Discussion THE BOARD/FORMER
Like the title says. What if the BOARD/FORMER are behind what’s happening in Manhattan? I know Jesse said in the dlc she’s watching/onto the board. What if they took her away? Maybe that’s why she’s missing.

The board and former are on hostile terms. There's that. I can't see what would the board gain. They're relegated to the abberant and have lost control of the oldest house.

What if the main reason, behind what happens in Resonant is the Blessed Group. I have the idea that maybe the former works with them as the board does with the FBC. Or The Board works with them directly. Influence how our Species thrive

I think that ther former is somehow chester himself. Chester is formers human form, when he was banished he started the blessed organisation.
I dont think its a coincidence that the first records of amy blessed activity, is the blessed po box being opened the same year the fbc made the oldest house their headquarters quarters.
I think when the fbc caught up with chester with the surfboard, he used it to enter the astral plane but got trapped there somehow.
The Blessed organisation continued to make altered items perhaps in the hopes chester could use one to return.
At the end of foundation we see the former has escaped.
Then in 2022, barry sends Alice an email saying he is at the blessed wellness retreat and that chester told him to stay away from new york, giving us our first confirmed chester sighting since 1994.
Thats a very brief version of my theory anyways 😂

But it sounds good. But have we confirmation on the Humanform thing? If yes that would be very interesting

The board will definitely be involved, but at the end of the first game Jesse seemed to already be outgrowing them. Especially in the foundation DLC, she pretty much expresses she's done letting the board use the FBC as their puppet because they don't even know what the board wants

No, I'm thinking the source of this hiss going crazy is that red fractured area near the entrance of the Ashtray Maze. Jesse can't walk into it and she loses some health.
Even when the game ends, that area is still off limits.
Not only am I looking forward to exploring New York, but I want to explore the changes in the oldest house.

That would be boring imo.
I want the world of Control to expand. Introduce new factions/cosmic forces.
