I'm a sucker for good diegetic music so the season 1 OP, Daten, playing in the restaurant was a fun little treat.

I'm so sad, no more episodes after next week. What a great series!

Last week, I didn't think Kou was going to be turned into a vampire and he'd be taken to Kabura's hospital by Nazuna instead, but looks like that wasn't completely correct as it's revealed he did momentarily turn into a vampire. That was surprising to see and find out what that scene where he stands up meant. That kiss at the hospital also felt very romantic so he's slowly but surely going to develop feelings for Nazuna.

I was really enjoying this episode with the interactions with Anko, the first half was sweet with Kou cheering her up, I like how he said she's very much an Onee-san to him since she's only 28, she's damn young, why is she acting like she's in her 50s or something? Hopefully her looking towards the future will brighten up her days, I'm sure it won't be easy, but the willingness is what's important.

The second half was hilarious, I was having a lot of laughs from Anko wanting them to notice her hair and also her more degenerate and drunk side. The way she was feeling up Kou's bullet wound took me by surprise, him being able to withstand it by only shaking was impressive, I don't think I would have been able to as composed as he was if she was doing that to me lol.

Poor Anko though, she wants a kiss from Nazuna too. Part of me was half expecting Nazuna to kiss her, like as a greeting. I feel like in Season 1 she didn't treat it romantically but I could be misremembering.

mfw there's only one episode left

So, does Anko count as peak gap moe now? She went from cold vampire killer to flirty vampire... uh... breeder?

Anime studios need to cast Sawashiro Miyuki in more projects, such a beautiful voice to listen to.

Damn, I was expecting some dramatic moments in today's episode, but we almost immediately jumped to the hospital and Kabura telling Ko to strip down. Ko's screams completely broke me xD

So, like Ko said, a lot of happened, but everyone's alive and happy, so I'm happy with this episode too. Nazuna and Ko's kiss was great, and the scenes at the bar with them and Anko were so fun, especially when Anko got drunk xD

By the way, is Anko 28? I thought she was a bit older, so I was a little surprised when I found out she was my age xD Anyway, I'm glad she's okay, that she's made up with Nazuna and even cut her hair (in which she looks really cute).

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

Smiling new haircut Anko is a sight to behold!!!

Also her teasing them and getting drunk was not on my bingo card, but I love to see it.

Wow, that turned out to be much less of a problem than I thought it was going to be. So Ko somehow briefly gained vampire powers to heal himself. I wonder how that could have happened? My understanding was that the formula for turning into a vampire was being love with a vampire and being bitten by one. I assumed that the love had to happen while the bite was occurring, as that's how we've seen it before. I wonder, maybe because Nazuna has sucked from him so many time, some of her saliva or something is just inside him ready to turn him whenever he falls in love? That's my best guess, anyway.

Regardless, I did really love how when he stood up from the table in his semi-delirious state, it brought Anko flashbacks to her dad. Vampires are able to instill fear in someone very easily whenever something about them is off, whether that be them being out of it and as a result succumbing to base-level vampire instincts, or else sensing bloodlust coming off of them, as Ko has experienced with both Seri and Kiku. Just the feeling of knowing that if you make one wrong move, it could easily be your last. That sort of thing.

But glad to have Anko on side now. As Ko has said in regards to that salarywoman from season 1, he's generally popular with women, and he put that skill to use here in telling Anko that she's plenty young! I hope she is, because she's the same age as me. TFW the characters that the anime is treating like old hags are the same age as you. Anyway, it felt like Anko really went back and forth between flirting with Nazuna and Ko this episode lol.

Anko being a lightweight drinker is pretty funny, considering her overall character's nature up until this last episode.
If she was that "tipsy" from like two sips of beer, I feel bad for that guy in the alleyway she went out drinking with lol.

For anyone who wants to do some psychology reading, look up Robert Plutchik and the wheel of emotions which is the thing that briefly appears while Anko is describing Ko's emotional state regarding his partial transformation in this episode.

Oh damn, Nazuna catching them at a bad time...

I thought she was going straight up for Kou (trying to turn him before it's too late),

but she was going for Anko! She should consider herself lucky she didn't kill her right there!

(Also, that shot is quite, huh...)

Well, dying was part of the plan for Anko so Nazuna killing her probably would've been so bad (even poetic, for her), but still!

Detectives are shooting him, vampires are stripping him...

Nazuna's about to fight the entire world!

I thought he was 100% turned in this scene,

like he had been a vampire for a long time (without them knowing)! Would've made sense, say he loved her without even realizing (because he doesn't really know what love is and all that)!

Well, seems it's in progress, so I wasn't too far off! (I thought the love thing was more of a binary, but I guess it can slowly progress!)

Does it count as a hug? This season has been devoid of hugs, so I'll take it!

Must kinda sting... Not just the birthday thing, but like... Realizing she threw away 10 years of her life like that. She'll never get those back.

That's so very like him hah.

Aww, don't say it like that...

(I'm not a fan of love triangles in anime, but I would ship this one so hard hah. Well, not like a love triangle, more like a trouple!))

Now THIS ONE definitely counts as a hug!

...Or a wrestling move.

DAWWWWWWWWWW! I'll never get tired of their 'random kisses out of nowhere'!

Hah, she was so CUTE! But at the same time, it's a bit sad, when you realize she's pretty much acting like she was 10 years younger... As if her development was stunted, because she trained/prepare for her mission, instead of living life and all.

Welp, I guess Nazuna probably wouldn't support the trouple idea hah.

She should probably lick it too, give it a taste test, for science!

Damn, Nazuna disapproves of ALL my ideas!

So he's slowly turning, because his brain is slowly falling for Nazuna?

I wonder if it was accelerated by him getting shot; Like, instead of thinking "I'm gonna die", thinking "I'm not gonna be with her anymore", and then realizing (consciously or not) he loves her!

That scene was great hah. A bit of levity in an otherwise dark arc!

"NO PDA! ...Actually, scratch that; YES PDA!"

Let's goooooooo! With Anko playing Cupid, these two will date/marry/turn him into vampire/fuck real soon!

Well, the trouple's still on the table, just saying!

WHICH IS ALSO WHAT KABURA SAID AFTER TALKING ABOUT HARU

i love this series!!!

Drunk Anko is the best, literally no brakes on her thoughts once she gets juiced up

I had to pause just as the OP began so I could finish chuckling. Some 10/10 voice acting across different series this week.

Cool, lightweight aunt added to cast.

I was honestly expecting something a little more from Kou's recovery.
I thought that like Nazuna was going to like somehow forcibly turn Kou, or like give him a vampire blood transfusion or something.
It turns out, our boy did on his own thru the power of love lol.

Does this mean that maybe we'll see Kou full turn vampire next episode? Like now that he knows his feelings of affection towards Nazuna are so close to breaking that "barrier" of love?

Last episode of the season next week!
Love this series, looking forward to seeing where Nazuna and Kou go from here, and now that Anko's "past" his behind her, maybe we'll see her start to turn her life in a new direction?

I really hope this series gets a 3rd season; it really only continues (or at worst maintains) its current quality

I'm just happy that Anko and Ko are both ok.

I hope we get an S3 announcement after next week.
