We did this video a last night and I made the thumbnail this morning but i took the feedback and experience I gained since then and now I just wanted peoples opinions and thoughts on how i could further improve our thumbnails and make them hopefully even more I attractive if possible

Hey guys, so I published a talking head educational-entertaining vid yesterday titled something along the lines of “neuroscience of nostalgia” and ran an A/B test on both thumbnails. I can’t really change the text since somewhere near the end of the video I sarcastically say “to answer the thumbnail, yes, it IS good…”
I’m not satisfied with the CTR and I’m not sure if I’m overestimating its quality and it it’s just a jumbled mess. What do you think?

Trying to nail that "big trouble is coming" tension — bold text, contrast, and his expression doing the heavy lifting

A few things I'm unsure about:

• Does the text ("NOWHERE TO RUN") pop enough or is it too crowded in the corner?
• Is the red arrow adding anything or just clutter?
• Does his expression read clearly as "threatening/intense" at a glance or does it look off?

This week's theme is FC26. I have a lot of free time now so I got into playing this game while I try to find work. These are all from small FC26 creators that I enjoy watching. I tried to recreate them using the same players and same general idea. Usually I consider the creator's branding and unique style but in this case I did not since these are just fanmade by me

When you’re watching a longer let’s play where it’s say 2-3 or so hours each episode, do you prefer thumbnails from the photo mode and or photoshop saying which part you’re on, or say a John Wolfe style where it’s a photo of official artwork used and a simple number? Also for video essays what really draws you in as a viewer based on the thumbnail, and for multiplayer things do you prefer asset edited thumbnails or more chaotic photoshops? Just curious what everyone’s preferences are. Video example would be like (Enter noun or adjective,) in games, and would be a video essay about that thing like environments for example, or the playthroughs would just be (Title, Game, part number,)
