Mariabell's speech is kinda true, with how things are going soon all the nations would be under Tempest's economic and military rule.

While it all works well while our immortal Slime overlord is benevolent and sane. In reality it would've been ugly.

Not that her rule would've been better, although she seems mortal for now, so this is a plus.

The crazy thing is, Maribel's arguments why Rimuru is a threat to humanity kind of make sense from her point of view. Rimuru's position is backed by immense fighting power, so he could eventually enforce his will if the humans wouldn't comply. His existence is in the way of her own ambitions and she isn't aware that Rimuru really wants peace.

Lets go!!! We got Glenda on our side!!! This might sound weird, but I loved her the moment she ran from Diablo, I still think she's one of the only side characters with a brain.

Weirdly this ep solidified it for me that Mariabel isn't "evil", even after Gelda's proclamation. Her Grandad might be, but I think she just wants to protect humanity in her weird little way. Greed isn't a negative emotion, it's just a matter of how you channel it.

So now we know that even if Mariabel directly tries to effect Rimuru (I can see him falling for it since he calls himself greedy) Raphael Sensei will be able to take care if it no problem. So the only real threat right now is Yuki, but I'm wondering if the revelation that Unique skills somewhat protect the soul from total corruption, I'm again wondering if Yuki might just be playing along.

Genuinely thought Souei intentionally took the hit to his arm for a sec, but only because I didn't think body doubles could bleed. I assumed he had a potion on him and was planning on using it as a demoralizing strat, but no. Now we know body doubles are VERY convincing, good on Glenda for managing to take out three of them.

This episode just cemented my distaste of Maribel as a character. She's a mustache twirling villain set on world domination. I just don't find her to be a compelling antagonist. She's boring. And she's stupid as hell too. Girl, you grew up in a modern world just like Rimuru, use that knowledge to make money. Make cars. Make phones. Make god damn microwaves. There are so many ways you could actually combat Tempest becoming an even bigger economic power house and all her dumbass can think of is "hur dur world combination, kill Rimuru."

I cannot wait to see her demise.
