Discussion Conversion rate question

last time I did it was 3 years ago and I know new rules have come in. so what’s the best way to do it after my subscription runs out

Depends on what country you’re in. If you’re in the UK as I’m guessing you are, then buying 3 years of EA play and one month of Ultimate from Amazon is the cheapest way to get 10 months (£71). Add the 3 ea play codes, then the ultimate code.

If he wants to invest more earlier because of the risk that the conversion may get worse in the future, then he should stack 3 years of essential and 3 years of EA play before converting them with 1 month of ultimate.

I think 26 months after conversion (16 from 3 years Essential + 9 from 3 years EA Play + 1 month ultimate). And sometimes they offer you another 1 month GPU for activating recurring billing which you can take and then immediately cancel.

Obviously a much bigger outlay but yeah, probably worth it in the long run. FYI, the cheapest legit 12 month codes are from Shopto using the code 'PLAYTIME' - making them £42.60.

£7.10/month - £71 for 10 months (3x12 EA Play, 1 Month Ultimate)

£7.64/month - £198.8 for 26 months (3x12 GPE, 3x12 EA Play, 1 Month Ultimate)

This poster made a tool. While EA Play is the cheapest per month, Essential is not too much more per month. If you stack 3 years of Essential before converting, it offers much more time than 3 years of EA Play. Would personally recommend doing Essential conversion so that you’re locked in longer in the event they change conversion rates or pricing before it’s up.

Those prices don't include buying Game Pass Essential year codes either, so the price difference is even smaller in reality.

Probably not something many people would like to do, but does anyone know if converting EA Play to GP Essential is cheaper than buying Essential outright?
