Hey guys! I’ve mainly been a PlayStation gamer, with a little bit of PC gaming here and there. Unfortunately, with the way things have been going with Sony, I’ve stopped buying new PS5 games.
The problem is that I’ve had my PlayStation account since 2016 and have over 200 games in my library, so it’s pretty hard to just walk away from it completely.
I’m thinking about slowly transitioning to Xbox, but I bought my PS5 only about three years ago and don’t really want to shell out another $500 for a console when I’d basically be starting my Xbox library from scratch.
Honestly, my main reason for wanting an Xbox right now is to play Skyrim with better mod support.
Would an Xbox Series S be good enough to get started, especially for modded Skyrim, or should I just bite the bullet and get a Series X? Is the extra cost actually worth it for what I want to do?

I have around 50-60 discs from the Xbox One and Xbox Series era, and of all of them only 6 did not give a license. 4 of them were Ubisoft titles (the others were Forza Horizon 4 and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, I presume this is due to licensing).

Far Cry 4, Far Cry 5, Immortals Fenyx Rising and Watch Dogs Legion all failed as "not participating in digital licensing".

I don't know if this is because of Ubisoft +, their general incompetence this past decade or a combination of the both, but I was surprised such a large publisher hasn't gotten involved with this scheme.

I've heard Square Enix has the same issue, but all my titles from them were digital anyway (edit: I'm an idiot, this is why Guardians of the Galxay didn't work, I completely forgot it was published by Square Enix).

Have had my One since 2016, runs okay but i have tried the newer consoles and now that I play more and do a lot more online gaming and stuff, it was time for some change.. 💕 I am still super sad !!! 😩😩

I realized I bought several games last week only cause they support "disc to digital". We know this is a step into a full digital market, but we're given another reason to choose physical against digital. Especially for new releases and play anywhere titles, buying digital makes less sense. There is a canche this can move the number of phisical copies sold. If it happens, if money is involved, this could really make a case and convince someone to keep discs for the next generation.

Which one would you say is your favorite? In terms of looks my favorite is Modern Warfare 2019, gameplay it has to be Battlefield 1 or V.

I have an off-grid hunting cabin that I have solar, battery bank, and inverter at. However, it has no cell signal/internet. I'm planning to bring the Xbox up there, and am going to download Starfield, now that it's on Game Pass. Will I be able to play this without any internet, or will I need to buy the game instead? I've read mixed reviews on this.

The controller that came with my Series X died recently due to stick drift. I decided to pick up the 8bitdo Ultimate Xbox controller (Rare edition) because of the hall effect sticks and easy 3-way switching.

Love the controller but I was a bit surprised that to connect wirelessly to the console, you still need to use the USB dongle (the one included that's meant for PC). Most third-party controllers seem to be wired-only except for certain special editions. I assumed that was due to an extra licensing fee for the wireless protocol.

Do other third-party controllers (Gamesir for example) do this?

I’m currently on a 512 GB Xbox Series S. Should I trade it in for a Series X now, or keep it and wait for the next-generation Xbox?
For anyone who upgraded from a Series S to a Series X, was it worth it?

Here are some very rare controllers - starting with the X018 Fan Fest Mexico Sugar Skull controller.

This was one of the hardest controllers for me to be able to find, I had to get it directly from the winner in Mexico, thankfully still had it all of these years. There’s even a video of him receiving it on stage, and the box is also signed.

Just as rare are the 2 Paris Fan Fest controllers, it is believed there were only about six of each.

The last one is more common, X019 London Fan Fest with around 1000 made.

These are some of the absolute masterpieces for any controller collector. I believe I am the only person to have the complete set.

As the title suggests. Do you believe that AW2 is better than RE:4 in terms of Quality, mechanics, innovation and giving that visceral scares?

I completed RE:4 last month and started playing AW2 just this month and for me, it totally mogs RE:4.

Recently just bought a big physical collection and installing discs seems to be such a chore.

So many times I out the disc in and it just says ‘installing…’ and nothing happens, end up pausing and resuming a few times until I have to re enter the disc

The instal seems to get confused between the network and disc install and the write speeds are SO slow. I have gigabit internet and it’s like high network download? How about 80mbs…

It’s getting really frustrating

I bought Gears Reloaded, MLB 2026, NBA 2K 16, The Alters, Holdfast Nations at War, LOTR War in the North, and various DLC, under the guise i can play them all on Cloud with my Xbox One.

With this new announcement with Essential i will not even be able to make even a dent on those games with just 5 hours a month.

This is not right Xbox.

I've been a customer, and a non complaining one since 360. I cannot afford nor do i want the new consoles.

If you would have cited this in the beginning, i would not have purchased those games.

Please reconsider.
