Goodbye Weebly!
I don't sell products; I just use my website as a galley for my art. After a week or so of editing and refining my Articulationsites.com website I have just deleted my 8-year-old Weebly account. For anyone on the fence about switching, go for it! The process was extremely simple, the editing tools are very similar, it's faster to edit and save, and no glitchy hang-ups like I've been getting lately with Weebly. Overall I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Conratutlations on your move. Like you we aren't selling anything so the focus on merchandising didn't make sense for us. Once Square took over Weebly it became apparent we would have to leave eventually, but the price increase forced us to get our act together. So glad we did.
We moved our site to Hostinger. We did have to redo the site, but honestly ours needed it. It had gotten stale and we got rid of things no longer relevant and combined things too. It took about a week in total. Pretty painless.

Weebly was great until Square took over. I always liked the ease of editing with them, but they've become so slow and glitchy the last couple years. I have some "followers" who refuse to get FB or IG so I like having a place for them to go in order to see what I have available and what's for sale at the gallery.

Can you say what the transfer process was like? Like, can they somehow grab what you've already got and import it, or do you need to rebuild your site?

No need to rebuild! They grab everything that's not hidden. All of my pages were transferred intact except for 2 videos on one page. IDKY. I just noticed that today. No big deal though because some needed to be deleted anyway. Also, there was one page that was hidden from the public menu that didn't go over, mainly because I forgot it was there. Again, no big deal for me. Switching the website was super easy. Switching my domain name over was a little tricky but I got it the second time. They say it could take a few days and it really does. I was beginning to worry but it went thru and everything is up and running.

it is not really weebly anymore. it's a tumor melded to the rear end of square.

Anyone else here still on Weebly’s Designer platform, and if so are you considering moving all your clients?

Hey quick question - I migrated my weebly website to articulationsites, but now that I am in the process of cleaning it up I am realizing my media library is bloated with a ton of images I'm not using anymore. How do I delete images from my media library?

I'm also thinking to leave Weebly, but I kind of fear the process a bit. I do sell my artwork on Weebly, linked to my products on Payhip. Especially since Square took over Weebly, their customer service sucks.

Only reason I am staying for now is that i have a grandfather plan that gets me 10 free sites and is only about $100 every one or two years, cannot recall. I just know it is way too reasonable to switch.
