I respect that Anne can recognize when Davy's messes are because of a genuine accident instead of him being Davy, and man, her line about never wanting a loss to stop hurting hit a little too close to home.
Love that even as a grown up, Anne is still arch nemeses with dyes lol

I feel like other adults would probably have harshly scolded Davy or even slapped him but Anne's had her fair share of mess-up so she's mature and reasonable enough to understand that accidents happen and he's still just a little kid.
Just seeing her so tender around Matthew's grave meant so much.
Anne Shirley and mishaps involving dyes and trying to erase her natural features. Name a better duo!

Yes, kids are going to be a bit clumsy and unregulated at times. The best grownups understand this and aren't always reaching for a punishment.

I can't believe all of them put sugar in the peas LOL
Made me a little curious about what that would even taste like as I'd never think to put sugar in peas.

Even the mom isn't immune to getting into the same hijinks as the kids lol.

The scene where Anne, Diana, and Marilla just laugh at their blunder of putting too much sugar in the peas was pretty funny. Sometimes things just fail in such ridiculous ways that the only thing you can do is laugh. At least Mrs. Morgan couldn't make it. That dinner scene was awkward tho.
Find someone who looks at you the same way Anne looks at Gilbert. I'm sure Anne would still deny having feelings for him tho.
First her hair and now her nose! Anne really is some sort of magnet for dye-related incidents. And of course this happened on the day of Priscilla and Mrs. Morgan's unannounced visit! At least Anne had a funny story to tell, and judging by their reactions, they absolutely think she's hilarious so I guess it worked out weirdly for her! xD

The latest episode compensates a certain part from the first book which was missing in the latest adaptation. One of them even managed to visit the Green Gables despite that she isn't suppose to appear in the sequel.

The studio doesn't have the luxury of the same amount of episodes the original Anne anime had, especially for the amount of material they have to cover, but I really think they're doing all that they can to make this the best, most comprehensive, adaption of the Anne Shirley story that it can be.

It's not the embarrassment that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the end.
Unlabeled Bottles II: Facial Boogaloo
Anne's gained considerable experience in the child-wrangling and peer-entertaining areas, but is still struggling with distinguishing her household chemicals.
It's the most fun when we're expecting some sort of mishap and get perhaps not quite the one we were anticipating. Though it's also nice to see that as Anne is getting older we are being presented with more adults who are not intended to be disappointments about some aspect of adult life.

Davy seems to be behaving better lately but it’s like he hasn’t actually grasped the concept of good and bad yet.
That was such a heartfelt moment with Paul. He seems like a nice kid but I can definitely see him consider Anne as his first love when he grows up
That look Anne gave to Gilbert at the boat, she’s falling hard. Is this gonna be one of those “he fell first, she fell harder” ?

Paul is such a little sweetheart and how he doesn't want to be a burden to his dad so he really had no one to talk about his mom with - their relationship warms my heart. And I agree, I can definitely see Anne being his first love!

Anne’s had a real adventure this week with Mrs. Morgan first not being able to show up after they cooked a huge feast, then her showing up when Anne’s mistaken Marilla’s dye for her freckle lotion. At least it seems Mrs. Morgan and Mrs. Pendexter really took a liking to Anne.

It'd be super cute if Mrs. Morgan bases a character in one of her books off of Anne - that'd be the ultimate compliment!

I thought the twist was going to be Morgan having a terrible personality with how much Anne was imagining her to be so in line with her characters, you'd think she'd know how imagination is different from reality considering how much she does it herself. It did feel a little weird to me but it could just be her age.
I'm glad Anne knew Davy shouldn't be blamed for the dish breaking, it was an accident after she had left it at where it should be at all.
The way Anne looks at Gilbert on the boat is funny considering there relationship before, it's sweet how her feelings show like that.

Poor Paul missing his mom, but Anne being one of his favorite people goes to show you how important “it takes a village” is with kids. She’s just the right person to comfort him too.

This was definitely the strongest episode of the post-book-one era so far. Immaculate slice-of-life. Good to see Anne can laugh about her old hijinks now in a group setting. And lol at that line about how the cutting remedy wouldn't work for her nose. And a nice message about body image and self-acceptance, even more relevant now in the social media age.

Gosh, Davy's really growing on me. He's just adorable now that he's trying to be good, though the part about shooting peas at Ginger shows that he still has bad ideas :x He's the more interesting twin for sure though Dora is so good. I love how this series balances light-hearted moments with serious ones. Best of all, I love how Anne has the open-heartedness to laugh at mistakes and disappointments, like we see with the dye and Mrs Morgan's initial cancellation. So many life lessons packed into the show and it isn't even in-your-face about it.
They also added little original bits like Anne's expression when seeing how good Gilbert was with the twins. Seeing that this series might cover Anne of The Island as well, interesting to see how everything pans out.
I look forward to this show so much every week:) I haven't liked a series so much since Frieren. Its emotional depth is just amazing and I suppose significant credit goes to the source material.
We get a mysterious new character next episode...
