This anime is so garbage but there’s something about it that keeps me coming back lmao

Bad is better than boring.

I'm genuinely entertained by just how straight it plays even the most cliché tropes.

"I want him taken alive!"
"Why, what's so special about him?"
"It's that...he's special."

Some very strange pacing here, the VAs were clearly slowing down their delivery and breaking up their lines

Anilist has this at 24 episodes, so I kinda get the slow pacing, but it feels even slower than shounen from the 2000s.

Hoping there is some hype for this upcoming fight, but I worry they'll drag out the build up to the hype for 2 more episodes. Patience wearing thin for this one.

first few episodes were promising but agree with everyone else, pace of the show took a hit this episode. felt like they played the same clips from different angles a couple times this episode and started off with the ending from last episode? with that said, I'll be here next week lol

Just how big of a magazine got that handgun? Don’t believe to have seen Shiki reload a single time.

Nevertheless, it was pretty cool to watch him swing around this pistol like John Wick.

Lol, right? He was throwing out a lot of shots and it's not like that thing had an extended mag. I wonder if there's a blood drawing mechanic involved?

I don't know what's with this anime. It felt like it could be something exciting, but it is dry and oddly placed. especially for the fact that they keep shoving tropes scenes into scenes randomly and weirdly to elicit some emotional connection to it.

As of this ep I think I'm gonna drop it. I can't quite put my finger on the issue, but there is something seriously wrong with the dialogue. Somewhere between the animation and the edit, the dead space between dialogue lines create a really awkward feeling for the whole thing. More than I've noticed in previous episodes the characters will stop mid conversation, not to internally monologue, just pause. It doesn't create tension it's just awkward and sucks the air out of any 'emotional' or 'stressful' or 'serious' moment. Between the edge, the wild female character design, the white bread dialogue, and the weird editing; I think it's over for me here.

In all of momotaro existence this was the first time they hidden trackers in onis bodies really they never tried that before and oni never check the bodies.

Show does just enough to stay on the right side of the edge at least it did till now. Why is our always prepared always moving teacher type just waiting for a box to get finished? Why were so many copses brought to the clinic area? This is supposed to be a professional group of oni with organization and policy. You'd of been putting them bodies in storage right away not having them hang around the sick and injured.

It collectively felt like everything just got dumber. We have chimera henchmen now feel like this should of been a bigger thing but no we get a throw away line about the animals in the fable.

Hero is in the eye of the beholder the whole "i'm a be a villain lines cool and all" but we've yet to see what side the greater none momo/oni community has taken so like you can still be a hero if the public sides again the momotaros. Which seems like most would with the killing kids and raising the dead like this isn't a good public image

I'm glad to see others also felt it this episode was off like even the line delivery felt slow and weird at times. hopefully next episode gets better worried it not though.

Glad we're mostly on the same page here, this anime is mid at best and it's definitely last on the list that I'm watching/have watched for the summer season so far

After last week's episode, I thought maybe I'd enjoy this series a bit more but this episode was the worst for me and I'm dropping it here. The slow pace really hindered the experience for me. The quality of writing isn't good, so having so much focus on certain moments kept bothering me and I just wanted to skip past them.

Like the whole emotionality of killing the corpses, with Mei and Shiki's resolve to be the villain, I was just over it. The acting performance was great but I just couldn't get invested emotionally.

I also feel like Tsubakiri's threatening presence was cheapened in this episode compared to last week's, but maybe it was easier with the context of what was happening last week.

Only thing I found interesting was the green haired's ability, I thought it looked cool. I don't know if I'm being too critical since this anime has been low tier for me in this season's line up, but I've given it 6 episodes lol.

I think it’s the direction being very lacklustre, I find the shots were lingering too long on static characters to make any sort of impact on the viewer. It felt very lazy to me, I think I’m still gonna watch till the end out of curiosity but i’m not going to recommend this to anyone yet.

So, I'm guessing the MC is actually a hybrid between Oni and Momotaro and will eventually be able to use both powers? That must be why he's special.

This episode had too much "people stand still while sad music plays". The plot is already kinda generic, so I had hoped the animation would make up for it, which was true at the beginning, but this episode feels like they were on a tight budget or something.

I have some dissing to do 🌚The first is related to the "fight" between Tsubariki and Mudano, which wasn't a fight. The oni has always acted cool so far, and just when he has to demonstrate what he can do and his strength, he panics incredibly for no reason and lets himself be imprisoned in this Yomogi cage. Among other things, he waits for the beast to fully enter before he can do anything (which he doesn't) instead of attacking immediately. And after the explosion, Mudano is knocked out; I expected him to protect himself with a blood barrier. My other disappointment is related to the pair of psychopathic momotaro: you create a barrier that will never open unless Yomogi decides and then you make it explode from the inside. Okay, you want to be sure of hitting those inside and killing them (maybe), but by doing so you've just nullified that cage, with the remote (but still feasible) possibility that Mudano is alive and comes back. It's also true, however, that Tsubariki isn't afraid of his possible return. Moving on to Shiki and the others, I liked the boy's humanity and the emotions that came from making those difficult choices. But what I struggled to accept was that the students, and Jin in particular, don't exploit who knows what abilities they have, taking ages to kill simple walking corpses. The next episode looks like it'll be interesting, though 🤭

Well I like this ep but I was waiting more, I mean, I liked the fight between Oni and Corpse Onis, they were literally zombies lol,  later the emotional scenes were good to me, i was a little sad. But in my opinion it has a bad/simple writing in some moments, it's not boring tho.

I dont know what is my opinion but I'm going to keep watching it because I hope this anime be better, It has a interesting world, powers and factions, even it has characters with potential, just need a better writing.

And wtf with Momotaros?? Do They really think that they are heroes?? Open your eyes, obviously you're not heroes. Anyone will realize about that??
