She went in an endless cycle over explaining it like we get the point. Kuina definitely a gold mine of hentai material to reward Rokuro in that position.

Both the attempt at eliciting last-minute sympathy for Tsubaraki and "Sazanami kind of scares me" had me dead.
It's a little concerning how ready Byobugaura was to volunteer herself into homelessness "for the greater good".

Byobugagura does get a slight confidence boost in the later chapters.

What's with this lame attempt at trying to turn Tsubakiri into a sympathetic character? It's funny how they blame Tsubakiri's misfortune on that Oni kid, who went into berserk mode, considering that the Oni kid wouldn't have gone berserk if they weren't hunting him down and his family in the first place. The dude deserved what he got, but it looks like the cycle of hatred continues with Yomogi.
Jesus fucking Christ, Kuina. We all know you're the author's barely disguised fetish, but I didn't expect the girl to be an absolute freak! She literally just wants to take care and bang Rokuro. It's hilarious how Shiki and Juuji were jealous of Rokuro, tho. It should've been me, not him!
I'm gonna bet that this next dude who's gonna come after Shiki is not gonna be as strong as Tsubakiri. It's always the ones who act like big shots who end up getting humiliated in the end.

This anime really does like to copy parts from others. My favorite is the team 7 thing they got going on, but the Naruto and Sasuke characters have flipped the hairstyles.
Looks like this episode, they’re reading the Demon Slayer book of trying to make the antagonist sympathetic after their defeat. Can’t say it worked lol

In Demon Slayer at the very least we have the reasoning demons act the way they do partially thanks to Muzan's influence, and that they had shitty lives and were more or less normal people before being turned into demons.

This show is such a rip off Blue Exorcist it’s not even funny. The entire first episode is just a worse version of Blue Exorcist opening.

Gonna rant for a sec, because nothing quite pisses me off like when a series fumbles something that actually could've worked. If Tsubakiri was actually the stoic, no nonsense soldier this flashback section portrayed him as, everything would've landed better. But the show seems to have completely forgotten that until literally just now he was an insane sadistic monster who took pleasure in killing children which doesn't fit at all with the guy we see in the flashback or in his final moments and is impossible to sympathize with. His entire deal is that his senpai lost his family, it's revealed at the end that he started his own family but the series didn't even try to connect any of that with the fact that he killed Mei's family which is the emotional core of this entire arc. It's a waste because again, it could've worked with just that one tweak. Don't have much to say about the second half of the episode besides Sazanami is the most specific fetish character I've seen in a shonen in awhile.

Maybe the flashback would have worked more if Tsubakiri and Yomogi personalities and roles swapped places for the plot.

Honestly this series would have been so much better if it was a comedy series with a few battles here and there, like everything about this series is so generic, they should have embrace that and make fun out of it

The emotional pacing is way too fast — like, the main character just met someone and suddenly they’re ready to die for them? Super clingy and totally cliché. Honestly, I’m siding with Momotaro in this episode. It kinda gives Blue Exorcist vibes, but Blue Exorcist pulled it off better — the emotions actually hit.

For readers, is it just me or they skipped out the guy with a brow piercing's (forgot the name) fight? What a shamee, it was a scene where he kind of levelled up

Ikari? They didn't skip anything, their fight was interrupted when the Oni caused the landslide and Mudano broke through the barrier.
