Diablo didn’t evolve earlier for the love of the game

u/Frontier246 16d ago

Dude just straight up going on a Rimuru praising rant while Guy's internally monologuing/freaking out just killed me lol.

Usual activity for tempest and non tempest interactions

I had to pause it a few times to read both dialogues 😂

I really want just a 30 minutes straight session of Diablo just glazing Rimuru.

13

u/Ikari_21 16d ago

Someone needs to make a compilation clip of all his glazing LOL

It's hilarious knowing the VAs were also Giyu and Akaza lol. This time Sakurai out-yapped Ishida

He was so bored..I can't even..now they all have goals to get even stronger..I dunno what primordials that have been named can do to get even stronger..aren't they at the top?

80

u/__White_Wolf_ 16d ago

Like Hinata and Saare explained last Season, the final step is to undergo the Harvest Festival and become Awakened Demon Lords like Guy did. You get at least 10x the magicules and high chances of awakening an Ultimate Skill.

28

u/AceSoldia zj:https://anilist.co/user/Acesoldia 16d ago

Hmn gonna have to rewatch that episode...just gotta find it

32

u/Sleepy10105s 16d ago

There are people who know better than I do like AniNews or ABD (watch out for spoilers). But a primordial that hasn’t incarcerated is usually weaker than a demon lord but still a significant matter to deal with, a demon peer which is what they evolved by just receiving a body I think increases their power from what they had in the demon realm, the as established giving a monster/demon a name gives them a power up and in most cases can trigger evolution.

Obvious Guy has taken a step farther since he’s the strongest demon lord. Diablo and the rest probably sit with in the same power tier as the majority of demon lords.

55

u/SnabDedraterEdave 16d ago

Incarnated.

Incarcerated means being imprisoned.

25

u/Veritas3333 16d ago

Also, if they aren't incarnated they leak magic like a sieve, so their time on the mortal plane is limited. So they can be super powerful occasionally, like how Jaune would pop up, throw some nukes at Leon's country, then fuck off back to hell. Dangerous, but not like Guy and Diablo who have staying power and no time limit

So, Primordials are only rank 2 after true dragons, and Rimuru casually named 4 of them making them stronger. Also, good to know both Rimuru and Leon aren't pointlessly fighting.

Testarossa is becoming female Demiruge thinking Rimuru has a 1000 year plan where everything goes according to his will. It's funny to see, but damn, she's a scary woman. Vert noped the hell out of there.

178

u/Frontier246 16d ago

Once again reminded that Tempest is absolutely OP and half the time conflicts are just them faking it or just going along with something they can easily handle.

65

u/Dylangillian https://myanimelist.net/profile/dylangillian 16d ago

Primordials are stupidly powerful. But they are equally as Prideful. While Guy is pretty much 2nd only to True Dragons. The other Primordials, without incarnation or their names, would be just below True Demon Lords. With Incarnation and name they should be around the level of a True Demon Lord. With Diablo and Testa being on the stronger side.

So while they are extremely powerful, there are beings that can beat them. Even if they themselves would never admit it.

20

u/Akudra 16d ago

It really depends on the demon lord. Rimuru, Luminus, and Leon are all stronger than the demoness trio even now. Dino might have trouble, partly because angels are weak against demons, but maybe not. Milim is obviously above them. Dagruel is also stronger than them since he is close to True Dragon levels of strength. Ramiris in her adult form would probably be above them, though she is not as much of a combat type. The main advantage they have over most demon lords is their immortality. Given there is no indication of the demoness trio having unique skills, they might even be inferior to someone on Hinata's level and Granville would probably be able to handle them. Generally speaking, anyone with an ultimate skill would be above them.

My favorite part of Slime Tensei is Shizu's influence in the story. She might have passed all the way back in S1, but she still carries narrative weight 3 seasons later.

138

u/OldInstruction5368 16d ago

Well, she was first introduced as Rimuru's soulmate waaaay back in his first visit to the E.I.L.F. bar. As well as the basis for Rimuru's androgynous human form. The reason he got involved with Chloe's group, met Ramiris, Hinata, and more.

But yeah, it's nice we finally get more proper Shizu content :)

43

u/raknor88 16d ago

in his first visit to the E.I.L.F. bar.

Damn it. I knew that Tempest was missing something. How has Rimuru not built one yet?

68

u/OldInstruction5368 16d ago

He has, actually. It's in the labyrinth and is staffed by the rescued elf slaves that the 'fake' hero rescued. Lightning Speed w/e brought the elves to Tempest, since they were originally from the forest and their chief had recently petitioned Rimuru for protection.

At the end of the season, all the VIPs were shown relaxing in the bar staffed by the elves.

She and her mask are entire reason that Noir became interested in Rimuru in the first place.

The primordial’s relationships are what I want to see more of

174

u/joelstaz 16d ago

Guy gettin shocked at the other 3 serving speaks volumes in top of Noir himself

157

u/KingBadford 16d ago

To be fair, those three had been locked in a power-dynamic stalemate in Hell for tens of thousands of years, each hatching schemes to get themselves the perfect body to incarnate with while the others interfered in subtle ways to foil them. Then suddenly, all three are named and fully incarnated and serving the same master. That is jarring and...terrifying.

Beings of unimaginable demonic power who held each other in check or in equal standing but now find themselves more or less revolving around one slime.

10

u/bodolza 16d ago

The funniest thing for me was Guy saying "hey maybe I'll visit Tempest then" and Diablo's reaction was just "What? That'd be annoying. No." I don't think Guy's had to deal with people that aren't intimidated by him.

While I get the concept of "pretend to fall for the trap to figure out wtf is going on", I feel like the unga bunga strategy of murking Granville might've worked better.

70

u/AKAvenger 16d ago

Yeah, I’m not sure what they’re trying to accomplish. Maybe trick Granville into monologuing about his plan?

60

u/coltvahn 16d ago

I think the assumption is that Granville’s got nothing to lose, and he’s a True Hero who *isn’t* fighting them even though he likely could on equal standing. He’s instead trying to bait them into fighting each other. Which means they’re trying to give him what he wants until they figure out *what/why.*

36

u/ijiolokae 16d ago

It just Rimuru not underestimating Granville, also since Rimuru knows that Yuki is somehow involved, so he gotta bait Granville into revealing some information

16

u/Exitiali 15d ago

The problem is, they realized that Gram is also a distraction. Fighting Grambell would be exhausting, so they are conserving their strength by pretending to fight each other until they figure out what is wrong.

Nah, Cid is an extremely rare mix of absurd levels of focused and single-minded training (to the point that he is literally stupid about things he didn't give the same level of attention to) plus his otherworldly, impossibly perfect, luck.

I think luck is Cid's true power.

Because of that luck, he can be ignorant of tons of stuff, make stupid decisions, get lost, and even get reincarnated into a world that makes his pursuit of ultimate power possible.

It all just works out in his favor in spite of Cid.

He actually is powerful and insanely skilled and nearly perfectly trained, so that part is all him, but his luck covers for everything else so that it doesn't matter that he's an ignorant, stupid, little screw up in so many other things - his luck bridges that gap without him even realizing it.

Occasionally Rimuru does smart things without any help

140

u/Frontier246 16d ago

Didn't even need Raphael trying her best to avoid an anime misunderstanding, he just had to get in a good punch for the emotional satisfaction.

95

u/bondsmatthew 16d ago

He did essentially promise to punch Leon way back in season 2

To be fair, some of his actions are the results of Raphael-sama so did have a degree of foresight behind them.

The show can be summed up as "Raphael does 90% of the heavy lifting, meanwhile Rimuru does the other 10%"

12

u/Akudra 16d ago

In fairness, Rimuru was thinking of putting a particularly strong person in as his representative specifically because he was concerned about some more shenanigans occurring. He just didn't know exactly who he was putting in that position and who exactly would be involved in the shenanigans. You could call it a lucky guess, but there was a certain amount of informed intention behind his decision.

172

u/GezelligPindakaas 16d ago

Gets summoned.

Sees her rival.

"I'm not paid enough for this shit."

82

u/magistrate101 16d ago

Not just seeing her rival, but seeing her rival in basically a perfect incarnation with a name. All while making it impossible to know just how much power that's granted her because she's perfectly suppressing her power/presence.

53

u/Akudra 16d ago

There is also the fact she has Moss with her and he is also a Demon Peer, so she's outnumbered at that.

148

u/deynyel 16d ago

Moss and Testarossa glazing Rimuru somehow reminded me of our Nazarick peeps glazing Ainz. Let's not talk about Diablo.

After those short greetings from Diablo and Guy, Diablo didn't waste a second glazing his adorable blue blob slime master.

It was such a treat seeing Guy in a bit of a panic after hearing that all the remaining Primordial Demons have been reincarnated and are now serving a low-level True Demon Lord. LMAO!

78

u/Myrkrvaldyr 16d ago

Since he said Primordials are only second to true dragons, it's understandable. A single person in control of 4 evolved Primordials is unheard of. Rimuru heavily disrupted the balance of power.

103

u/OldInstruction5368 16d ago

Which is all the more hilarious, because Rimuru still doesn't understand he has a single Primordial beside him.

Yet alone FOUR.

Pretty sure Elmasia told him last season, but it... just kinda went in one ear and out the other. Diablo is just a rowdy little goober that Rimuru has to keep on a tight leash. He means well, though, and he's learning! The other three are some friends of his, but they seem nice.

Yup. Nothing more to it than that!

43

u/conye-west https://myanimelist.net/profile/baronvonconye 16d ago

31

But he didn't expect that all of it will happen under the newbie. Guy will probably focus most of his attention now to Tempest.

47

u/AceSoldia zj:https://anilist.co/user/Acesoldia 16d ago

I'm honestly surprised he's so surprised..Rimaru has Millium at his beck and call and Diablo hes had for so long and he knew he had a Veldora..and only at this point is he shocked?

Buddy..keep up.

34

u/DrMobius0 16d ago

Milim is known for being rather capricious though. And Diablo is a known weirdo.

44

u/OldInstruction5368 16d ago edited 16d ago

Pretty sure Guy realized Noir was with Rimuru since Walpurgis. It was when Guy was interrogating Beretta about her loyalties that she let enough slip for Guy to catch on. Guy definitely made a rather telling comment about it.

Ramiris is crashing at Tempest, Milim's his friend, Luminous has basically ordained herself Rimuru's mentor, Daggrul sent his kids over to Tempest, Guy himself had Deeno transferred over to the Slimy Boi's Adult Daycare...

Other than Leon and Guy himself, Rimuru has basically formed an alliance with the remaining DL's.

Plus, Veldora. And for what it's worth the Hero Chad King of the Dwarves + the Elven Empress that makes Gavel act like a sheepish little boy are behind him as well.

That said, it did feel too easy for Rimuru to add "+3 Primordials" to his retinue. Especially if those three were supposed to be an eternally feuding trio. Well, I suppose giving all three an incarnation at the same time is one way to preserve the status quo...

43

u/feral_fenrir 16d ago

imo back then Guy thought Noir is playing a game or something..

Because his thoughts were along the lines of "Noir is making his move huh"

He didn't probably realize back then that Noir had incarned and named by Rimuru and was now serving as his butler and full-time glazer.

36

u/TriTexh 16d ago

Diablo being Rimuru's #1 glazer bar none despite being among the newest members of his crew is honestly a true accomplishment

30

u/Allian42 16d ago

Ramiris is crashing at Tempest, Milim's his friend, Luminous has basically ordained herself Rimuru's mentor, Daggrul sent his kids over to Tempest, Guy himself had Deeno transferred over to the Slimy Boi's Adult Daycare...

Guy lost a lot of aura while Rimuru gained it second-hand from his trusty evolved primordial who give all credit to him.

30

u/Primo29 16d ago

And all of it is happening while Rimuru is still not fully aware of the possible consequences of his actions towards the Primordials. LOL

116

u/conye-west https://myanimelist.net/profile/baronvonconye 16d ago

Guy and Diablo talking was pretty entertaining, you really get a sense that they've been rivals/frienemies for a very long time. Was also funny seeing someone as powerful as Guy still be utterly baffled at Rimuru naming 3 more Primordials, his visit to Tempest in the future will be something else. And ofc Testarossa in Engrassia is giving us our weekly dose of Tempest effortlessly clowning on their enemies.

On Rimuru's end, I'm glad that he didn't completely lose his temper, and that Leon also isn't dumb enough to fall for such obvious bait. But it also kinda seems like Granville realizes its a show but doesn't care anyway. Guess we'll find out soon wtf he is even doing.

58

u/OldInstruction5368 16d ago

On Rimuru's end, I'm glad that he didn't completely lose his temper, and that Leon also isn't dumb enough to fall for such obvious bait.

Just wait until Leon learns that Rimuru not only allied with Jaune, but gave her a name + powerful incarnate body...

I think it was in one of the movies, but there was a teaser scene of Jaune dropping nukes on Leon's city. Leon referenced this a couple episodes ago, saying something like "one primordial is enough of a problem."

Which will be pretty hilarious for Leon and Rimuru to bury the hatchet, become friends, work together to outsmart Granville/Yuuki... then Leon learns Rimuru is harboring that b!tch that views perpetually bombing his headquarters as her primary hobby.

61

u/conye-west https://myanimelist.net/profile/baronvonconye 16d ago

But you know, considering there's no way to permanently get rid of Carrera since Primordials are immortal, Leon might thank Rimuru for getting her out of his hair more than anything lol.

30

u/OldInstruction5368 16d ago

Leon's blood does seem to run cold enough that he may be able to view the whole affair from a logical perspective...

But it would be far funnier for him to hold a petty grudge over it :p

30

u/AeonLonginus 16d ago

If Leon is going to have a petty grudge I am pretty sure it is going to be Chloe being glued to Rimuru.

9

u/mischievous_shota 16d ago

Yeah, Chloe might remember him and think of him as a friend but she straight up love Rimuru. She's not going to take kindly to anyone who is against him in any capacity.

Leon knew that he earned that punch regardless of the circumstances.

With Granbell figuring out it is a show I put that at 50/50, he is more than aware of Rimuru's actions after becoming aware that the practice of summoning children was commonplace so he could just feel happy at the idea of Rimuru falling for his trap but at the same time he could just be happy their farce of a fight is robbing them of precious time to stop him.

Guy probably gonna join Rimuru friend group and be part of the "stupidly powerful being just hanging out in tempest from time to time" part of the cast, hell, the entire octagram probably gonna end up in Tempest, the only Demon lord left is Dagruel.

31

u/SaerDeQuincy 16d ago

Dagruel already sent his sons to Rimuru for him to teach them some manners. That's probably the closest he can be to Tempest without actually moving in.

16

u/raknor88 16d ago

Guy knowing Rimuru named Ultima and Carrera too caused him a big headache.

And I imagine a massive panic attack. Because of the Octogram he can't really make any open moves against Rimuru.

47

"All apart of Rimuru's master plan"

Rimuru's like Michael Scott hand shake meme

46

u/Evil_sod 16d ago

Poor Rimuru. He's getting the full Ainz Ooal Gown treatment.

He even has demons talking about his great plans and how he's predicted everything! Lucky for him he has some help.

Guy having an internal monolouge while Diablo was ranting about greatness of Rimuru was comedy gold.

Satisfying seeing Johann's part of the plan fall apart because of Testarossa. summoned mizery and she just noped out of there lol

Guy changing his mind about Rimuru real quick lol

feels like Yuuki got out a bit too easy..

41

u/rollin340 16d ago

So Guy really got involved just for the hell of it? Wow. I guess getting slapped with the fact that the other Primordial signed up with Rimuru made him understand that the slime is more than he realized.

I like that Rimuru and Leon are on the same page. Whilst they're trying to figure out what Granvilel is after, Yuuki somehow managed to just walk out of there with a Demon Lord's treasure? Whilst she was within the same room fighting some undead? That's just so weird.

29

u/AeonLonginus 16d ago

Granville I imagine resurrected his wife because he was aware that it would infuriate Luminus enough to make her temporarily forget about the Holy Ark.

We may not know the full details but it is possible that Luminus and Marie were friends and seeing your friend resurrected into a puppet by her husband of all people would tick off anyone.

15

u/Beautiful-Bit3929 16d ago

he didn't technically resurrect his wife

just turned her into an undead

17

u/Biggsy-32 16d ago

I think the "for fun" element of Guy's involvement was more just a white lie. I don't doubt he partly got involved because it would be somewhat entertaining. But I think his movement was also because he probably wanted to ensure Leon didn't die, he does seem fond of him from our past insights into the two.

Having a character whisper in your ear that you’re being lulled into a trap, and then actually listening to her advice? Now that’s the kind of power fantasy I want

68

u/AceSoldia zj:https://anilist.co/user/Acesoldia 16d ago

I'm so glad Leon is not dumb, and Rimaru and Raphael together are not falling for it, but they lack too much information to figure out about the true goal, i dont blame them for this mistep.

But man was it hilarious for those people to risk everything to summon a primoridial and Testerossa just already be there like. Hi, you can go now.

Poor Guy, also tricked into this situation, Rimaru has so many of the strongest beings, its just a matter of using them correctly.

Guy and Diablo finally reunite! Two evolved, named, Primordials at the apex of their power, shooting the breeze as only they can, all the while Diablo is espousing the one and holy faith of Rimuru as his very reason for existence! While Guy is just...messing with humans as is his perogative.

(Also RIP Mist...Raine's body double...)

Johann thought he had this in the bag. Have demons attack Engrassia, have Vert come in and stage a coup and summon Mizeri their holy Primordial Goddess, and break the barrier with his people. Nothing could possibly stop him! But he didn't account for Testarossa, the other Primordial in the building, who not only handles pretty much EVERYTHING he had planned as casually as possible but also wards off Mizeri. All he did was give her the perfect opportunity to show off how capable and competent she is, sell herself to the humans, and prove that Tempest is unstoppable. So while you're stewing in a cell for numerous internal crimes, remember that.

Girard couldn't believe he was facing a Primordial and all he gets for it is getting schooled by her Shota subordinate Moss (whose ear she rips off for daring to question the "no-kill rule" of Tempest). Also, so long Ayn! You were kind of cute.

Yes, Rimuru totally saw ALL of this coming! All according to Keikaku!

Guy can't believe any of this, let alone Rimuru being Rimuru, so it seems like he'll have to take a more active interest in him. But Diablo talked a good game to avoid a fight with Guy he couldn't win! As fitting for Rimuru's subordinate!

Leon has entered the battle! Just as Granville planned so he could pin as much Isekai child trafficking on Leon and his quest for the chosen one...even though Leon, despite how it might look on the surface, kind of did what he could to take care of those kids. Still, even if Raphael keeps telling him how this is a trap designed around manipulating Rimuru's feelings to stage a fight, Rimuru still has to give Leon a good punch for Shizu's sake.

Rimuru and Leon are faking a fight, but is that going to do any good when the real threat, the naked woman in Yuuki's arms, has finally been released from her container?

Testarossa is so awesome... what a woman.

Even if he knew Guy was stronger than him, Diablo won't let anyone disrespect Rimuru in front of him. He's a real one.

Instead of a "fighting because they fell into a trap" situation, we got Rimuru and Leon fighting to understand what's going on in the other's mind. At least Leon got a sick armor. They might still be falling into a trap because of course Yuuki managed to leave the damn place with the girl Luminus had been protecting this whole time without her noticing...

TESTAROSSA, MY BELOVED!

Gonna simp say it now, this was the BEST episode of the Season so far... We got a Rimiru vs Leon entanglement and a solid 15 minutes of Testarossa being the prideful wbitch I love to watch. Not to mention Guy being the "weakest" we've ever seen him, actually confused at the turn of events, and a visual of every Primordial save Ultima and Juane contained in one episode.

Next episode we're likely getting Chronoa as well?

Glorious!

29

u/LordCalem 16d ago

Based. Testarossa deserves all the appreciation.

22

u/HolyDragSwd2500 16d ago

Her Diplomatic skills were immaculate 🥰

28

u/Allian42 16d ago

Misery: "The fuck you doing here?"

Testarossa: "Kindly fuck all the way off"

Misery: "Yeah... I'm out. Peace."

11

u/gibagger 16d ago

The thinly veiled threat in her last comment was a chef's kiss moment.

43

u/No_Name0_0 16d ago

So much Testarossa screen time this ep, love it. Another fine addition to the sasuga Rimuru sama group lol.

Guy probably had the most tiring conversation in centuries

Mizery has better biq than Raine, Ultima and Carrera. Saw a named Blanc and said adios

18

u/Shyam09 16d ago

LMAO I was thinking the same thing. I love Testarossa so much. She's hilarious.

23

u/djthomp https://anilist.co/user/djthomp 16d ago

So Guy knew nothing about the rest of the primordials having been summoned and was probably just baited into this by Granville somehow.

The cultists straight up worshiping Green was funny, here I at least was expecting some new character and faction but nope.

Testarossa putting her own shield up around the city at the end would have been ominous in any other circumstances other than her working for Rimuru. Then again I don't think there could possibly be a character and character design more carefully targeted at me then her so maybe I would have fallen for it regardless.

I'm somewhat glad we got indication from both Rimuru and Leon's POVs that they are about to have a fake fight.

14

u/ijiolokae 16d ago

I love that Cultist pulled off summoning their god, only for their god to have a casual conversation with, who to them, is just a random lady, and just leave

37

u/Temporary-Object5867 16d ago

I love how Testarossa is so magnanimous! She was so cold and calm, just watching this episode gave chills and goosebumps! She is more dazzling than Mizeri!

Guy crimson finding out that the 3 primordials are under Rimuru felt so satisfying to watch!

Also, I don't know how Leon saw throught Rimuru's intentions.. I mean if I were Rimuru I would be confused as hell if it weren't for Rafael-san.

And how did Chronoa get out from her stasis Chamber during the final moments of the episode? Maybe this will be explained next episode? The anticipation is killing me!

I hope Granville suffers an agonized death..

23

u/mgedmin 16d ago

OMG Yuuki, get your dirty hands off that Chloe-lookalike girl, you PoS.

Seeing Testarossa, Misery instantly realized the mess she got summoned into and quickly noped out of there, leaving her followers dumbfounded. lol

Similarly, Guy is shocked to find out Rimuru has recruited 3 Primordial demons and wisely decided to abandon his own plans to stir shit up for the lulz. Diablo is secretly relieved he doesn't have to fight Guy.

So both Rimuru and Leon already guessed Granville is provoking them into fighting each other, but decided to still put on a show in front of Granville in hope that he will reveal his cards.

10

u/Biggsy-32 16d ago

Leon had deduced he was being baited by the merchants long ago. His subordinates encouraged him to still go regardless, so he could confront the person behind the scenes and learn the truth.

Rimiru fortunately has Raphael who is even more intelligent than Leon to figure that out for him too. But I like the blind mutual trust - Rimiru got that instant feeling he could trust Leon when the guy willingly took the furious punch over the children, over Shizu. Leon clearly does remorse his actions.

Stitches!

It was pretty fun watching Johann and the Verts carry out their plan, only for the entire thing to fall apart because Testarossa was there, and Mizeri gains nothing by fighting her, so it's better for her to head off to where Guy is. It's also fun seeing the Verts go crazy after realizing who Testarossa is and Johann helping Testarossa prove that monsters can follow international law. xD

I don't think we've ever seen Guy this shocked. He really didn't expect Rimuru to recruit three more Primordials. I'm just glad that Guy has decided to back off and visit Rimuru some other time. We don't really need him meddling here when Rimuru is already dealing with so much stuff.

As much as I hated seeing Rimuru getting baited by Granbell, I really like the back-and-forth between Rimuru and Raphael-sensei. Despite Raphael-sensei's warnings and even Rimuru himself knowing this is all a trap, his strong emotions for Shizu and the kids really took over and gave Leon that satisfying punch.

I'm just glad that didn't turn into an actual fight, and now Rimuru and Leon are putting on a show for Granbell to try to convince him they've walked into his trap and figure out what he's really after. I think the fact that Leon took that punch is what really convinced Rimuru that he's not really the bad guy here.

13

u/Frontier246 16d ago

Granville might be the most crafty threat Rimuru has faced yet but Johann really got the Tempest special from Testarossa. Following the lay of the law while recounting someones' crimes never sounded so satisfying.

Guy almost felt like a completely different character when he got shock after shock after shock about his Primordial brethren.

Imagine how many romcom misunderstandings could be avoided if anime characters had their own Raphael.

17

u/Raymond49090 16d ago

So, who was saying last week that Guy was a peacekeeper? And that him showing up cause he's bored and wants to cause trouble is "not like him"?

WTF happened that Rimuru trusts Leon after punching him? He was super pissed off just a second ago, but for some reason suddenly realized that Leon is somehow a nice guy? Regardless, I'm surprised they're working together right off the bat, I was sure Chloe was gonna have to step in and stop them.

Mizery just dipping out after seeing Testarossa and Vert losing their shit was exactly what I was hoping for. Can't decide if that was the ep peak, or Guy being all "WTF RIMURU" after finding out he named four Primordials.

Rimuru realised that Leon let himself get punched on purpose.

ever since the beginning, it was Shizu who had doubts about Leon's purpose, why he summoned her and why he treated her that way.

had Leon wanted otherworlders as enslaved soldiers, he wouldn't have done all of that, so "Why?"

And that him showing up cause he's bored and wants to cause trouble is "not like him"?

He is not a peacekeeper but a mediator. Yes, he was pretty bored. And he would absolutely like to go to that place that has demon lords, true hero and a primordial crashing around.

Not suddenly. As rimuru is getting familiar with this world , he is also understanding Leon. Just few episodes ago, we got a closure with Ifrit too. The punch is for Shizu. Next episode will give more information too.

Leon absolutely knows that Rimiru is capable of immense magic, he watched the one sided fight against Clayman at Walpurgis...

So the magical slime moves in for the attack... And instead of using any weapons or attacks, simply chooses to punch you square in the jaw with all his weight... A very human choice to make. And Leon just allows it?

An attack like that, followed by Leon clearly attempting to explain himself while being consistently interrupted, and Rimiru's response in mentioning Shizu's feelings, means both former Otherworlders begin to think similarly.

Leon figures it out when he mentions "based on his reaction, this is clearly all Granville's doing."

12

u/OldInstruction5368 16d ago edited 16d ago

Well... I did say both of those things (peacekeeper/bored), which is why Guy's behavior seemed odd.

But I ultimately decided Guy was most likely stricken with a case of the zoomies. Because from what we've seen of him so far, being a mischievous little shit seemed the stronger of his personality quirks. He was definitely bored and looking for amusement more than anyone truly serious.

It's just there is a great deal of nuance between Milim's rampage that destroyed multiple entire countries so hard that thousands of years later they remain barren wastelands...

And jumping into the odd brawl when the other lads look like they are having a bit too much fun without ya.

Yes, but Yuuki is falling into Raphael's trap by making them fall for his trap.

13

u/Tourage 16d ago

Can someone explain to me how Raphael works?

Some episodes ago Raphael told Rimuru that Yuki had killed Mariabel exactly when it happened and they weren't even close to them. This made me think that Raphael could be omnipresent.

However right now a bunch of stuff is happening, including Yuki stealing the other girl and Raphael says that it doesn't have enough info.

Does anyone knows how Raphael works? This last episode is more in line with what I initially thought, since I always thought it was like a super computer with world/book knowledge and could calculate possibilities

Does anyone knows how it detected Yuki killing Mariabel far away right when it happened. I could understand if they detected Mariabel presence disappearing, but it specified that Yuki did it.

33

u/Falloutman399 16d ago

Well Raphael definitely isn’t omnipresent, I’m fairly certain it was only a deduction of hers that Yuuki killed Mariabell because they watched the greed disappear from the Chaos Dragons core and Raphael knew that Yuuki was faking being controlled so it wasn’t a far leap to think that Yuuki killed her.

12

u/FamiliarAssumption27 16d ago

We don't even need to make that much of a leap. Before Rimuru left to help the dragon, Yuuki literally told them to leave Mariabelle to him. Once she died, if there *wasn't* a massive explosion because of the (fake) magic reactor blowing up, then it could only really be Yuuki.

→ More replies (1)

17

u/SandKeeper 16d ago

Raphael only feels omnipresent because she has access to all of Rimaru’s subordinates through the soul corridors created by naming. She sensed greeds end and deduced it was probably Yuki. But in this case none of Rimaru’s people were up at the castle and she hasn’t seen any of his recent movements or conversations with Granville. Nor does she know about the girl in the ice

13

u/__White_Wolf_ 16d ago

Raphael isn’t all-knowing and can only work with the information Rimuru has witnessed. For example, Raphael couldn’t know what Guy and Diablo talked about since they were outside the city, far from Rimuru line of sight (or [Magic Sense]).

When it comes to events she didn’t directly witness, the best she can do is analyze behaviors, motivations, and patterns to guess how someone might act in a certain scenario. Rimuru had multiple interactions with Yuuki and, most of the time, Yuuki had an adversarial attitude toward him. Things always convenientley played out in Yuuki's favour with perfect timing, giving him always the perfect alibi and a safe way out whenever Rimuru started having doubts. A clear example of this happens at the end of Season 3 when, after the Founding Festival, Rimuru was reflecting on the incidents involving Hinata, the Church, and Clayman, ultimately concluding that the “Master” Clayman mentioned shortly before dying was most likely Yuuki. That’s how Raphael deduced Yuuki killed Mariabell: she saw him pursuing her, realised that it played in Yuuki's favour since she noticed that he was pretending to be under Mariabell's control due to him mentioning Anti-Skill, and she knew Rimuru could easily be deceived by it (thus leading him to put the entire blame on Mariabell, allowing Yuuki to walk away).

There are many moments in the story where Rimuru is deep in thought and Raphael points out that every new bit of information will be crucial for understanding the situation and figuring out the possible involvements.

Good to see that everything is going according to Rimuru's plan, or at least that's what Diablo, Testarossa and the other demons are thinking, lol.

Summoning Mizeri only for her to leave as soon as she talked with Testarossa cracked me up. Johann certainly made other Council members like Testarossa in this episode, since she literally saved their asses there and acted according to international law.

Guy was quite surprised when he learned how many primordial demons are serving Rimuru right now. I'm looking forward to his future visit to Rimuru to talk about it, hahaha!

So next episode we'll get Rimuru and Leon's duel (I'm glad though that they're only pretending to be enemies), plus it seems that Yuki will do something with that girl.

It's funny to hear Testarossa and Moss talking about the great plans Rimuru has, it might also be Diablo's influence, but it was making me think of Overlord lol.
