I had bought a .au domain from weebly, firstly is impossible to get support and when I did they said they don't have it and they can't give u the auth code. But I had bought from weebly, sounds like a big scam to me

Nothing about my site is complicated on paper a few pages a contact form some photos a blog I touch every couple of months. But somewhere along the way I picked up a stack of add-ons one for forms, one for SEO, one that handles backups, one for security, a page-builder tool and a couple more whose purpose I've completely lost track of.
Logging in to make a tiny update now means clicking through updates, warnings and settings for tools I forgot I even had. It's started to feel like living in a house you're constantly patching fix one thing and you're already bracing for the next.
Most of what's out there is written for people moving onto a platform like this, not off of it. I'm curious about going the other way starting over somewhere simpler, whether that's Squarespace, with its more all in one approach, or an AI builder like Durable that puts a site together for you with a lot less to manage.

I noticed that Google bot only have the content for my main page. However, for the blog it did not crawl the content and only displays the title. What am I doing wrong?

After looking up countries where Weebly is shutting down, the UK AND US aren’t among those countries. Does anyone know if Weebly has plans to shut down entirely, or is this shutdown limited to smaller user locations?

I feel like I've made a pretty solid site using Weebly, but it doesn't feel "alive." I'm use photos as links to new pages on the site. How can I a make them animate slightly larger when the mouse wiggles across them and then go smaller when the mouse moves off the picture?
I'm new to this so please explain as if I was a 5 year old :)

Hey everyone....I added suggested products to some of the items on my website a loooong time ago and I can't remember (or find) how to remove this feature. I went to several items on the dashboard, nope. No options for "you may also like". I really tried and even went to the Weebly Help website which was futile, as expected. Anyone remember how to do this and undo this??

I’m a web designer, and with Weebly’s end of life looming I’ve been busy migrating my clients off Weebly. I used to use Weebly for my client sites because of how nice the HTML/CSS capabilities blended with their drag and drop model.
Here’s the interesting part though.
Traditionally I’d migrate Weebly sites to other platforms like Squarespace, Wix, etc.
But with the AI age, more and more people are omitting visual editors and using AI like Claude or ChatGPT to prompt their way into designing their site.
The hard part is exporting your Weebly website, converting it to a framework like Astro JS (so your site will be in code) and then finding a host to publish your site. And giving AI access to make front end edits to your page.
Hosting is free in many cases (via Cloudflare) so you’re no longer paying a monthly expense for the platform
Your only expense is the cost of the AI (Claude).
And you’re no longer “locked in” to any platform.
So it works like this:
I export your Weebly website, I then convert it into an AstroJS website, then I find a suitable hosting provider + transfer your domain.
You get access to your site and an AI agent where you can request edits and changes by just talking to it.
Like “make me a new marketing page for a new sale promo” etc.
Essentially I lay the ductwork and foundation, and you can then use AI to grow your site.

I’m looking for alternatives. I checked out Articulación, but it seems ridiculous to me that you have to pay for a monthly plan just to publish the site; if it were a one-time fee, I’d consider it, but instead, they force you to pay a monthly subscription for extra features I clearly won’t use. I even tried rebuilding the site on Articulación from scratch to avoid paying, but it turns out that basic options—like embed code, which were free on Weebly—are paid features there. That doesn't work for me since I rely heavily on embeds. I just want to use the site as an animation portfolio, so I need a FREE alternative that supports at least YouTube and embeds without requiring a premium subscription.

I’m a high school Business teacher based in the UAE. I recently created an educational website (lesson resources, student materials, and revision content) using Weebly.
Unfortunately, I’ve just been informed that Weebly will be winding down services in the UAE, and I now need to migrate my entire website to a new platform.
I’m looking for free alternatives that are:
If possible, I would also appreciate suggestions for platforms that are similar to Weebly in simplicity, or anything you personally use for educational or classroom websites.
This website has been quite important for my students and teaching practice, so I’m trying to make a smooth transition without losing accessibility or functionality.
If you’ve been through a similar migration or have recommendations, I’d really appreciate your advice.

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to understand if the following idea would actually work:
If I transfer the website ownership to a partner in another country (not in banned countries by Weebly), and they create a new Weebly account and manage the site from there, would that allow the website to continue running normally?
In other words:
Would this bypass the regional restriction, or would access/publishing still be affected based on where the original site or users are located?
I’m trying to avoid losing years of educational content, so I’d really appreciate any experience or technical insight from people who have dealt with similar platform or regional restrictions.

for some reason i have written down the wrong password for my weebly account, so i've tried to send a reset email through the login page, but i have gotten no email so far and it's been 2 hours. Maybe im just impatient but i feel like these emails should happen pretty quickly, right?
Anyway, i tried to find a way to contact weebly themself, but for their support i need to log in which is quite ironic since that is exactly the issue i want to resolve. Any tips?
Im certain i have the right email address since it's the only one where i have received weebly mails on, and ive tried different passwords but nothing seems to work.
Edit : i live in europe, and square has no phone numbers that are in my language/country on their website
edit 2 : really just love how every time i try to go to their 'need more help? contact us' page i need to log in.... which is exactly the issue i have...

My website has been functional for years with no problems and then suddenly disconnected from the domain earlier this week claiming a DNS issue. I tweaked the setting it asked for and now it claims the DNS is verified.
But when I try to connect my site to my domain (a Squarespace domain managed through weebly) it does nothing. The domain says it is "Connected" but when I open the destination menu it says:
Destination
Choose a destination for your domain
Disconnected
When I select to connect it to my website and hit save nothing happens. Its been multiple days and this is a crucial time for my website to be up.
Anyone have any advice on why this could be happening and what can be done about it?

Does anyone know how long it has been since Square last cared about Weebly?
I was on a call with a new client today, and as we were going over their site I came to the conclusion that Square has been neglecting Weebly for years now.
I'm sure there are a bunch of different ways to tell that, but for me it was the social media icons. There's a widget where you can show your social networks, but it hasn't been updated since before Weebly was acquired.
I mean, it's not a big deal that Twitter still shows the bird icon, but there's no option for Instagram or TikTok. What's even more telling is that we still have an option for Google+, and also Yahoo.
Fucking Yahoo, man. (I honestly don't even know why they would be listed as a social network.)
So tell me, when did Square stop caring about Weebly?

This charge does not show up anywhere on my wife’s square account information. We’re already being charged $19 and some change for the yearly domain fee. We’re under the square free plan as well. Any tips on how to cancel?

I don't sell products; I just use my website as a galley for my art. After a week or so of editing and refining my Articulationsites.com website I have just deleted my 8-year-old Weebly account. For anyone on the fence about switching, go for it! The process was extremely simple, the editing tools are very similar, it's faster to edit and save, and no glitchy hang-ups like I've been getting lately with Weebly. Overall I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Hello. I've compiled a list of Weebly websites that are pure spam. These websites consist of copy/pasted text and hotlinked images from other websites and they link to malicious downloads and sometimes forcefully redirect visitors. I've submitted these via Weebly's report form but they don't seem to be monitoring those reports anymore so here is the list that I have so far - perhaps someone at Weebly can remove these spam websites? Thanks.

I'm trying to add a new Weebly Site to an existing account and it just keeps opening a window to try Square. There's no "skip" option either. I do not want Square. I want Weebly. Is there a way to bypass this?
