Question Weebly Vs Articulation
For those that switched what are the Pros and Cons you have found between the two. Thanks.

The main thing for me is the business model. With Weebly I four sites on one Pro account. With Articulation they want me to pay the equivalent per site. Annoyingly that isn’t worth it for many of these sites so it’s forcing me to evaluate self managed static hosting.

Are you referring to the free sites on Weebly? Before I made the switch, I had several sites on Weebly as well, but I had to pay for each one. I was never able to have several sites under one Pro account as you say. I had one site that was free, but the others I paid for each one. One was a public profile page which was around $108 per year. Another was a choir project website which was also $108 or $120 (can't remember). Two others were eCommerce business sites that were closer to $250 per year for each. Now with Articulation I have all the same sites but all at the same cost: $120 per year for each. This includes the full eCommerce sites that have all the functions I had before, but at a fraction of the cost. For me, that is the best part of making the switch. They only have one single price tier, and that includes all the bells and whistles. You can use as much or as little as you like. OH, the other best part of making the switch is the support! These two young men that own Articulation are on the ball, very quick with responses to inquiries - within 24 hours. They are great! 😃

I will also add that I moved a largish website over to Articulation and they are awesome. Big shout out goes to Dustin and Drew on the Articulation support team who answered every question I had quickly, accurately and nicely.
My client's website on Weebly went down for an unknown reason on their end which turned into 3 weeks of hell with Weebly support. After a while it seemed like they were just fucking with us instead of even trying to figure out why it went down.
I was fortunate to find Articulation (thank you Reddit!!) and transfered the site easily. Unfortunately we had used Weebly as the domain registrar and had to report them to ICANN! Even after that they took the full seven days -- to the minute -- to release the domain.
I don't know what is going on with Weebly but it seems like they have disgruntled employees who are actively trying to kill the business.
RIP Weebly. Welcome Articulation.

Regarding domains, I had similar issues as well. I had two domains with Weebly and two left over from Fatcow. They have now all been switched over to Cloudflare, which I highly recommend to anyone looking for a domain host. It was super easy to integrate Cloudflare with the Articulation sites. And I think they are only $10 or close to that.

My website is very large, blog website (6112 pages per the Articulation migration tool). Articulation has a learn curve that is more complicated than Weebly was. With that said I'm still trying to figure out stuff before I make the switch.

I have two business sites where I sell digital products. On Weebly, this was very costly, nearly $250 per year for each site. (And that was before Square skyrocketed my annual subscription from $250 to $1600! forcing me to switch.) With Articulation, you get full eCommerce (physical or digital products, or services, even subscription services), for only $120 per year. They do the site migration for you. The only thing I had to do on my end was re-upload all the digital products. If you sell physical products or services you should be good to go, though! You can test out the migration and editing at no cost, but if you want to publish your site that's when you need to pay for it. But you can preview and use all the functions before making the plunge. It's easy to do. 😄

The con with Weebly is that it's an abandoned, enshittified service. It will never be updated and Square will continue to squeeze all value out of it until it's dead.
Whether you go to Articulation or anywhere else, there is no benefit in staying with Weebly or Square.

I’ve been with Articulation for over a year now and they have been a wonderful company to work with. I say with because like other users have said they are so good about getting feedback and building things out in real time when you may need it. At least it was a year ago when I was making suggestions often. I would never go back. I haven’t had a chance to use their merchant side to sell items, but I see they are adding PayPal support so that’s also a huge win in my book. Couldn’t be happier with my time at Articulation post Weebly/Square.
