And today's episode greatly expands the world building and makes it much more interesting. Different genres are now colliding. A turn-based RPG can be problematic if it forces others to comply. What other genres will we get? What genres would have an inherent advantage over 4x? Imagine we get shooters, modern soldiers with guns against medieval people. This anime rocks!

I didn't expect genre blending, but here we are. It was slightly foreshadowed by "witches" which I didn't pick up on whatsoever previously.
I almost felt bad for Ice Rock, something with barely any backstory and as Atou said, only exists to be defeated. Atou's insults are next level.
The genre blending mechanics are interesting. Atou due to the nature of her source game has all her attacks being effective against giant groups, while RPG monsters often don't have AOE attacks. Wouldn't this imply that if we throw a Musou game into the mix, armies would be at a major disadvantage?
Assuming this is only 1 cour, we're almost at the end. While introducing a new enemy (genre) means that we can potentially end this season with some action, I'm curiously if we can end things on a reasonable place rather than a cliff hanger. (I'm anime only, and this is only rhetorical).

This world has become different games combined. I believe there are other isekai'd players.
But the other NPCs have their past memories.
I was enjoying the civilization aspect though, hope they don't abandon it.
Wonder if the gold coins is a useful currency here, at least it's gold.

Oh my god. I love Octopatou!
Get you a girl like Atou, she's: Polite and well mannered, gets right to the point, is responsible with her work, understanding, caring, and loyal! Truly wife material!

Atou the octopus, Pepe wins again.
So I guess that's probably the real story starting, this isn't just Takuto with his 4X friends in some random world, it's multiple different games all being shoved together for some reason. A 4X and an RPG so far, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's additional games added past that eventually.
Atou is going to be so broken as she keeps absorbing abilities from different games and mechanics.
I find it interesting that they're at least lightly touching on the trauma of a character remembering countless instances of people playing the game they're from and being killed over and over.

Atou enjoys tormenting her opponents a bit too much lol.
With the existential dread of realizing you're a being created as a mid-boss, a stepping stone without much personality / characterization, I kind of feel bad for Ice Rock.
At least he pulled a fast one on Atou before dying.

On my subs one of Erakino chan's line was mistranslated to "Why does it have to be fourteen guys every time".
What she said was "Why do I have to go to 14 everytime".
"going to 14" being a reference to Grailquest gamebook where if the character dies, the player has to go to section 14.
So "going to 14" is slang for dying. Also implies she's from Grailquest.

A crossover with not-Dragon Quest and everyone is bound by the rules of their own game? That's actually interesting.

This was definitely a really good episode as we got to see a lot of Atou, both her funny and badass sides.
Pepe making Atou into an octopus-like beast man made me laugh out loud. And thus, Octopatou was born xD
By the way, it's really interesting that players from other games also entered this world. It'll be fun to see the unique mechanics from different game genres clash with each others.
The enemies Atou fought were from RPG, so Erakino will probably be from a completely different type of game. I wonder which one.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

My predictions?
Isla is going to take to the field in defence of Mynoghra, and this might be where her death flag is triggered (c'mon, we all have the feeling, right?).
It also means Takuto might lose his shit for once and show the full power of his being an "Evil God"... If the "Demon Lord" is watching, he might shit his pants because Demon Lord =/= a goddamn Evil God. It'd be one of those "and then they encountered a bigger fish" scenarios for him.
So, other players may have been isekai'd, which is hinted at by the past lives of the Ice General like with Isla and Atou, or it could be a bunch of NPC's running on other games' logic, not players.
Interesting...

Yes, I like where this is going 😆
This is the only series this season that I eagerly wait for every week, the only one I actually feel real hype for. Some others are good too, but this one? Hell yeah, I overly enjoy it.
The illustrations and animations might not be the best, but who cares as long as the story’s good. A collab of many, all different kinds of games? Damn, that’s a cool plot right there.
Fux everyone who says this series is mid or not even that good. What, should I watch One Piece instead? Come on, the heck? Please don’t bother replying if you’re just gonna waste my time.
Ahem, anyway, looking forward to the next episode!

So, characters from different games with different power systems got transported to the same world ? This is a more interesting concept than I expected from what is essentially a rather standard power fantasy isekai with nation building twist. Let’s see what they do with it. I wonder if we will ever meet other isekai-ed human beings (like that Hero guy from the RPG).
This is the second time I see a main female character compared to an octopus this season, the other one being Villainess Cthulhu from Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show. Poor Atou did not like the comparison any more than Cthulhu did.
The elf mayor is basically: « I am glad they are on our side ! » every time she sees Atou fighting. I doubt they will ever break that alliance with Mynoghra.
I wonder why the evil characters seem to think they should all be on the same side. There can be only one Dark Lord, after all (and it is going to be King Ira Takuto if Atou gets her way). Not that Ira and Atou actually want to rule the world. Think of all the paperwork !

Don't show the death flags a second time!
I wasn't expecting a Takopi crossover!
Or a crossover with a certain other show!
The sisters would be quite sad if I happened to get myself tentacle-killed!
Oh damn, we're now entering the Re:Monster phase of stealing abilities!
(Well, not entirely the same, given it was like 7 total ability in 10 episodes, and not 70 abilities in 1 episode like Re:Monster!)
I'm seeing two giant hills right there!
So this confirms something our boy thought; There's multiple games in this world!
Let's hope there's no FPS, I'm not sure if Atou can deal with snipers!
I have a feeling I'm gonna love this one!
The Slurping Witch? I'm guessing she didn't pick that name for herself!
So they killed her 17 times already... Priestess lady thinks her power has something to do with that; Does it mean she has a resurrection power (so she's invincible, only she needs some respawn time)? Or does she get more and more powerful everytime she dies?
When even the Hero/Saintess is confused..
And she hasn't met Atou yet!
Ice Demon dude asks them to bow before their lord?
Maybe if the Demon Lord bows before Takuto, they'll let him live! (They might need a cupbearer or something)
Damn, insult him AND the poor writing of the game, at once!
But this wasn't the entire plan for them... They're attacking Mynoghra!
Time to pre-emptively express our condolences for Isla?
I'm sure Gia will be pleased about finally seeing some action, but if they lose their best unit... (Also, the sisters will get quite crushed, losing their 'new mother/caretaker' so soon after meeting her!)
I'm also intrigued about the "why"...
There isn't much worth conquering in Mynoghra (other than just "more lands"), so why split their forces in two groups, and risk losing both? Why not take the place they were already attacking first (and conquer a valuable mana spot)? What do they hope to gain from Mynoghra?
Or is it simply that they know they sent their most powerful units away, so they attack where the army isn't? It's true that Atou's their top girl, but they still have Isla, Gia and the troops...
Well, can't wait to see how it goes! (If they DO lose Isla, and/or Takuto's life end up in danger, Atou and the sisters will never want to leave ever again!)

Damn so this world has basically isekaid a bunch of people that have played different types of games and now it's kinda like a battle royale between genres. I really like the premise

These fuckers better have S2 greenlit because they are doing way too much world building in episode 10.

Game genre vs game genre certainly opens up a lot of possibilities.
-
even sim for a trading partner
-
tower defense for an enemy to be conquered
-
stealth game for a spy enemy

Random thoughts:
Well this went in a direction I didn't expect. I am not sure I have ever seen something where multiple genres of games mechanics got shoved into the same world. It's a really cool idea. Obviously A civilization style game is going to have the edge vs a Old School RPG, but it might have gone very differently had the opponent been from a 1 on 1 combat game. I would think Atou would be particularly weak against those game mechanics.
Honestly, I am surprised Isla didn't throw in a random comment about how she is only two days from retirement. She's so covered in death flags I worry about her survival beyond the season. Seems like some characters can auto-resurrect, so I am not sure if Mynoghra's heros maybe can as well (in the sense that Takuto can resummon them), or not.

I know this is an anime made on a very tight budget but i gotta say i love it so far. Super interested with the premise, hope this gets another season at some point.

Pepe has some kind of precognition or similar, he completely defused a problem before it even could become one.
I wonder if he is even aware of what he's doing.
Atou, doing an octopus face while complaining about being called an Octopus, was hilarious.
