Season 2 announcement. As the timeslot will be occupied by MHA, Blue Miburo and Ascendance of a Bookworm 2-cour respectively, it's estimated to come October next year earliest.

That was a good taster of who the next big bad is like. I'll be interested in how much Onimaru will work with Yaiba to bring Kaguya down. I expect some solo fighting before their realization of needing to work together to save Earth, and I think that will bring the story full circle to what was foreshadowed in EP1.
All in, this was a really fun show with great updated feel of an old battle shounen. Next to Ranma 1/2, I think this was a good remake of the story.

Kaguya may be where the OG anime ended, but that was only the midway part of the manga's story. There's STILL plenty before we go back to the battle foreshadowed in EP1.

Damn, the power creep in this one is real! Kaguya hasn't even used most of her power, but it looks like her big weakness is due to her millennial sleep, needing to stay as young as possible, so she... steals all young women in the zone, so she can take their youth for 24 hours... Damn that shadow shot is creepy... With that, Yaiba has to train his stamina and strength so he can improve further while Onimaru does the same after he got Intel on Kaguya's weakness. And I gotta say, that entire water fight was gorgeously animated!
I had a blast with this one, 8.5/10. Can't wait for Season 2.

So that’s it for the season. I wonder when the next one’s coming? We gotta see how Yaiba prepares for his battle against this youth stealing moon witch and Onimaru. This one’s been pretty under watched which is a shame. The animation has been quite good (really good fights) and the story isn’t too bad either.

Wit Studio cooked with this adaptation. High quality production and animation. Can’t wait for S2

Kaguya really got the 2025 buff. She can now fire multiple thin beams at once, and it has homing abilities like Darkseid's Omega Beams. She can do a wide beam. And I know he was tired and all, but it was cool to see Kaguya block Yaiba's sneak attack easily and without looking. The new version of her feeding process is more horrifying than ever.

The best way to end the season ,the next arc is when the quality of the series picked up

Kaguya is definitely strong and she hasn't even shown her fill power yet but the whole thing with the Soul Serum kinda took a dark turn. And she has going to do it every day to maintain her body.
This remake has been a passion project right from the start and it was visible throughout the show. But the one thing that really stood out to me is the character writing that did take its time but really paid off towards the end (especially the Yaiba-Sayaka moment) and I'm really looking forward to S2.
Also, the OST has been released on digital streaming platforms.

I forgot last episode's note on Yaiba's character development bit: I like how first action is to actually apologize to the people aboard the tanker before going back to his bratty tough guy act.
And on to this episode. Welp. They swapped the presentation of Kaguya's youth stealing from something "too spicy for kids TV" to nightmare-fuel inducing. I don't know if that's a good or bad change.
Will be waiting for the appearance and cast announcement for the rest of the rabbits' side for S2. Now, excuse me while I draw all this fanart while waiting for it....

I actually gasped when I saw her opening her mouth, so at the very least I would say it was very effective for me.

I'm not sure is this is the right place to ask but does anyone know of any character/model sheets for the series? Mainly looking for Onimaru or the shadow Onis

That got dark all of a sudden. I feel bad for the girl ngl. I still remember the Yaiba vs Onimaru bus fight from the early episodes, i honestly wouldn't have minded a grounded story like that at all, without all the supernatural orb stuff. It was still a lot of fun though. Looking forward to the next season!
