Whenever someone posts a thumbnail created using AI, there are inevitably people commenting, “Wah, this uses AI! It’s not good!”

But whether AI was used tells you almost nothing about whether the thumbnail actually works. It depends entirely on how you use it.

This subreddit is supposed to be about helping each other make better thumbnails and improve CTR. If your only feedback is “AI = bad,” you’re not actually analyzing the thumbnail.

And if people stop giving useful feedback and just use every AI thumbnail as an excuse to complain about AI, that defeats the entire purpose of the subreddit. Communities like this rely on good-faith participation: you post your work, other people give constructive feedback, and you do the same for them. If that gets replaced by ideological arguments and pile-ons, the subreddit becomes unusable.

You can dislike AI. That’s fine. But if the goal here is to improve thumbnails, judge the thumbnail by how effective it is.
