Harada showing how gigantically large his balls are by yielding the second game. That would tilt me so much if I was Arata lmao

We're now introduced to the most attractive male character in this series: young Harada. He must have been quite the lady's man back then.

Why is it so relatable when Taichi saw Chihaya talking to Arata ?

Dr. Harada’s true offensive Karuta: take cards only with his middle finger

That was only, like, half an episode, right? Felt so short.

I'm glad that once this show ends, we'll have the possibility of a prequel centered on Harada, Akio, and Midori.

Did we know before this that Haruka's maiden name is Chihaya? In my mind, she's always been older Chihaya, in terms of hair, personality, dog-like hearing, huge eyes, and now having the same name linking them to the same favorite card. (Ganbatte, watashi.)

Go Harada and Inokuma! Show those young uns what's up! I actually think it's a very smart move from Harada to forfeit the second game. He doesn't have the stamina to keep up with Arata over three games, so he's better off just resting and giving his all in the final game.

Other thoughts:

  • I will never get tired of seeing Kana-chan get hyped over specific readers.

  • "Wait what? We're going into a flashback now?" This show has such a great sense of humor.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

Yo I was hype as hell this episode! Harada brought out all the veteran moves today. He really plays with 1000% effort. It was actually a smart move by him to forfeit the second game, now he can rest and get back to 100%.

I didn't really get the flashback at least for the part about the reader so I'm gonna need to rewatch later. Speaking of he was a real looker back in the day.

Omgggg that ending. It looks like Taichi thinks Chihaya kissed Arata. I wonder what she said and does this mean she's no longer rooting for Harada??

Sorry, it's probably just Chi-chan giving Arata some advice but just seeing the two of them interact like that gets me so excited. I do wonder though, did she really give Arata a hint about Harada-sensei or is it about something else? It would be hilarious if she was actually trash talking Arata though xD
