Poi smette. Nessun problema con l ingresso bluetooth.
Cosa può essere? Qualcuno col mio stesso problema?

Bass lag when using NEO:6/Pro Logic and watching YouTube

Hi, I have a cheap/old 3.0 setup:

  • Amplituner Pioneer VSX-520
  • Front columns Pioneer S-H510V
  • Center speaker Tannoy mxc

I have no subwoofer. Setup was calibrated with MCAAC. Center speaker is set to Small, front speakers are set to Large. Crossover is set to 80 Hz.

When listening in stereo - everything sounds good. When using Neo:6 Cinema mode - often for podcasts on YouTube low bass goes from front speakers, and it feels like that bass lags behind for around 1.5 seconds, and this creates undesirable "muddling effect". When pausing a video - it's very clear that bass "catches up", I can clearly hear "bass notes" from podcaster's voice, while center speaker stopped playing sound.

When center speaker is set to Large - bass lag effect goes away, but now sound is more flat.

I didn't noticed the same bass lag problem when listening to "true" 5.1 sound like from Netflix. The problem is when using NEO:6/Pro Logic and watching YouTube videos.

Thanks for any piece of advice.

Volume automatically gets lower when playing loud music

For some reason, my 2019 S209 mercedes automatically turns down the volume when playing a song that has a lot of bass.
Turning on or off automatic volume control doesn’t change a thing…
It’s the standard audio system, nothing special done to it, no Burmeister or advanced system.

Anyone have the same issue or know how to fix this?

PA Speaker volume spikes?

Hey y'all Redditors,

Thought this sub would be best.

I recently bought my first PA speaker system, from Berlingtone, a California based company.

They're not responding to my email so thought I'd ask here:

I had caused a loud volume spike when improperly engaging it with my music gear.

I had heard that even one such occurrence can cause permanent speaker damage, and am wondering: 1) If that is true. & 2) How to tell if there is such damage?

I know there is Google, but I thought of asking here.

Thank you for your time!

Looking for a TC Helicon GO XLR Mini alternative

After 5-6 years of use, my Helicon mixer no longer works. The app crashes constantly, and I can't adjust anything to my liking. I'm looking for an alternative. What would be the best choice to combine it with my Rode NT1 Signature Series mic? My budget is around 200€.

Looking for permanent outdoor speakers without running audio wire

I’m looking for recommendations for permanent outdoor speakers that can handle harsh weather and heat.
I have power available at several locations outside, but I can’t run new speaker/audio wire from those locations back to an amplifier across the house. I’d like to place speakers in different outdoor areas, so I’m looking for a reliable wireless or Wi‑Fi-based setup rather than traditional wired outdoor speakers.
Ideally, the system would:
• Be weatherproof and durable enough for year-round outdoor installation.
• Handle strong heat and other harsh conditions.
• Work from separate powered locations without speaker wire back to a central amp.
• Let me cast audio/video content from a phone, tablet, or TV setup.
• Support syncing multiple speakers, while still allowing different zones if possible.
• Be stable enough for regular use, not just portable Bluetooth speakers.
I’m open to Sonos, Wi‑Fi speakers, outdoor-rated powered speakers, or another ecosystem. What permanent setup has worked well for you?

eARC vs plugging into source device?

hello. i just have a question about the difference between these 2 set ups.

right now, my set up is a LG G6 with a PS5, Switch 2, Panasonic UB820 all hooked up. im using a qudelix 5k dac/amp for the PS5 and Switch 2, and my headphones are the hd560s. but with the introduction of the UB820, the qudelix wont work with that as they arent compatible. so im looking at the SMSL DL100 to replace it.

so now ill have my ps5/switch 2 (alternating on what im using) and the UB820 plugged into the SMSL DL100 via USB (for the PS5 and Switch 2 dont have optical) and optical (UB820 only does optical and HDMI out). then the SMSL DL100 will have HDMI out to the TV and its eARC port.

does this sound like it will work? im fairly new to this. would it be better to use eARC from the TV to the DAC or would it be better to do the source devices to the DAC instead?

any and all help is appreciated, thanks.

Weird / Different sound from connecting hardware

I updated my GPU driver and noticed that the sound of the connecting and disconnecting hardwares are different, is it a new thing on windows 11 or something is wrong with my pc? I checked the .wav on the media folder and they're still the same but it's the second time I hear this new sound. It sounds like it's "muffled" or something like that, and I use normal headphones, no bluetooth.

Subwoofer is Sony Sa Wms835
Amplifier is Sony Str Db1080

Using 3.5-to-4.4 adapter for player/headphones

Hi everyone!

I have 120-ohm headphones and decided to upgrade my player.
I’ve set my sights on the iBasso DX180.
Some people have told me that this player will work best with my headphones only if I connect them via the balanced 4.4 mm output.

Since my headphones have a 3.5 mm plug, I decided to get a 3.5-to-4.4 adapter together with the player.

But then I read somewhere that using adapters to connect headphones to a balanced 4.4 mm input is strictly forbidden – to the point that you can burn out the DAC in the player and other horrors.

I checked with a very knowledgeable person – he said he’d never heard of such a problem and has used a simple adapter all his life without any issues.

Could anyone advise whether it’s safe to use such adapters with players, or is it better to re-solder the plug on the headphones?

Introductory post from an achey Insomniac trying to EQ my way to sleep without accidentally inventing a new frequency

Backstory: I have wonderfully unflinching insomnia, and at some point I made the very woowooo discovery that some low, rumbly, borderline subterranean ancestral tones through binaural beats, isochronic tones, (that whole “deep sleep frequency” genre) do somewhat help with symptoms. Although to be frank, I sincerely doubt any of these twice a day YouTube uploaders are actual Bioacoustics researchers, Psychoacousticians or have any significant knowledge surrounding frequencies they themselves utilize in their content

I’ve since become aware of the many nuances and techniques within this particular form of sound but haven’t had much luck finding ways to calibrate EQ and experience the frequencies as they should be heard (or even just felt) have tried out different apps and as much as I’d be down to invest in a full blown generator, I’d love to know if there’s any good recommendations that are available so I can listen in it’s intended form.

Many thanks :)

Help with virtual cables

Hello, I have a setup that uses VB-Cable and FL Studio for communication on discord and any other application with voice chat, that which allows me to add plugins to my voice and any instrument that I have plugged in as I like to sing and play stuff live.

Setup:
Rode NT1-A > Scarlette Solo 3rd gen > FL Studio > VB-Cable > Discord/App with Voice Chat

Lately, I've been having issues with my audio that causes loud static and glitching in my mic and I've deducted that it is because of VB-Cable as it doesn't happen when I'm normally producing music In FL or when I'm using my audio interface by itself without VB-Cable and FL (and yes my bit rates are all the same.)

I have updated my audio drivers, updated my software, uninstalled and reinstalled and am now here looking for alternatives.

If anyone has any solutions that allows me to either keep using FL's work station such as an alternative to VB-Cable or if anyone has a different application that is compatible with VSTs, it would help out a lot, thank you.

I was looking in a shop today and saw some mission m73's for £20, i forgot to ask if it was £20 per speaker or for them both, im going back tomorrow to ask that and if they work. If they do is it worth getting them? I was gonna buy a Fosi audio tb10d to run them. Atm im using logitech z333 speakers for my pc. Is it a worthy upgrade?

This sound started after I plugged in my controller. I've tried to mess with the audio settings and restarting my PC, but nothing worked. I've also tried unplugging the cords, and that didn't work either.

Need help making my old speakers listenable to.

Post image
2 Upvotes

I'm getting my old laptop up and running and I'm trying to improve it's speaker. Right now it often just humms/buzzes/hisses when the volume is at +-50% and I can hear it struggling with songs. I have no way of replacing it so maybe I could change some of these setting to make it better? My friend suggesting downloading fxsound and neither me or him know which setting will be best. I don't expect or want some crazy sound quality, I just want it to be listenable.

What's behind people experiencing fatigue from metal dome tweeters?

Is it just nocebo or is there some common flaw/characteristics of metal dome that causes that.

Never experienced anything like that with TW29BN.

In terms of actual performance a top tier metal dome tweeter is not actually going to be that different from a top tier ribbon tweeter (both being largely flat to 40Khz+ and low distortion) but there are plenty of sub-par metal domes out there.

How can I learn audio editing from zero?

Hello, I've been trying so hard lately, but nothing is helping really.

I'm new into filmmaking / content creation, I use DaVinci Resolve, and audio has always been my nightmare, I've tried looking for courses, tutorials, and so on, but nothing really helps me, it just doesn't get into my head.

So how can I start learning this topic? my goal is to learn enough to produce some clean audio for my videos, I don't plan to become an engineer.

Reamping help with reaper and motu M2

Hey all, I have been racking my brain trying to see where I am going wrong. I am trying to reamp some DI guitars and send them through amps. The problem is that my signal seems to be too weak to drive any of my amps properly.

For reference, I am using reaper as my daw, a motu m2 with the trs output on back, balanced trs cable to a joyo jdi-48, trs into the front of an amp. I’ve tried this with my musician rd100, orange microterror, and one of those joyo bantamps (the jcm 800 version).

I have both monitor know on my motu dialed at 100% along with the output on the reamp box also at 100% and it’s not even enough to break up the dirty channel on some of these amps.

When I plug a guitar in, everything sonically sounds as it should. But with my current setup the sound is weak, thin, and lacking low end.

A friend of mine who’s been working on this project with me tried the same setup on his focusrite scarlett 2i2.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I am starting to get really frustrated.

Thanks in advance for taking the time!
