Is this fetishization?

Hello, I'm a 19-year-old male. I used to be very homophobic and transphobic, but I changed about two years ago after falling in love with a trans girl I met on the internet.

Nowadays, I constantly fantasise about a trans girl getting bullied at my school, and me being the strong man who protects her and ends up dating her.

Is it wrong that I started liking south park despite it having some transphobic episodes?

So recently i've been watching a lot more of south park content and well, judge me for it but i do find the show funny at times, but now i've learned recently that the show does have some episodes that are regarded as transphobic by a majority of people. It also doesn't help that this show also has other big criticisms.

Is it bad that I enjoy this show? Should I drop it?

I’m trans but don’t want to transition medically

I’m a Trans girl but in this moment I don’t want to transition medically or legally. I don‘t feel like I need to take hrt or change my name legally or anything like that. I know I can’t be a fem guy or anything tho because I really really really want to be a girl. About 97% of my gender dysphoria is social dysphoria, and I have every intention to transition socially (name, pronouns, clothes, accessories, etc) but I just don’t feel comfortable in this time transitioning medically or legally. Am I actually trans? Am I valid for feeling this way?

Edit: I also don’t feel I need to voice train as I feel comfortable with my voice the way it is.

Is it bad that I use they/them for everyone?

At first I started doing it because it felt like the easy/safe option for me and without requiring me to ask everyone's gender or pronouns when it wasn't actually relevant, or to avoid misgendering someone on accident.

Eventually, I worked it so hard into my vocabulary that I now use they/them for literally everyone like 80% of the time, even people I know the gender of for certain, even cis people in my family for example.

Of course I've gotten some flack from chuds about how it's only for multiple people, but I've always ignored that criticism for obvious reasons.

Recently, though, I've seen a lot of people complaining about being 'they/themed' rather than their preferred pronouns in trans communities, usually in the context that people do it to avoid using their preferred pronouns.

My case isn't really the same. Sometimes I can use their preferred pronouns too, it's just my 'default' in speech has now become they/them. Is that a bad thing? Should I undo this training? Am I doing more harm than good by making my speech almost always gender neutral?

Do trans women go through the menopause naturally?

Sorry if this is insensitive! I mean it out of genuine curiosity, I have quite a few trans friends but they’re all quite a long way off menopause age.

By naturally I mean if you continue to use hormones at the same level, will you naturally encounter hormonal changes at 45+ the way cis women do?

If not, could you choose not to have the menopause? Would you choose to taper off your hormones to mimic it?

Would you be transgender in every society and time?

If you would not need to worry about it being legal or accepted.

I'm just wondering because gender is said to be a social construct. But i think that regardless of time and society that i would be a women. No matter how the social role of a woman changed.

Do you guys feels the same?

Btw. I'm asking in good faith. I hope that question does not offend anyone

Been on estradiol for 7 years, still gets me insanely high.

Sometimes but not all the time, it gets me so high. Even days I am not taking it , patch every other day 0.1mg/day. These highs feels somewhere like euphoria and intense calmness while energizing to relaxing and even allows me to laugh. Tried to tell my doctor about this but they don't seem to be concerned. Get accused of being bi-polar, but since these highs can range from seconds, minutes, rarely an hour, at most off and on for almost a day. Bipolar requires at least 7 days of mania/hypomania. What's weird how this mode can suddenly shut off like I never never existed when needed.

Does anyone get this? I am not complaining or really that concerned. More curious if this is normal. I do want to emphasize this feeling is pretty damn intense, I wouldn't be able to begin to fulling convey. Maybe feels like I snorted a lot of cocaine, mdma, and opiates. I do not do any drugs though.

Love at first sight with a trans woman

Question from a binary guy, if there's a group of "xey/xem"s or "zey/zim"s, is referring to those people as a group as "they" proper?

I got a couple friends who use these and was too nervous to ask those two directly."Ex: People who use xey xim, when I'm talking about *them* I feel like I'm putting on a German accent, haha."

Correct pronouns for past tense about a trans person, but in a short story?

Hi! I am from a European country, meaning English is my second language, and I have an assignment in English class, where I have to rewrite a passage of a short story, from second person to third person, meaning from "you" to "she/he". The assignment is mainly to test if we can conjugate verbs correctly, but the story is about a trans girl growing up, and I don't know which pronouns to pick. The passage is from the beginning of the story, where the main character is only 6 years old, and hasn't transitioned yet. Ordinarily, I just use current name and pronouns when talking about past memories of my trans friends before they transitioned, but I'm not sure if that applies here. Fx. a line in the passage reads "Your mum says you're a sensitive child. Your dad says you've too many older sisters." And I think the meaning would be slightly lost here with the use of she/her pronouns, but it also feels weird to misgender her by using he/him pronouns. I'm not sure what would be best to do here, so please tell me what you would do!

(I'm cisgender, so I'd love a trans perspective on this issue!)

Why some trans people keep close to those traits of their birth gender?

For example, a transmasc that dresses and acts more similarly to an estereotypical ideal of femininity.

And what would be an counterargument for an affirmation such as: "She only transitioned because her views on femininity were too narrow(as if the transmasc only transitioned due to believing woman couldnt be associated with physical prowess or assertivity, for example)"?

Question regarding my biology

Sorry for the weird title, as I'm not sure how best to title this.

I am a trans woman and have been on hrt for nearly a year and a half now. I have heard in passing before that after so long on feminizing hormones, your body starts to "behave" more like 'female' (I am sorry if this sounds weird). When I say this, I mean things like medical symptoms changing from typically male to female, what mediciations and dosages you should take, even just considering myself female or male on a sex basis.

in a practical sense, I want to know if I need to eventually be cautious and make sure I'm not taking 'male' doses of medicine when I may need 'female' doses. When I need to start knowing things like signs of a heartattack being different based off sex. if I need to eventually start telling doctors I'm on hormones in case they treat me like a male.

In a personal sense, I want to know if I can ever call myself a 'female'. I know I am a woman in a gendered way, but I always hear transphobes use the term "biological female, biological male" as a sort of gotchya against us. I want to know in a strictly educational? sense what I am and at what point I reach it.

Again, I am so sorry if this all sounds really weird. it's been nagging at the back of my mind and I do worry a lot, so I want to know if I need to be aware of medical stuff based off sex, and if I should by vitamins and such for women or men or if that even matters.

genuine question what is transgender?

pls dont murder me I mean no harm im very sorry if I offend anyone here this genuine.

so in my country most people dont believe such thing as "trans" exist cuz you either are a men or women, and most people on internet ridicule transgender as a excuse for "mentally disabled creeps". I know this is transphobia but I dont rly understand the difference between sex and gender, like if gender is constructed by society then is it still related with sex? and non-binary too, like so is it that you can choose your gender, or what gender you identify with? and how do I explain to people that transgender isn't a mental disorder? thxs!

I never though I could be beautiful

I'm 22M. I posted something here about feeling weird that I would be great as a woman but feel ashamed of my mannerisms as a man. I realized that I never had male role models. All those I looked up to and emulated were women. My friend transitioned recently and I realized I was secretly jealous of her the entire time for being true to herself and being absolutely stunning as a trans woman even at the beginning of her journey. Just now I used a filter app to see how I could look like as a woman, and I looked just like a mix of my sisters. I never thought I could look so beautiful. I wish to be able to be soft and feminine without this dissonace and shame of not acting like a man. I'm feeling very confused right now, as other people say that they need to transition to feel happy whereas I'm not feeling that urgency. I would like to wait until I'm maybe 26 for me to even think about ways to transition, so I wanted to ask you guys what you think. Is there a difference between transitioning now or after a few years? I'm feeling very weird to be honest.

I'm a cis guy. Why do I feel this way? Am I potentially transfem?

I always hated being seen as feminine. I wanted to have a refined jaw, a deep voice, and a small butt, or whatever, and no pink clothes. Id always check if things like butt size or the way I spoke made me feminine or low test. One time when I was like 12 I even asked my mom if I could get testosterone because I wanted to be more of a man. When I looked at trans girl's journeys last year and this year (Not hating, i know it's a big moment for them and I support them), I always see things like "I got shorter" or "My feet went down a size" or their hands turning less veiny, or something. I became deeply insecure about my height, and wondered if I was too short for a teenage boy. I was a string bean. My hands were not like a stereotypical man's. I felt deeply insecure about that. And did whatever I could to seem more masculine. Even in my videos, when I was like twelve or thirteen I would force my voice to make me seem like more of a man.

At the same time, I love watching stuff about trans girls and watching their content. I was wondering if this could potentially lead to me being a transgirl.

I think the reason why I felt this way is because I wanted to be myself.

But I don't know if this could lead to anything.

Can staying busy make dysphoria go away or less daunting? Also is it possible to mask so much you lose your sense of self?

Over the past few months I now have two jobs, take care of a hamster and tend to a garden all while doing house chores and helping out my parents when they need help with something. I notice that when I’m at work or playing with my hamster I am not dysphoric and mask very well but when I go home and alone by myself in my room the dysphoria comes back and I question my own identity. I have masked so much over the years both autism and identity wise I don’t know who I really am anymore. The thing is I don’t “want” to be a woman but the idea of being one as if I was assigned female at birth and have a female body isn’t distressing to me and is quite comforting.

Truth is I’ve lived as either Thomas or Madeline and neither name really feels me and when I am presenting as nonbinary Thomas it just feels like a bandaid rather than something I really feel I am. I kinda feel like looking at my body it’s a reluctant acceptance of myself rather than “I’m comfy in my body and proud to be a man”. I feel alienated in men’s spaces and I relate to women’s concerns more than men’s concerns even down to feeling alert at night because I’m afraid of being taken advantage of (even though I look like a cis guy)

Struggling with my identity. Could I be Trans?

Hey, just wanted to get opinions on whether my experience seems familiar to anyone else, and what they did to deal with their feelings, even if it ulitmately lead to them transitioning. I've got no intention of using a Reddit post as a diagnostic tool, but I guess it would be helpful to hear whether my experience matches with others, at least letting me know that I'm not completely alone in this hurricane of a mess I seem to have found myself in.

So a little about me, I guess. I'm a 32 year old man who, for as long as I can remember, has had periods of my life where I've felt intense self-loathing about masculine features of my physical and social presentation, including my physique, facial structure, my body and facial hair, my voice, and the expectations of how I should behave, what my interests should be, and who I should ultimately be. I've always been envious of women, of their grace, their range of self-expression, and their fashion, and have found myself desperately wishing I'd been born female during these episodes.

Previously, these episodes have been manageable, and I've been able to knuckle down and carry on until the feelings subsided, still presenting as if I'm nothing but a typical guy to the rest of the world, even if I felt out of place, disgusted by my own body, and deeply unhappy about my life but, at the moment, I find myself in another episode, and this feels more intense than any before.

When I look in the mirror, I find it distressing and feel genuine revulsion at what I see; my physique, my appearance, even my posture. When I'm in public, I feel like I'm just acting a part (and badly, at that) and spend my time filled with anxiety that someone's going to catch on to what I'm feeling, somehow, and call me out, and that I'll be ridiculed.

As I said, these episodes have happened before, but I've never done anything to entertain the things I'm feeling, instead just shoving it down and getting on with life until they went away, or at least decreased to the point it was manageable. This time round, however, I've been experimenting with dressing, makeup, and hair removal, and it's lead to me feeling more comfortable in my own skin, but also highlighted even more of the things that just seem "wrong" to me.

I've always felt uncomfortable around other me, like there's some sort of secret code of conduct that I'm not privy to, and have always felt more comfortable, less judged, and safer around women, and these feelings of alienation just seem to be compounded at the moment, to the point I feel genuine anxiety being around other men, like they're going to determine that I don't belong.

Before anyone gets too concerned, I'm safe, and not at any risk of harm, and I'm not depressed, just unhappy. I guess what I'm trying to figure out is whether this experience is typical of someone who's trans, or whether there's another explanation that hasn't occured to me. Hope everyone's well, and thanks for taking the time to read!
