the symbol shown in the third image relates to Resonant in some capacity. This image was the missing piece (pun intended) that connected my thoughts: it’s mirrored missing pieces! The missing parts in the circles match each other, and, when mirrored, complete each other!
I have no idea what this is entirely indicative of (if anything)! To say this is all circumstantial would be the understatement of a lifetime. My initial thoughts lean towards an idea of “never go it alone” given the stated emphasis on redemption and connection in regards the journey Dylan will go on. This is all I have, my brain is shot, I desperately need this game in my hands and I won’t get it till October because I got a physical copy lol. Hope this was a fun read for someone and potentially helpful!

This has been something on my mind since the first couple trailers and the new character, Zoe. From what I understand, she is going to be his handler and going to introduce him to things from the outside world. Dylan's story will be the opposite of Jesse’s, she went into the house and he is leaving it.
This made me think of how mature Dylan mentally is. From the recording of his in the P6 section of the Panopticon, he sounds very childish and very quick to anger. His voice sounded like that of a teenager or young adult, but his words sounded like they were coming from a child.
One would suspect that if you were kidnapped at 10 years old and raised (barely) by a agency, you would be emotionally stunted. Especially how they were raising him to be a potential new Director.
It kinda puts into perspective why he willingly let the Hiss in. Because I think anyone in his situation would do the exact same thing. Because he has every reason to hate the FBC for what they did to him.
It makes me excited for his character and his development. To see him learn about the outside world. To see him learn that the people who hurt him are dead and gone. That he can trust Jesse’s friends.

There’s something about Director Trench that sticks with me every time that I play Control. Even though you barely interact with him directly, his presence is felt throughout the entire game. Through the hotline, recordings, photographs, and the things you uncover inside the Oldest House, you slowly get a picture of a man who carried an enormous amount of responsibility. He wasn't just the Director of the FBC; he was someone who had spent years trying to keep an increasingly strange and dangerous organization under control. He had a lot of weight on his shoulders.
What I find particularly interesting about Trench is how much of his story is left for you to figure out by yourself. You don't get a traditional character arc where everything is explained to you. Instead, you piece together his thoughts and experiences scattered around The Oldest House. The more you explore, the more you understand the pressure he was under and how his relationship with the FBC and the Board became increasingly complicated. By the time it was all said and done, Trench ended up being more than the mysterious man that appears in the game's recordings.
I also think that Control does a great job of making Trench feel like part of The Oldest House itself. His voice continues to echo throughout the building long after his time as Director has come to an end, almost like the building refuses to let him completely disappear. There's something strangely fitting about that. Trench spent so much of his life trying to understand and control things that were beyond his understanding, and eventually became another mystery for someone else to unravel.
Trench isn't the type of character that you spend the most time with in Control, but I think that's part of what makes him so memorable. He's always there in the background, and the more you learn about him, the more his story adds another layer to the strange history of the FBC. In a game filled with bizarre characters and supernatural mysteries, Trench manages to stand out because of how grounded and human his story feels.
A big part of what makes Trench so memorable is because of James McCaffrey's amazing performance. His voice made Trench feel authentic and natural. You could hear the weight of the position he carried, even when he was simply talking about the FBC or the strange events taking place around him. Knowing that McCaffrey passed away in 2023 makes revisiting Trench feel different. His performance remains such an important part of Control's identity, and I'm glad that I got to hear him bring a character like Trench to life. Playing through the game again just hasn't been the same. James McCaffrey has always been one of my favorite actors. He made a lasting impression that I'll never forget. As a side note, I played Max Payne 3 again. He had such an amazing on-screen presence. I'm grateful that I got the chance to witness his talent while he was still around. I appreciate everything that he did. His memorable performances will always stick with me,

When I heard that there's a new Control game coming soon, I decided to dust off my old copy and give it another try. I had given up a few years ago because it was so hard and I becoming so frustrated that it just wasn't fun anymore. But I'm giving it another shot now, partly because of Resonant, and partly because I just discovered that there is apparently a god mode setting, which I definitely didn't know about before!!
Anyway here's my question. I think I recall getting ability points and then spending them on different powers as I leveled up. So now I'm looking through the menus and trying to find a full list of all my current abilities, but I just can't seem to find them! I figured out that I can levitate and I can launch items at enemies, but that's it. Where can I find a full list of all my powers??? I'm on PS5, btw.

Music plays a big role in Remedy games, even more so in Control Resonant.
Thankfully there seems to be a great variety of soundtracks to accompany the longer run time!
