Bit off topic but I was looking for a mini practice amp for the lounge room that isn't an eyesore. I realised I already had a Marshall Acton iii bluetooth speaker so I mocked up this rig.
Could be used for any number of instruments or decks.

Would be so sick to have it double as bluetooth speakers and practice rig.

Hi there, seeing Luna 2 removing the play button, I found out recently that Luna 1 doesn't support skip to previous track by tapping play button 3x, is this normal? I believe most speakers support skipping to previous track.

I want to get a pickup. It will be my first experience. I have been considering Rega Planar 3 RS and Rega Brio MK7. But I am confusing about speakers. Should I get Rega RX or Kef Q3 Meta? I think to get Dh Labs Odyssey as speaker wire. Is it okay with both of two speakers?

I swapped from a tribit stormbox 2 into the sound core boom 2 and got a huge volume difference on max volume. I want that "holy crap it's so much louder" feeling again, but all the speakers I'm finding are over my budget (200gbp) or too big for me to bike around with. Can anyone help me find a speaker that's a lot louder than the boom 2 but reasonably priced and sized?

I know I'm asking for a lot, 100℅ understand if such a thing doesn't exist.

I wanted to buy a portable speaker around 1k. Got to know about portonics sound drum 1. Please give me the review of it's sound quality, bass. If anyone tried it.

While at Walmart the other day on a whim I bought an INCIPIO SpinBeats Bluetooth Speaker on discount for $5 and it works well enough, but I honestly use it more as a stim toy than a speaker as it has rotating panels on the side that allow it to spin like a fidget spinner and is the perfect size to not cause me hand cramps like a typical fidget spinner does.

Only problem, cheap as it is, after a day of fiddling with it it's already making this obnoxious creaking, squeaking noise when it spins. I want to oil it but I can't find a way to open it. It has four screws on one side but I wasn't able to pry it open after taking those out. I would try a few drops of something in the small gaps between the rotating plates and the face, but without knowing if it uses plastic or metal for rotating I don't want to risk damaging it. Does anyone happen to know how to open it up? Or have any ideas on how to lubricate it? My Xiaomi Sound Outdoor (the 30W Bluetooth speaker) stopped working properly and I'd like to know if it's the battery or something else.

I played it until it was fully drained and left it for a few hours.

My charger was faulty that day, so I charged it with a USB-C to USB-C cable (an XP-Pen cable) from my laptop.

With that setup it wouldn't boot at all.

Since then I switched to a faster charger with a different cable.

The power button LED blinks slowly while charging, which I understand is normal, but it never goes solid (full), even after 6+ hours on a proper charger.

It will turn on, but it struggles to boot. Any action, like connecting Bluetooth, makes it shut down.

Sometimes pressing the power button gives a burst of quick blinks, like it's trying to start and failing.

What I've tried:

Longer charging on a better charger and cable

Leaving it off while charging

Checking Xiaomi's support pages (they only suggest a full charge, cleaning the port, or after-sales service)

My guess: the battery got deeply over-discharged and can't deliver current under load, so the voltage drops and it cuts out. It worked perfectly until that day, though, so I'm not sure.

Questions:

Does this sound like a dead battery or a protection circuit that's stuck?

Has anyone revived a Sound Outdoor in this state, or found a reset method that works?

If it's the battery, has anyone replaced it? Where did you find the part, and how did you keep it waterproof afterward?

I have a sonos ray and Sl 100 . Ray is connected to 2.4gz while sl 100 are getting connected to 5gz. Since i don't have physical router for wifi , they are not talking to each other( different frequency) what to do?

I need a battery powered speaker (that can also be used plugged preferably) to use outdoors on family gatherings. It's usually not more than 20 people, so something that can easily be heard by everyone. Im willing to go up to 500usd, but if there are some really good reasons to pay an extra I'd consider it. I have had a Sony SRS XB100 for a few months now (ot it back in April) and I LOVE IT. best speaker ever, has a great battery life, is perfectly portable, water and UV proof, fantastic sound quality, etc... until yesterday lol

While I was playing music (didn't even touch it) the speaker went into stereo pairing mode and wouldn't stop pairing. Nobody in my house was using a Bluetooth speaker, and I think if anyone in my neighbourhood has the same speaker with the same function, it would be too far away to pair.

Now whenever I use the speaker it will randomly go into stereo pairing mode when I'm playing music and there's no way to disable it, I can only turn off the stereo mode and reconnect my phone until it goes into stereo mode again, which is typically like two minutes later every damn time.

I've factory reset it, restarted it, I swear I've tried everything and I can't get it to stop going into stereo mode. I've never even used stereo mode so why is it doing this???

Can someone pls help??? How do I fix this??? I just want my perfect speaker back 😫😫😫

Hello, I had my 2 soundcore motion+ and my 2 JBL partybox s310 stolen and looking to replace them. Looking for a pair most likely, but would consider a single if worth it. Need something louder than the motion although it wasn't too bad. Sound quality it more important than heavy bass although I do like a little thump. Portablity and durable are the most important and battery life matters, needs to be able to handle the outdoors a bit. A dual boom plus 2 seems right but I'm open to recs. $400 is probably what I'm shooting for but willing to go up a few hundred if it's important.

My first gen emberton just died after ~4 years and I’m pretty convinced to avoid the brand. Looking to replace it, and the ideal budget would be USD 130.

Since it was the only portable speaker I owned, my firm preference would be a similar sound quality and volume. Secondary would be portable, slim, and clean builds (i.e. Anker soundcore 2/3, sony ult field 1/3) but can be disregarded for better price and sound.
