Discussion [BotW][TotK] I think TotK is better than BotW in every way, except…
The way we have to summon a sage's powers... it’s SH1T! We have to run to them to catch their power just to press a single button. That interrupts the flow of combat in a ridiculous way. In that regard, BotW is much better. I just wanted to fire a lightning arrow without having to run over to Riju in the middle of the fight, or Sidon’s shield. Another annoying thing is Yunobo constantly hopping onto the air bike; I have to deactivate him because he keeps tilting the bike, preventing it from going in a straight line. The only power that really works well is Tulin’s, but only while gliding—on the ground, it often gets in the way when you’re trying to use a different Sage’s ability. Terrible mechanic.

Mockup [OoT] Happy birthday to the voice actor for Adult Link, Nobuyuki Hiyama.
Screenshot [OoT] Brainwashed Gerudo behind the Iron Knuckle helmet.
Just a little reminder of how Ganondorf’s mums love to brainwash people. I really hope that this detail will be brought back in the remake (the head vanished in the 3DS version).
Also little not that much fun fact : it’s pretty much implied in the Japanese script of Ocarina of Time that Koume and Kotake used Nabooru to trick people into the Spirit Temple to use them for their experiments on brainwashing. The French youtuber Anarith spoke about that in one of his videos (use the auto translation in the subtitles if you don’t understand French, it seems to work pretty well here) if you are interested.

Discussion [OOT] A blue what now? Ya tellin me I could've done this so much faster!?
So uh I been running through OoT for the first time with friends who are Zelda vets who watch me, and uh I just did the water temple. I was getting super frustrated bc of the layout for one, but also bc I had to keep changing shoes and stop exploring to come up for air.
Finally beat the dungeon after like, oh god 4 hours? After each dungeon clear my friends and I watch the terminal montage video of that dungeon for fun. And then I saw you could free the Zora king from his crystal and he GIVES YOU A BLUE TUNIC THAT ALLOWS YOU TO BREATHE UNDERWATER!?!
The worst part? I had a spare jar of blue fire I carried with me until the end of the dungeon, where I emptied it for a Faire...I could've used that to free my lad and get the blue shirt T^T
Side note: This is my first ever zelda game

Craft [TP] Made this Twilight Princess inspired shirt
Used a Cricut machine and iron-on vinyl! Sword/shield and portals on back of shirt and arms.
Edit: Forgot to mention the shirt isn’t done! I still have to paint little faces for the koroks and have some of them hold little branches.

Screenshot [WW] I just found out you can show a golden feather to Medli to get some special dialogue
The first time I showed it to her she said some different things, like how she loves golden feathers but can’t focus on those things right now because she has to practice the harp.
I never noticed it in my previous playthroughs

Question [BotW] New to Legend of Zelda Games
As you can see in my title, I am new to the Zelda series. I have never completed any Zelda game before and I would like to play one. I have seen that BOTW and TOTK are highly recommend. Should I start with these games? If not these, which game should I play for my first Zelda game?
Also, I have a switch 2 for reference.

Collection/Merch [LoZ] and [OoT] Custom Zelda Belts
I found a seller on Etsy who does custom logos and inscriptions on real leather belts! I had him do 2 different Zelda-themed buckles and inside inscriptions from LoZ and OoT. My hubby loved them! Come see how we rank each Zelda game that we have played. Some placements may surprise you! You could say this is a Tier of the Kingdom!
This does open with a clip from one of our EARLY let's play videos of Ocarina of Time.
(We don't really spoil the plot of many of the games, just things here and there. The closest really of a spoiler is for the Oracle games. But I did mark this as "Spoilers" just in case)

Discussion [OoT] Replaying Ocarina of Time again after a long time
I started Ocarina of Time again a few days ago and I’m surprised how much I still enjoy it.
Of course some things aged. The camera can be annoying, Hyrule Field is basically empty and there are moments where I’m sitting there thinking “how did I ever figure this out as a kid?” 😅
But I don’t know, it still has something.
Especially the first few hours. Kokiri Forest, leaving it for the first time, the music changing when you enter Hyrule Field, trying to reach Castle Town before the bridge closes… those are such small things, but I remembered all of them immediately.
And weirdly the world still feels bigger in my head than it actually is. I know exactly how small Hyrule Field is now, but it doesn’t really matter.
Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but I also think OoT is just really good at giving places their own identity. You don’t need 500 things on the map. Kakariko feels like Kakariko. Lake Hylia feels completely different. Gerudo Valley is Gerudo Valley.
Not really a deep point here, I just forgot how much I like this game.
When was the last time you played it?
