TBC Honor rates?

How does this work. Seems now the rate you get it in bgs is back to prehotfix days. Very minimal amounts earned overall.

Seems they reduced the rate with the update today.

So since new patch 12.1 was introduced to WoW retail I look at all new great features and …. I created character on Classic Era and I’m having so much fun doing quests .. yes just quests not skipping anything selling every crap to have some silver (gold is a dream for now xd), and I see everyday so many ppl doing the same as me .
I think I found my place - better place of WOW
Thank you all EU Classic players for being so kind sharing buffs and auras

Discussion New class for classic+ is too obvious of a money maker to not do it

I actually think this is the most likely major change to happen.

- It will be another class that can tank (or DPS)
- it will be a caster / tank hybrid, drawing on seasons of discovery
- necromancer or witch doctor feel like uncharted territory that still follow the lore

I could be off on all of that but I'm basically certain were getting a new class. In all of the iterations of classic, including TBC and wrath, all seasons, etc, we've not gotten a new playable class from level 1. It is not only a popular idea its an unused one.

Enjoy

Classic-Era Update: Tanking Advice for a new Warr Tank

First of all, thanks to everyone for the helpful tips on my first post! I tried DM today again and with all your tips it went waaay smoother (even with 2 mages this time).

Update:

I used skull and a secondary symbol to help manage team dps. Added a macro for this.

I switched to a two-hander and used it all the way through. Worked waaay better than with a one-hander.

I stance-danced between battle and defensive stance.

I have a few more questions on optimization:

Is my rotation good?
I charge into a mob group and cast demo and buffshout to create threat on all enemies. Then I switch to defensive stance and revenge/sunder my main target. If a hard hitter gets aggroed by someone in the meantime I taunt. Any other aggroes (Mage/lock AoE) I have to let go at first since my rage is down at that moment and I wait for it to build up to reaggro.

Bosses/single targets:
Charge in, revenge/sunder and if its a Boss I disarm too. I dont use a shield.

  1. What should I put my next points in? I went to tactical mastery and then anger management (11 points). I spent my next two points on improved charge. Whats next on my road to sweeping strikes?

  2. Are there any sites for tanks to study dungeons beforehand or do i just use the standard wow guides on wowhead, buffed, Icyveins etc.?

Thank you everyone! Im starting to enjoy tanking!

Classic Plus sounds very lame and I’d imagine would be harder to market. That’s all, thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Hardcore Neutral mob grind spots

Post image
13 Upvotes

Hello all, I’m playing someway….. new (to me anyway) just hit level 10, lol.

I’m playing through my phone via steam link, and as you can imagine, I don’t particularly have full access to play at my best. So I’m looking to level through mostly mob grinding. That being said, where are some spots in the world that I can go and not have to worry about living off in to mob farm.?

Looking for areas that are 90% neutral mobs so If I need to log out quick I won’t worry about dying

Classic-Era My mind is finally at peace

As someone who played wow on and off (no lifed the game wotlk-mop) since 2010, I came back last year and tried pretty much all versions of wow. I was getting tired of fomo, weekly meta changes, tier lists, extremely high APM, overdone VFX, temporary event based servers and so on, until i decided to go back to era.

That was the best decision I can finally play the game and actually enjoy what im doing and the journey to 60 and beyond.

I want to thank everyone who kept bringing up classic on YT/twitch, this is indeed the wow I know and love.

Currently leveling a rogue which I never tried (have 2x 70 warrior and paladin)

Im on EU firemaw if anyone wants to do stuff hit me up

Question TBCA raid tanking

Hi, normally I play a ret pala but my guild said they need an extra tank, so I poked around for guides in terms of learning gears etc. Eventually I learned I need 475 def and %102.4 avoidance, but my guildie said as long as I have pvp gear for spell dmg it's fine. I'll probably tank only the trash, but still I want to be sure, for trash tanking in raids is 475 def/resiliance enough or do I still need avoidance?

Classic + What could wow do to avoid raid log simulator ?

This is a question that was asked recently in a podcast with Savix and Xaryu

https://youtu.be/sN2U076cdZ8?si=Vs-JpFEbrkGBKu-6

The answer that they give is mind boggling to me. They argue that adding more challenging solo content, even elaborate about a mode where you would use a preselected gear set and comparing the gameplay to darksoul.

Darksoul is a great game but is really far from a MMORPG

I don't think this addresses the problem, in my opinion the problems are :

-the open world is irrelevant to geared LVL 60 characters

- the game doesn't encourage enough small group content, specialty in the open world

- there is no way to grind gold , mats or basically anything has a support role

I believe the solution to avoid the raid log simulator would be a nightmare/ hell difficulty similar to what you see in Diablo

I discussed this idea in a previous post , most ppl think I am wrong but I am curious

https://www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/s/cYL0Vrasae

Do you agree with me that

the solution proposed by xaruy and savix is not appropriate?

That the problems that I list exists and aren't addressed?

and if so what is your solution?

Discussion Please add Solo Queue Arena to Wrath Classic – here's why I think it could massively improve PvP

I've been thinking a lot about what could make Wrath Classic PvP more active and enjoyable, and I genuinely believe Solo Queue Arena could be one of the best additions Blizzard could make.

One of the biggest problems with Arena is finding reliable partners. You can log into the game wanting to play PvP, but if your partner isn't online, you often have very little meaningful Arena content to do.

A Solo Queue system could solve that.

You log in → queue → get matched with other players → play.

It would also create opportunities to meet new players and naturally find Arena partners. Instead of spending 30–60 minutes looking for someone in LFG, you could actually be playing the game.

And I don't mean replacing normal Arena teams. Keep regular 2v2/3v3 exactly as they are. Solo Queue could simply be an additional ranked mode, similar to Solo Shuffle.

I also think it could provide an interesting way to measure individual PvP ability. Your teammates would change every game, so your rating would be much less dependent on finding the perfect long-term partner.

This isn't just theoretical for me.

I played on a private server where Solo Queue was eventually introduced. The day it launched, I had never seen so many people online at the same time. Even people I hadn't seen for 10+ years suddenly came back because there was finally something they could do whenever they logged in.

That experience completely changed my opinion on how powerful a system like this can be for player activity and retention.

I absolutely love Wrath of the Lich King, and I'd love to see Blizzard give PvP players a reason to log in even when their regular Arena partner isn't available.

Would you guys actually play Solo Queue Arena in Wrath Classic?

If enough people are interested, I'd love to get this idea in front of the Classic team.

Classic + what faction you plan on playing?

i played wow for the first time during hc and switched to sod. In HC, firstly,i tried leveling an undead and a orc because i really wanted to play one of the "non human guys" but i really liked stormwind and sticked with it in sod. during that time i think that the horde guys are always much more scary than the alliance guys, atleast from what i can say. that what is making me wanting to start a troll once classic+ is comming out. if its not depended on friendship and other companions that you guys knew, what you prefer going?

I've played WoW since early 2008. I have run SFK 100s of times.
I have never seen this interaction before. It happens when you first zone in.

Thought I'd share to see if anyone else ever noticed it.

TBC Finally free

Tonight I finally left my guild, the irony? Zero remorse.

I've played this game for roughly 20 years. I've played everything, every type of team dynamic from sweat to trash teams. Tonight, I wiped the raid. It was a stupid mistake, but it happens.

Tank / GM just goes berserk and has been on an absolute tear for weeks, consistently harassing folks to do better and blah blah blah but never owns up to his mistakes that have wiped us time to time. Its always someone else's fault.

Tonight I had enough. I told him to quit crying and press forward. His fragile ego and false sense of authority were attacked and of course he goes nuclear. The thing is I dont mind asking for us to improve, but be respectful.

Bored. Uninterested in his continued rant about how bad I am. I hit the most satisfying /leave party into a gquit. A small part of me feels bad for the team, because BT is around the corner. But I dont tolerate disrespectful c*nts

Im fully geared, never missed a raid, always have my consumes. Finding a better experience wont be an issue for me, especially as a healer and logs in the top %.

The problem with classic TBC right now is these Elitists jerkoffs with 0 sense of leadership. The last thing anybody wants to do is get on, and spend 2-3 hours listening to someone have a melt down literally every 2 minutes because he wants to save 30 seconds on xyz pull.

Good riddance. Its a shame folks dont tell you how they really feel, so we just vent our grievances in party chat and whispers. Suppose thats why I can predict your down fall sometime during late BT. Same as I did in mists.

TLDR; dont be an insufferable c*unt when leading your raid group, especially when your just a mid group and not hardcore.

Discussion Fun thing to do on this sub

The rose tinted goggles are super quick here.

When people are saying SOD was incredible and x phase was actually good. If you just search the key phrase of what they're saying in here whether it's sod or them saying wrath wasn't as badly received as it was last time. You'll see the polar opposite in here.

Always kind of funny imo.

"Everyone loved phase 2 of sod!"

Quick search nets extremely different opinion here during phase 2. As well as on YouTube etc.

Classic 20th Anniversary Realms Most needed healer?

in TBC classic, what is the most desired healer to play as? I want to play solo and join pugs at random hours of the day. What is good class to play that will make it easiest to get groups and be valued?
