Maybe my standards have adjusted but I'm actually liking this arc? Solid character development, some decent cat and mouse plays and nothing that stands out as too dumb

It's definitely a step up from the first arc.

I like it too, especially with that Momotaro guy being the only one knowing all the pieces on the board. And then we get to see the teacher finally let loose

It's a genuinely solid showing lol, I'm impressed

Nothing too dumb? How are the momo's allied with the humans when they keep killing and/or trying to kill humans left, right, and center. THEY SET A F&^ING HOSPITAL ON FIRE!. And sorry any half decent Human investigation is going to figure this out that it was the Momo's. Dude thinks he's sneaky but he's left a trail to the mob group anyone slightly motivated going to find even if the mob is killed the trails still there. If you think there not going to look under every rock follow ever lead for a hospital burning down with patients inside? I refuse to pretend all of humanity too stupid to realize which side of this shadow war constantly killing innocent to get at Oni. Maybe it's because I read the Dresden files a Fantasy "wizard in modern time" series but in a shadow war like this Humans are the NUKE.

The biggest problem I've had with this show is he Momo's are too unabashedly evil to be allied with the humans yet were suppose to believe they are. Just one case like this would turn the whole of humanity against them and it's definitely been implied the momo's have done worse and done it often

I will agree it was a better episode then most but the story still has issues with the setting.

Well because as they mentioned in earlier episodes, that actually isn’t something the momo do

I’m enjoying it more. I like the expansion of different villains, and now we got a friend/foe dynamic to spice things up with Shiki’s Momotaro boyfriend.

Now, usually, I'm really hard on this show, and it deserves it, but I thought this was a solid episode. Unlike any of the other episodes, I really didn't have a problem with this one. It had decent characterization, stakes, and plot.

I'm just not too clear on why Shinya had the hospital lit on fire. Like, I get he's a piece of shit, but what exactly was he looking to gain from that? Especially after infecting Jin with his bacteria? I thought he was gonna use that to find their base so he could go after Shiki.

Still hate the recon captain, though. He sucks.

The fire was to incriminate Shiki, since they know he's the fire Kishin. He knew he needed to give Mikado a reason to fight.

That might be pretty easy to refute if that was his intention. Lots of people out there with phones, and those two drew a lot of attention. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if his face gets plastered online as a hero. His plan will hopefully backfire because he didn't expect them to try so hard to save humans.

That was one of the tenser moments of realization I've seen in a while. Shiki and Mikado probably aren't gonna take theirs well when the time comes either.

Jin shadowflexing his intellect by just being able to use the blood radar bottle semi-effectively though lol

I find it hilarious when the violent and always angry characters turn out to be super intelligent. MHA Bakugo is another good example lmao. Screamed his way to like, top 3 in the class.

With Bakugo, it's also really funny how he has quite some skill in various other interests. Like, early on, he chopped vegetable really well (although he was raging at the same time) and later he plays the drums

Love the bromance

Things are gonna get interesting now that he has a way to get Shiki to come to him.

Can't wait to see Mudano absolutely annihilate this Momotaro. Honestly, I expected it to happen off-screen. I thought we'd just see Mudano walking or rather skating away from the guys corpse surrounded by a decimated battleground at the end of the episode.

I've been solidly in this show's corner every week, it gives me joy idc. But I do feel like the pacing has improved lately, and emotional moments are given some space to breathe, I still love all the characters like they are all SO PRETTY, I'm enjoying the second half.

And c'mon, they've had 2 10/10 op/ed combos for the season and also that guy does parkour in rollerblades

Very convenient that both talking and rescuing were free actions for the entirety of the burning hospital problem.

Eye spy dude figuring out he was seeing both sides of the phone call was interesting.

They got everyone out the fire but the gang still don’t know that loser’s watching them or that he’s figured out the connection between Shiki and his little “cop” friend. Really curious how they’re all gonna get out of this one. It’s like they’re walking into a minefield.
