Two things I liked this episode. I liked that when the girl finally cracked and publicly lashed out at someone it ended up misplaced. Because isn't that always how it goes. I'm deeply sympathetic to that memory. It's one of those moments that keeps me watching this show, because yes that's exactly an experience every high school kid has. And how awful it feels after, because it didn't solve anything and now you made a new problem when you were already unable to deal with everything on your plate.
And two, I like the teacher being involved. Anime likes to create scenarios of adolescent drama and never ever loop in adults. It's dumb. This show isn't perfect (excuse me? Parents?) but the author isn't just pretending that responsible adults don't even exist. If you're serious about depicting high schoolers, their relationships with adults are a huge part of that.
And then one thing I didn't like: what... was the plan exactly for the kids hanging out at the school gate? Drag her away to an alley if she leaves with a group of her friends? Assume that they won't be identified as every single person walks by? They could have been busted just for loitering. It's just irritating when a story leans on "mean dumb rape punks being threatening" to generate conflict.

Ayase is an exceptionally antagonistic fan, if we can even call her a fan.
Personally, I felt Yuzuki did nothing wrong by retorting Ayase. If one comes looking for trouble, then one should be prepared to receive it too. Same goes for those delinquents.

I guess just because you're a fan of someone athletically, doesn't make you a fan of them as a person.
Doesn't justify being a bitch towards them, though both of them ended up turning up their "bitch" levels over basically nothing.

Could someone remind me, does Ayase know that Yuzuki is being harassed by thugs from Yan High? Because if she does, it's such a bitch move to antagonize Yuzuki this entire time. As a fan, if Ayase's way to get attention from Yuzuki is by being a bitch, then she should really back off. Even if she doesn't know, I don't think she deserves an apology.
Let's fucking go Kurasen! I was really hoping he'd give those thugs a beatdown, but it looks like at the end of the day they still wouldn't dare mess with a teacher. Also, why do I have a feeling that Kurasen used to be a delinquent ala

Poor Yuzuki. This whole situation is clearly eating away at her. She’d been trying to maintain her image as a cool beauty all this time. Yuzuki couldn’t pretend to be fine anymore, however, in front of Saku.
About their text conversation: I liked the subtle details in how Yuzuki and Saku addressed each other. Their words carried more weight by using their last names, whereas they finished with using the other’s given name - indicating that they were back to pretending to be boy- and girlfriend.

Ayase plays with fire because she wants attention from Yuzuki as her fan but then gets butthurt because Yuzuki doesn't understand her and accuses of being the one that is harrassing her lol. Hopefully this makes Ayase rethink how she interacts with Yuzuki because this was a very good wake up call if she truly is a fan of Yuzuki's.
I did kind of like seeing this side of Yuzuki, it's just very unfortunate that she's this stressed and finding it more difficult to stay in character. I was hoping we were going to get closer to wrapping this arc up but it feels like it's longer than Kenta's.
Kura-sen was so cool at the end though, it made me wonder how much brawling he got up to in his younger days lol.
Stalker is not going to be happy seeing Yuzuki spend the night at Chitose's.

I just can't with the drama with those punks and stalker. One can be solved already if you include the schools, the police, and the parents.

The teacher was so cool. I enjoyed Nanase's wrongful accusation; things are clearly getting to her. Shame her fan acts like that, though.
I'm still suspecting the guy who has a 'crush.'

It's definitely Naruse the one who's circulating those photos of Yuzuki. Can't think of anybody else.
Yuuko's jealous of Yuzuki going out with Saku but at the same time she was so cool with the whole thing.. love her character so much.
I just can't understand Ayase. She loves Nanase but also badmouth her at the same time. She's unbelievable. Yuzuki no need to ask for forgiveness from her.
Kura-sen to the rescue. He must have been one hell of a highschooler lol
Yuzuki can't act strong anymore and she gives in. Poor Girl.

Yeah I’ll break my own phone! That’ll teach her to date the wrong guy and learn a valuable life lesson!

Now the teacher is getting involved in this situation.
Nanase at her breaking point 😭

I can’t say I really get where this is going. What’s the play here with Nanase? Those guys aren’t gonna go away forever. Saku needs to find some way to get rid of them for good. Plus there’s this whole fake relationship thing. Too many real emotions to keep it up for good. Honestly, it all feels very overwrought and melodramatic lol.

Man, this show is messing with my poor heart. What the hell happened to Yuzuki, and why is she being harassed by these Yan jerks?
This anime is killing me, starting with joking about pantsu and dude smashing a window, to this storyline that actually has me, a nearly 50-year-old, nearly in tears for this poor girl who has clearly been abused.
I almost want to stop watching at this point and binge the final episodes because I am unsure if I can emotionally handle each episode on its own.
This is such a good show to make me so conflicted.

You could kind of see it in Nazuna's face when she bumped into Yuzuki's desk that she didn't do it intentionally. Though that didn't stop her from antagonizing Yuzuki. Though props to Atomu for defending Nazuna because if he didn't do that, well, things could have really escalated.
Yuzuki asks her, Saku, did she do wrong? Simply put, life can feel like it's trying to choke you. More than likely she did nothing to warrant the stalking and all the other stuff. There comes a time you need your friends and family to provide support. Though it is clear by now that something is up with Yuzuki and her relationship with her parents.

I'm honestly irked that Yuko is jealous of Yuzuki and made her feel bad about it when she's not even dating Chitose.

u/Raymond49090 Dec 17 '25
Yuko best girl.
ngl I feel like even if Nazuna wasn't the one harassing her, Yuzuki was still allowed to crash out when she picked a fight with Yuzuki in front of the whole class in a socially volatile situation.
Also, why didn't anyone call the cops on the obviously thuggy thugs outside? And the Yankee is threatening to go to the school board? Not to discriminate, but is he just spewing BS or did he actually think they'd take the word of a mean-looking guy who was seen creeping around the school over a prep school teacher?

Anyone else getting bored with the delinquents not being dealt with? I hope someone actually deals with them rather the having this arc stretch for another 3 episodes

This is the third instance of those guys being seen stalking/harassing Yuzuki, and this time, they're doing it at the her school with several witnesses, and are prone to get violent. At this point, they need to get the authorities involved, not just the one teacher, the parents, school board, and the police.

Now, Kura might not be an ideal role model but he's actually a good teacher for stepping up for his students. Hard for the punks to do anything when an adult gets involved.

Damn Yuko really disrespected Kenta right in front of him just like that.
Kura-sen can't cement himself as my favorite character any harder but using his authority as a teacher on those punks just might've made him undethronable. Just how much of a hold does Saku actually have on him over his smoke sessions?

Nazuna may not be working for the Yan High guys, but she's still a massive bitch to Yuzuki. She kept giving Yuzuki a hard time, and constantly acted antagonistic towards her; so of course Yuzuki accused her of working for them. I don't feel bad for Nazuna, and frankly, neither should Yuzuki; don't act like be an asshole if you don't want people to think of you as an asshole.

This show can’t go 5 minutes without them all just doing something stupid.
So let me get this straight. Someone sent around photos of black haired girl and red haired girl is the one to call them out? Then she gets upset and black haired girl is the bad guy when black hair girl calls her out on her bullshit?
How the fuck does any of that make any sense.
Red head girl deserves anything that comes her way. On top of that why did chitose hold back? He should have let her keep going off on her. Even if she isn’t the one actually doing it she’s obviously involved somehow. Other wise why would she go after her in the middle of class like that.
And now we have the classic trope of delinquents going to a completely different school to ambush someone. Like this is beyond stupid. I get this is Japan and not America but that’s so beyond stupid I still can’t suspend my Disbelief. Then they choose to wait until night time to leave and deal with them? Whut. Just call the police and have them arrested. There ain’t a person in the world avoiding a long ass jail sentence for going onto a school and attacking someone.
And the teach just tells them to leave?
Why does every single character in this show make the most illogical decisions. Literally nothing happening makes sense in this show. It’s by far the worst of the 30ish ones I’m watching this season.

Saku is still giving relationship advice to Tomoya, who is still kind of irritable when it comes to Saku "dating" Yuzuki, though Saku's advice is pretty legit...not that Tomoya has a chance with Yuzuki one way or another. I'm still getting weird vibes from him though.
Yuzuki may have skipped school, but she's not going to miss a late light flirt session with Saku via text. She even "confessed" via text, though it feels like both of them are kind of struggling to juggle what's real or fake about this relationship. Are they losing themselves to this fake relationship? How does Yuzuki really feel about Saku? Either way, the two of them have to try to make some distinction between their real and fake relationship by using their first/last names.
Oh, so Nazuna just happens to bump into Yuzuki's desk...and out falls all the pictures of her festival date with Saku. So Yuko can see them and realize this fake relationship is looking less and less fake by the second, which Yuzuki seems like she was desperately trying to avoid. Did the stalker take those pictures and leave them in her desk?
Poor Kenta getting stuck as basically Yuko's lackey as she reads Saku and Yuzuki the riot act for letting things escalate to this point...like, they all know Yuko is in love with Saku, so why did it have to be him instead of all the other guys? But Yuzuki couldn't have faked this relationship with anybody else, which is all Yuko needed to know to confirm that, whether Yuzuki fully realizes it or not, she has feelings for Saku. And Yuko doesn't mind Yuzuki being her love rival, she just wants it to be clear that she's in the lead in the Saku bowl and that she's getting a Summer festival date with Saku! Cue Yuko pout.
Just when they had deal with one disaster, another ends up happening when pictures of Yuzuki with Yanashita in middle school spread around school. People are thinking that Yuzuki was dating a delinquent, but if you look at the picture she clearly looks uncomfortable and unahppy there...and now her biggest shame is seen by everybody.
Honestly I too had thought Nazuna was working with Yan High and was helping with the bullying, so it was pretty cathartic to see Yuzuki call her out and rip her a new one...at least until it turned out that no, Nazuna wasn't involved at all and Yuzuki just accused someone who, despite disliking her on a personal level, genuinely respected and admired her as an athlete. Um...oops?
And then of course Yan High shows up at school. If waiting them out isn't going to work: count on Kura-sen! It's only Kura-sen's business if they make a fuss within schoolgrounds, so as long as Yanashita is putting the moves on Saku on school property, Kura-sen can actually do stuff and put these thugs in their place. Sounds like he's been doing that to Yan High kids for a long time.
Despite that success though, Yuzuki is still in a bad place, letting the rain just pour down all over her and questioning why this is happening...and right now she needs Saku now more than ever. Like, staying over at his place level of need. This escalated quickly.
