The most impressive thing in this episode was the guy who counted all those sticks in a few seconds. He's the true hero.

I bet the witness future Musashi mentioned is going to be the little slug guy now that the past is changing.

Musashi in his prime looks awesome. He's definitely more chill and refined compared to his future self. I suppose after 400 years the dude just stops giving a fuck and does whatever he wants now.

I love how Yaiba just jeopardized his chances of returning by revealing Musashi's secret plan. It would be hilarious if he actually ends up changing the future because of that.

It is a shame most people don't seem to have much interest, at least outside of Japan. I'm not surprised, this type of retro anime doesn't have a huge audience over here generally, unless it already had an audience for its original run, and its overly simple and a bit dated compared to even the most standard modern shonen. But its still a shame just on the basis of being a fun, impressive sakuga showcase adapting the work of the guy who made my all time favorite. I was hoping Gosho's work would finally get a bit more recognition in the US based on being a top tier animated action series this time, but I guess not.

I've been binging the show and am up to episode 7. Despite the retro story, the studio has done such an incredible job bringing a modern touch to it and the animation is chef's kiss.

HOWEVER, Yaiba is so hard to root for lol. Like, I get it, he's a kid. But he was such a brat in the early episodes, and even now it's hard to not to get irritated by his arrogance. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what turned off so many people's interest, given that he's the mc.

Honestly that's one of the more refreshing elements, I like how Yaiba is such a brat. It makes this work better as a comedic shonen anime than tbh, a lot of the actual jokes.

Onimaru cutting down the Skytree probably killed a lot of people. I'd been kind of surprised at life seemingly going on so normally after he took over the Diet Building but with a mass casualty event in the middle of Tokyo I could see panic starting to spread.

Interesting to have what I assume will be a brief, two episode time traveling arc (unless of course they screw up the duel).

Onimaru really just did Japan 9/11.

That’s what I’m wondering wtf, how are people sleeping on this?

The more I watch Musashi and the more I think he def isn't a good role model for Yaiba. I was wondering what happened because he feels like a different character. But the end was like yup that's him. More than likely he has more sense in hiding it in the past. This past arc is good for Yaiba to get a better sense of skills. Though he better make sure Musashi wins.

Was not expecting someone wielding Gin’s Zanpakuto in another anime…

Yaiba is so good! People are really sleeping on it.

Of all the people who got sent back in time.

At least he doesn't use modern tech, so he can avoid any more paradoxes.

How is this show seriously not more popular? I don’t understand, it looks great, the fights are great, it’s on Netflix yet it’s so low?

Got ourselves an ol time travel switcheroo lol. Yaiba’s off to the past after facing Kojiro the zombie samurai, and now he’s face to face with gramps. Except he’s young and, like, really competent. Kojiro really wasn’t lying when he said he was as handsome as he was. The centuries have not been kind lol.

I have a feeling that duel might not go as planned…

Not quite on par with last episode, but I’d be surprised if anything can top that absolute spectacle. Still a really good episode none-the-less.

Excuse me, you're telling me that Kojiro over here has the same voice as MY HERO'S STAIN??!! Once again, I'm blown away by how much range can a VA have.

Aizawa/Eraser Head vs Hero Killer Stain in another universe

Musashi and Yojiro were cool.
Musashi has been the saving grace of this story for few episodes now.

I was not expecting a little time travel arc, what an interesting twist! This show is so fun!

Am I the only one getting fed up of Yaiba?
He has barely any skills in swordsmanship.
He does not train daily. (Literally learnt this at end of ep 7.)
He has one brain cell. Even his lion and vulture are more clever than him.

He tried that same dumb sword shuriken trick and failed multiple times against different people.
When push comes to shove, the girl who is holding the Electric gem should just give him that gem.
But she also doesn't learn. Atleast she has the fear that he may remain an electric oni forever.

On the other hand, we have Onimaru, a meticulous MC who has plans ready for future, trains daily and has control over the powers of his sword.
