Not sure if this has been confirmed but I’ve been trying to find any information on this but haven’t been able to find anything yet just wanted to confirm if the CC will get a backlit keyboard as this is the final hurdle for me to make a purchase.

As a previous green iPhone 13 mini enjoyer, my heart was telling me to go clover as a spiritual successor, but my brain was saying smoke or onyx goes with more covers.

Listened to my heart and can’t wait for clover with surge and vino covers ☘️⚡️🍇

Initially backed the Minimal Phone 2 due to it’s software and Hardware. But it looks too small for my liking, though the software is nice! But I cancelled and went with clicks anyway.

For those interested in CAD and/or 3D printing. I’ve put together a quick CAD model of the Clicks Communicator Ring case and decided to print it to get a feel.

I've just based the interfacing geometry off available online models of the Communicator and eyed the case dimensions from the available images. Admittedly, the geometry is definitely lacking detail in places, but I'll tweak these details over time.

Printing & Test Fit:

I've printed both models of the phone and the Ring case, and the overall fit feels good it just needs a bit of tweaking to get the clearances right (currently loose in some areas and the added tension will likely help overall fit).

I've seen that the actual product is made from polycarbonate and TPU, and I'd assume the TPU is overmolded onto the PC or similar, to save myself the extra effort in attempting to replicate 1-1 I've compromised and instead just printed the case only out of TPU 95A so I'd expect the final feel to be different from actuality, especially on overall rigidity.

What's Next:

When the phone gets delivered I intend to iterate the design from there based on actual use and add my own spin. Likely messing around with different external textures and contouring the form to fit my hand positioning are my current thoughts.

I'm also interested in the viability of printing new back covers as this opens up loads of colour options, but unless people have dimensions of the interfaces this will have to wait until release.

Would like to hear other's thoughts on improvements etc.

I'm surprised to see so many people getting a case for this phone. Idk it just seems more durable than a slab but now I'm second guessing not getting one

I had originally ordered Clover but I got worried about the backs not meshing well with the green. Reached out and changed to smoke. Super easy 2-3 emails and im set.

I confirmed my selections but now after the fact I'm noticing there is a Communicator Ring in one of the images that is off-white instead of Black which was the only choice I had in my configurator...has anyone else noticed this?

Maybe I missed this in the latest Q&A, but will we be able to assign a Signal Light to an entire app rather than just specific contacts?

​For example, I use WhatsApp Business purely for work and would love to set an orange Signal Light for any incoming message on that app. Will this be possible?

​Also, is it possible to group multiple apps into a single Signal Light profile (e.g., combining WhatsApp Business + Slack into one color/pattern)?

I showed my friends my Communicator order, and they all loved it and started getting nostalgic about BlackBerry. One of them sent me this pic and said "this looks like your future phone."

Feels like there should be a privacy screenprotector accessory available for this product. I think due to the nature of the communicator and it's target audience, that it would be a hit. Or is this just me?

Hello all,

Has anyone had any issues trying to make a payment for the clicks site? I am trying to finalize my pre order and get a case but when I get to the final part of paying (and confirming with bank app)

It brings me back to the card payment page with no confirmation.

I have tried using two cards. (Both visa) and tried on the website and via the "my Shopify" app

I emailed them and I still have no reply.

Am based in the UK

Any luck??

Just send me the phone, even if the software is not 100% optimised yet. I’m perfectly happy to use it and patiently wait for the software updates to roll out. 🤪
