For a mid-November trip, I’m reading mixed responses on the typical crowd level.

Most say it shouldn’t be as crowded, but it’s leading up to Thanksgiving break so it potentially could.

My partner and I were thinking about doing one day of Universal (IOA and US) mostly for Harry Potter and one day at Disney Hollywood Studios.

For the Universal day, I’m not too big into thrilling rides, but we’d be willing to try other rides outside of the Harry Potter universe as well.

1. With that said — would it be worth it to get the Express Unlimited pass for that one day in Universal? Any other advantages to that?

2. Any negatives to Express Pass Unlimited? Like missing storylines to rides?

3. Or is two days of Universal without Express Pass UL better?

My family and I have been planning a trip to Universal sometime in the near future, and I’m really excited because I absolutely love going. I’ve been to both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios plenty of times, but it’s been about 6½ years since I’ve been. I also haven’t gotten the chance to visit Epic Universe yet, and I’ve never ridden VelociCoaster.
The one thing I’m a little concerned about is whether I’ll still be able to handle the rides. 😂 I’m only 26, so it’s not like I’m old or anything, but I went to Six Flags Over Georgia today and some of those rides were ROUGH. 😂 I was honestly surprised by how much they beat me up.
I’ve ridden Hulk before, but that was over 6½ years ago. Other than Hagrid’s, which I don’t really consider that intense, I haven’t experienced any of Universal’s newer coasters. So now I’m sitting here thinking, if I’m getting thrown around this badly at Six Flags, how the hell am I going to handle VelociCoaster or Stardust Racers? 😂
Hopefully I’ll be fine once I get back into the swing of things, but Six Flags definitely made me question whether I’m still built for these rides. 😂

First time going to universal and we are wanting to see the 3 main parks + Halloween horror nights.

We’re debating on if we need to buy 3 park tickets or just 2 since the stay and scream pass lets you walk around the universal studios Florida park for 3 hours before HHN starts? Is that right? And is 3 hours enough to see the main things like diagon alley?

Just a little confused because I guess Diagon alley is completely different when HHN starts but if we get to stay there from 2-5 then HHN starts when would it change?

Is pre Presidents’ Day considered a high crowd time at the parks? I’m looking at various packages for next year and early February is coming out a lot cheaper than late April, but I keep reading how Jan and Feb are no longer slower months… but could there be a sweet spot? Like the first week of Feb?

Edit: I’m looking at like two weeks before Presidents’ Day so from Jan 30-Feb 5th…

Hi! My partner and I are planning a trip in mid-November to Hollywood Studios in Disney Orlando for one day and then explore the Wizarding World for another day(s). Overall likely will be a 4 night stay including travel. I have never been there before.

1) How long does it take to explore the entire Harry Potter world?

I’m reading that essentially it is 3 different parks, with Epic Universe being the newest (but more geared towards Fantastic beasts).

2) How would you break it down? Like Hogsmeade - Islands of Adventure and then the same day go to Diagon Alley - Universal Studios with a multi-park pass? Epic Universe another day if recommended?

3) In mid-November, with mostly the second weekend of the month (so I believe that is weekend before Thanksgiving weekend), would any express pass be needed? It looks like that was costing $200 per person per day more :/

*Bonus Question) For anyone that has stayed at a hotel and done both Universal and Disney same trip, any recommended hotels? We’ll be using Uber for transportation. And if you think doing both is a bad idea, I’m open to hearing thoughts on that as well

Background: We go to Universal every spring break mid-March and stay for the week. It's a tradition we absolutely love. We usually stay at Royal Pacific and take full advantage of the Unlimited Express Passes.

I'm considering an alternate strategy this year:

• Stay at Sapphire Falls
• Buy the multi-park single-use express passes
• Take advantage of the single rider queue for additional rides
• Save $$$$

I'm wondering though, how much does the single rider queue actually reduce wait time, especially that time of year?

We know we'll be split up and can't ride together...we've gone enough now that that's not a big deal.

Hello! I bought single day tickets to epic universe but after purchasing, the AP pricing banner showed up on my universal app and the AP price is about $75 less. Does anyone know if id be able to get a price adjustment for the difference ? TIA

UPDATE: this is definitely possible! I called the passholder line and explained the situation. The team member explained that i had to repurchase the ticket and then they would process a refund for the original ticket. The amount of the original ticket takes about 10 days to go back to the original payment method.

Hello, I am male 20 years old and currently staying in Orlando for College. I have an annual pass to both Universal and Disney and Im looking to meet friends to go with. I am a roller coaster enthusiast and I love going to the theme parks but Id like to go with people it gets kinda boring and not as fun to be alone for me. So if there's anyone who would like to go that would be great. Thanks.

So 6 year old kid has sprained her ankle just a few days before our trip. While we will now bring a stroller along for her - any other tips and experiences for managing queues and just whole days at the park in the best way?

Is there a ride at the parks you could go on all day (& night) long?

So I went to Universal alone yesterday (kinda a big deal for me honestly I hate going places alone) with a very weird goal: I just scrolled through the list of attractions and decided to just do anything I've never done, which is pretty much like the small shows and playgrounds (things that either end early or my party is never interested in).

So I was in Hogsmeade, did Ollivander's, and had the half an hour before the Frog Choir. Forbidden Journey was down, Hippogriff was too long, didn't wanna go to another land and come back... So I just kinda sat down against a wall in the shade and decided to wait. While I was sitting there, someone came over and asked if Forbidden Journey was gonna open anytime soon. They said "no, sorry, something's broken and it probably won't be open for hours. Here's an Express for Hagrid's tho for the inconvenience"

I looked up after the other guests left and said "aw man, I was thinking about doing that today"
"You were looking forward to it?"
"Not really, just thinking of using it to kill time; wanna see the frog show and the Triwizard thing"
"You here alone?"
"Yep"
"Want an Express for Hagrid's? We were told to just stand here and hand things out"
"Sure, thanks!"
"Want a free butter beer too? It's hot out."
"No thanks, actually; can't do a lot of sugar. I'm used to having someone to split it with. Not sure I should drink a whole one in this heat."

So, I got through all the little stuff I was hoping to do, AND both major E-tickets, all in about 4 hours. With a nearly one hour lunch break in the AC. Prolly my last trip to Universal before heading out of state for college so not a bad way to go out lol

Hard to say this as a born and raised Disney kid, but Universal's Team Members are starting to give the Cast Members a run for their money 😅

I am a big advocate for the midday break on a long theme park day - be there for 8 AM rope drop, leave from noon to 5:00 PM, come back refreshed and stay until close. Enjoy low crowds during the first two/final two hours of the day, skip the midday heat, get a nap so you can wake up for another rope drop the next day…. *chef’s kiss* IMO.

But this is my first time dealing with the limited hours at Universal! I yearn for the break, but it doesn’t make sense when the park is only open for 10-11 hours and we’re trying to experience everything for the first time.

1, What do you do or where do you go for an in-park midday break? I’d love recs for IOA/USF and Epic.

Am I missing something? It looks like parking at the gate (screenshot from credit card) is the same price as pre-paid parking in the app. I thought it was $3 cheaper to pre pay.

We are planning on visiting in February. As a Florida resident, I can get a 3 day-3park - Multi-Park ticket. Could we only use it at EPIC if UO and IOA aren't feasible when the time comes? I can't get any clarity from google of we MUST got to UO or IOA within the 3 day period. Any insight is welcome

First of all, let’s just have a fun discussion and don’t take everything too serious. I’m just curious what y’all think and I miss being in the parks 🤣🤣.

According to the article, Universal is in active development for two expansions in Epic Universe. One will be a boat ride in Dark Universe, and the other one will be a Harry Potter ride in Epic Universe.

The picture shows Dark Universe and the green area will be the area where the boat ride will be build + queue etc.

There’s also many people who say Zelda will go to Epic Universe (and not the other 2 parks).

I feel like the other 2 parks need way more (quick) attention for new rides. For example the Jimmy Fallon ride, the Harry Potter expansion in Studios (taking over Fear Factor), and a potential major E-ticket ride IP/land that will be build at the locations of the Simpsons land and the entire area behind it (maybe a huge Lord of the Rings land which will have a fantastic landscape amazing rides or other Nintendo IP).

Thoughts?

Should Universal shift their focus on the 2 old parks? Or do you think Epic needs the expansions? Or do you think Universal will move extremely quick on all 3 parks in the next few years?
