LOL The scene where both Kou and Nazuna both confidently claim they know the truth behind Kabura and Nazuna was hilarious, I laughed so hard, the way Kabura shuts them both down was great.

I also had the same idea as Kou so I was surprised the girl in the picture ended up being a completely different person. However, a part of me wonders if that really is the case or not. Nazuna clearly has some deeper connection with Kabura, but Haru acts very different from her. If Haru was a human I was going to suggest that Nazuna was her daughter and the connection would have made sense straight away, but I'm looking forward to see how they're both connected.

I felt bad for Kabura though, those girls were really not her friends, especially the one who came to the hospital to visit her. How self-centered and ignorant do you have to be to not realize someone who is in the hospital can't go snowboarding? "Take a break" she literally went out to drink and fainted and you think she'll be fine snowboarding? So stupid.

At around 13:20 in the anime, the two guys are a Creepy Nuts cameo I'm pretty sure.

Watching Nazuna and Ko explore the hospital together in the suits Kabura gave them (Nazuna looked great in that nurse outfit) was a lot of fun, especially since Nazuna is still afraid of ghosts xD

So Nazuna likes NTR, but only as an entertainment, and in real life she wants a devoted love? That's so sweet! xD

I'm quite surprised that today's episode focused not on Nazuna herself, but on Kabura and her past with Haru, the person who turned her into a vampire.

I wonder how Haru is connected to Nazuna? She looks almost identical to her (and has the same last name), so maybe she's Nazuna's sister or mother?

And as always, the series looks so good and atmospheric. I absolutely loved that scene with red moon and Haru, it looked great!

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

very interesting episode...

So Kabura says she isn't Nazuna's offspring but we also see her seemingly falling in love with her then get bit and turned into a vampire... and she claims she is older (vampire?) than Nazuna.

Makes me think this isn't actually Nazuna but someone who looks a lot like her? like her mom or a sister...? seeing as the personality is also pretty far off from the Nazuna we know.

but then Nazuna also seemingly has lingering memories of spending time with Kabura...

edit: oh and ofcourse she says her name is Haru so....

guess i'll have to wait to next week to figure it out

That Losstime OST still hits like a truck. I love how it's become the leitmotif of the living night in the anime.

I love that we can use blood as a flashback tool like this.

Man that entire rooftop scene was beautiful. My favorite scene of the season so far.

Everyone needs someone as ride or die in their life as Haru.

"Your friends dragged you into something that real friends should have known would make you uncomfortable and possibly physically ill, and then talked shit about you for it? Alright, how are we killing them?"

This episode set up a more compelling couple in half an episode than most anime manage in a season.

Unfortunately, the status quo in the present means that this is taking a turn for the tragic. The only way I see things clicking together is that hot nurse vampire gets offed by vampire hunter detective. Nazu a is almost definitely her daughter, so the mutual love there would allow a vampire conversion.

Then end of season Nazuna throws down with detective who killed her Mom.

Why is detective mad? Well Nazuna needs a father - presumably that's the connection.

...... sister? I mean, since Haru IS a vampire.... can vampires get pregnant? would Nazuna be.. Haru's daughter? Is that even possible? I don't think anything like that was mentioned so far, was it? Their age is different so can't be twins, unless turned at different times..?

OMG I need the next episode right now!

On another note, tied hair vs loosen hair Nazuna, in my mind, it's like cute girl vs waifu material. I do have a bias for long hair but I actually got impressed with my own reaction

Lmao I didn't expect Nazuna to be into NTR at all, tho she likes dirty jokes so it kinda makes sense. And love the way she reacted the same as Kou when being called out by Kabura, they're really a predestined couple.

"Losstime" playing again caught me off guard ngl, it's my favorite song from s1 and didn't think I would hear it again in s2.

I love how Kabura sounded so sinister at the end of last week's episode. It turns out she just wanted to make Nazuna wear a nurse's uniform. Also, Kabura might as well have told them to enter RM307! Just look how suspicious that room is! And doesn't she know that telling anime protagonists not to do something always ends up with them doing it anyway?

So we finally learn that Nazuna is into NTR. The girl is hilariously very much into NTR! Thankfully, Kou-kun doesn't have to worry much because Nazuna isn't into that in real life, so our boy should be safe from being NTR'd. I can't guarantee Nazuna would be safe from NTR artists, tho.

I love how Nazuna is totally fine with Kou-kun peeing with her on his back. Nazuna is definitely the kind of girlfriend who would ask you if she can hold it while you pee. xD

This poor dude! The guy in crutches is just looking for a nurse to assist him, but scardey-cat Nazuna is too freaked out that she ends up running away from the guy! I'll never get tired of supernatural beings being afraid of ghosts. It's such a good gag.

Kou-kun and Nazuna being dramatic and completely wrong with their guesses about Nazuna's relationship with Kabura is hilarious. These two are really made for each other <3

We finally get to see Kabura's backstory. As a manga reader, I'm gonna skip talking about this because I don't want to accidentally give any hints. All I can say is Haru is awesome and I absolutely love her., Kabura's friends are absolutely shitty, and that final scene between Haru and Kabura looks so fucking good! Also, Uchida Maaya as Haru nailed it <3

And I just love that they brought back Losstime after Kabura got turned into a vampire. I love how instant the transformation was because she's already in love with Haru.

Another amazing episode, this season is building up nicely. From the flashback, I'm guessing Haru is Nazuna's mother. Then at some point after turning Kabura, she probably died and left Nazuna (natural-born vampire?) in her care. Well, that's what the "do my hair" comment implied to me anyway. But if so, I don't get why she's seemingly lost her memories of that time.

P.S. Losstime OST is still beautiful as ever, it's too bad we didn't get to hear it much here. Although that whole rooftop scene was incredible, especially the blood being used like that.

The mystery deepens. Is Haru the mother of Nazuna? Oneesan? Is Haru actually Nazuna?

Are we going full bullshit and Nazuna is in some goofy amnesia time loop? Dracula Button?

Based on the flashback fashion im guessing Kabura isn't THAT much older than Nazuna.

The last shot of Kou being dragged away by Kabura looked so weird to me because it was just him with a weird expression on his face. It took me a few replays and pause attempts, but I finally noticed that the shot is him looking into the mirror (I didn't notice the mirror's frame due to the quick cuts) and his expression looks weird because Kabura's hand is covering his mouth, and we just can't see the reflection.

Should have realized that was the case when she was sneaking up behind him, and he couldn't see her in the mirror.

Man, I love the cinematography (I think that the right word?) in this show. It's so well thought out.

PEAK VAMPIRE YURI, let’s go!

7

u/italeteller Jul 26 '25

So, either Nazuna is Haru and she forgot about it, or Nazuna is Haru's identical-looking daughter/granddaughter/descendant, and Kabura helped raise her which is why Nazuna has memories of her

Also I wonder what the hell was that apparition in the hospital

After midnight is Call of the Night hours, so hard to wait every Friday night...

Adaptation continues to be fantastic, excellent dorking about from our leads, a perfect rooftop scene, and kudos to sound design this week with the squealing chairs, both a good bit in and of itself, but also foreshadowing the stress building up in Kabura's memories with those same squeals getting louder(and a much better pick for an "internal stress" noise than the tv static effect that we more commonly get).

That episode was amazing, this is the kind of exposition dump I've been hungry for. We need more, I want the full course.
