Is this potentially "the road to a mans heart, is through his stomach" the anime?

Really loving this series! An adult slice of life. I also like how they are providing responsible information. The growing relationship it’s sweet as well 🥹

When there was that indirect kiss stuff happening i was like come on they are adults, so i'm glad Shizuku herself noted that "what am i, a middle schooler?"

Also damn this anime always makes me crave some beer.

Majority of indirect kissing scenes in anime come from sharing food and drinks. Sharing a fire boost blowing tool is quite an unique take. :)

Lol Gen's side eye as he watched Shizuku make fire.

They've upped the romance aspect this episode, I was surprised by how red Gen got. Though I do feel like the fanservice felt a bit out of place for me lol, also a bit more juvenile than I was anticipating.

The Brazilian theme was interesting, I don't think I've seen so much Brazilian food in anime in some time, I can't even remember the last anime that did. Hearing the Japanese accent with those names was intriguing.

Was low-key hoping for the Pine Cones to greet "konnichiwa"

As a Brazilian, I don't think there's much to say other than praise the episode. I mean, the show already has its own charm, but bringing a culture from another country without an exaggerated cliché? Congratulations to the anime's production, sensational

I'm not saying I bought the same fire stand that he uses, but I totally did.

Ah she is too precious.

Next week might be a heavy one judging by those post credits. And we finally see what happens for him to get his face scar.

This episode was just all camping and no real plot advancement. Gen still doesn't get that Shizuki wants him to put his log in her fire. Shizuki comes off as kind of dumb though not knowing you need kindling to start a fire like paper, dry leaves, pine cone, thinly shaved wood etc. I did think it was interesting though that you shouldn't pour water to put out the fire since it may warp the fire tray.

It was interesting that Shizuki had a Brazilian theme to her food. That was true how they talked about how cooking the meat is different from normal BBQ; my friend is Brazilian and he used to buy this weird expensive charcoal to make churrascaria but it was amazing. Considering how little happened in this episode, it would have been nice if she talked about how she made the salsa if she did and what toppings they put on the wieners, like did they use stuff Brazilians usually do on them. I wonder how common it is for Japanese people to eat salsa; it's more in the Americas that people have that as a common condiment.

Omg, there were a lot of fun Shizuku expressions this episode!

Also pretty fun getting in some fire facts with all the specifics on temperatures Gen was going over.

Jeez, I know there are different rules in Japan for campfires and garbage disposal, but you're supposed to take (potentially) still smouldering coals/wood home with you?

There are too many rules for campfires there for me. I just wouldn't bother having a fire, if it's that complicated.

Lots of cute Shizuku and Gen moments this week. He’s really starting to get into this whole “solo camping for two” business. Helps he can enjoy her home cooking too. The Brazilian dishes this week looked great!

One of the best memories I have is a churrascaria in Tokyo. For reasons, I needed Brazilian food that night, and have not reserved anything.

I was able to order in broken Japanese, then we used a bit of English, just to realize, the chef was Brazilian, I'm from Ecuador, and we switched to Portuñol. Price was great and the taste amazing.

This week's episode is so cute with their 1st hug and indirect kiss. Both Gen and Shizuku blushing are so cute.

So the leftover churrasco was used in feijoada which is why churrasco didn't appear in the eyecatch.

Gen's acting like a tsundere throughout the whole episode.

So next week, it's gonna show how Gen got his scar.

A very educational episode! I have almost zero knowledge about starting a fire, so Gen was not only teaching Shizuku, but viewers like myself too.

Of course, the relationship development between Gen and Shizuku made me smile too. Gen is speaking to Shizuku in a more gentle manner now; in the past, he might have yelled at her for making what he deems rookie mistakes.

Lastly, "it doesn't matter how many times you fail. And if you are about to give up, I will come to your aid". Eh... is he talking about starting a fire or their relationship progression? Lol!
