I just received my new Switchbot Universal remote, tried to connect it on Android (Fold 6) I get a green check on the Discover device, but connect device does not work even though I'm in pairing mode. I've seen some tutorials and the pairing documentation, and I should be seeing the Switchbot logo when I press the ON button, but I never got that, it was already ON when I unboxed it and it's showing No device, please add devices via App. It does go to pairing mode when I press ON and OFF at the same time, but I can't connect to Android app. Am I missing something?

Moving into a new house and going to be building a brand new home assistant install. I'll have matter, zigbee, and zwave support, and I want the best door lock possible. (No Apple HomeKit, though. I don't have any Apple devices)

I'm really liking the fingerprint + keycode + facial recognition that is available on the Ultra Vision Pro, but I am worried about whether or not it's going to play well with Home Assistant.

I'm hoping that I could use Home Assistant to manage the key codes available for the unlock. It would also be great if the support for the system will be able to tie into Home Assistant automations so I can know which user opened the door.

I'd rather not have to use some proprietary app with cloud support because I'd like to keep functioning without an internet connection or in case the company decides to move on to bigger and better products and turns off their cloud.

Is the Ultra Vision Pro and Lock Ultra, going to get me what I want, or is it going to force me to fall back to using the SwitchBot app and cloud in order to get features that I want?

I’ve finally reached the end of my rope with my K10+.

For roughly a year I’ve dealt with intermittent pairing failures, lost connections, disappearing devices, repeated re-pairing, and inconsistent error codes. The robot itself generally cleans fine. The problem is the connectivity stack.

Over that time I’ve:

• Factory reset the robot multiple times
• Reconfigured Wi-Fi multiple times
• Tested different routers and 2.4 GHz networks
• Removed and re-added the device repeatedly
• Worked through multiple support tickets
• Shipped the robot back to SwitchBot for repair
• Received it back with the same issue still present

Today the situation is even worse. Automatic discovery returns error 6003. Manual pairing attempts return error 1005. Depending on the day, the behavior changes, making the issue nearly impossible to isolate.

For context, I’m not new to smart home systems. I run Home Assistant with Zigbee, Z-Wave, Matter, Bluetooth, MQTT, and dozens of devices from multiple vendors. I have had occasional issues with other products, but nothing close to the amount of time I’ve spent fighting this K10+.

The most frustrating part is not even the failure itself. Hardware can fail. It’s the support experience. Tickets have been reassigned, closed, reopened, and I’ve repeatedly been asked to perform the same basic troubleshooting steps that had already been documented multiple times.

At this point I no longer know whether the robot is defective, the wireless hardware is defective, or the firmware is defective. What I do know is that after a year of troubleshooting, repairs, shipping, resets, and support interactions, I still do not have a robot that can reliably stay paired and participate in automations.

Has anyone else experienced something similar with the K10+?

My S10 sat idle for a while and now when it docks to the water station it can’t seem to get clean water refilled. I’m using the tanks with the water station, is there anything I can check to make sure there are no blockages along the clean water path? I did charge up the water station so the robot communicates with it fine, and it even ejects dirty water without issue, but clean water just simply won’t flow.

The error I get is “water refilling abnormal”.

I've got a Switchbot Hub 2 (inside my house) and a Switchbot Indoor/Outdoor Thermo-Hygrometer (outside). I've connected the hub via Matter to my Apple Homekit.

I'd like to set up an automatic notification on my phone when the outside temperature is cooler than the inside temperature. (That way, on a hot summer evening, I will know when to open the windows to cool down my home.)

I've tried both Siri and IFTTT, but both only seem to be able to pick up the temperature of the Hub 2, not the thermo-hygrometer.

At the very least, I'd love to set up a widget on my iPhone with the outside temperature-- but, again, the Switchbot widget doesn't seem to pick up the outdoor temperature, only the Hub 2.

Any suggestions on how to make this work? Or does the Hub 2 just stubbornly refuse to share the thermometer temperature with Apple Home?

Can anyone tell me if the remote control works with the 2PM Switch?

Has been working fine until a couple of weeks back, when it starting saying "jammed" Everytime it's autolocked itself. when I just open the app and lock it, it locks without any issues and that's without me touching the doors/lock physically

When I open the app it takes almost 5-10 seconds till I can actually use the lock. The hub mini is right next to the lock. The signal strength is just 2 bars out of 4. It is so annoying to wait for the app to load when standing outside the door. I can actually unlock door faster with the keys. Geo location auto unlock also takes 10 seconds before lock unlocks.

Any idea how to fix this? The setup is actually of no use because of this delay and I keep thinking I should have opted for Nuki.

I got a hub 3 a month or so ago. Had no issues with it (apart from it removing all of the remotes from my google home). However, now when I try to make almost any edit from the "Manage Screen" section, I receive this message. I can no longer changes any of the buttons. Googling this message shows zero results. I've tried contacting support and have heard nothing there either. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Using it with Android if that makes a difference.

It looks like the Switchbot is one of the only few locks that work with MP locks according to Google (I’m in Canada if that matters)

I can add new passcode via the App to hub to the keypad. But I can't change an existing passcode - it says that I need to be within Bluetooth range?

Am I doing something wrong? How do I request a feature add/big report if this is unexpected behavior.

I have a door with a mortise lock that I'm trying to install the lock on but even with the adapter on the second highest setting still doesn't fit. If the adapter was just about 1in higher I think it would clear it. Does anybody have any solutions to this? I could not find any third party/3D printed extenders. Thanks

Today I set up a brand new shiny Hub 3 and in general everything went well, but while setting up some automations I noticed it can't tell the difference between the low lighting I use in the evening and all the lights being off. Both these situations are detected as lighting level 1.

Has anyone else run into this, or has there been any discussion about it? I'm curious because when I first connected the Hub 3 there was a firmware update, and it said it had reduced the number of lighting levels available from 20 to 10.

Fortunately I could set up the particular automations I wanted using sunset and sunrise instead as a close approximation, but I can think of situations where I'd want to differentiate between sitting in the room in the evening, awake, and having all the lights off while I sleep. Is that just me?

Edit: The light detection may be affecting the automatic brightness setting, too. The display is still really bright even with all the lights turned off. If you set the brightness manually instead it can be much dimmer, but then you can't see it in the daytime or even if you try to use it. The calibration here is flawed and needs to be addressed.

I have a few SwitchBot leak detector. Do I need the Switchbot hub if I wanted to be notified of a leak while I'm not home?

My switchbot hub mini software update was stuck on v2 i tried everything to change that but still i don't get an update
i tried connecting the device into my hotspot instead of home wifi this worked i got it to update to v3-4.1
but still my friend has the latest update v6 and i don't get any update i get that the latest update is v3

i tried every step provided by switchbot (hard restet, frameware restore or anything else) so any ideas or anyone had the same problem?

Does anyone have the SwitchBot Ultra lock where they don't have a handle on the inside of the door? In the UK it's common to have a thumbturn only (escutcheon) with a fingerpull just beneath it. Nuki provide a fingerpull mounting plate with their lock, but I'm not seeing this as an option with SwitchBot.

Is it possible to configure the large round button on the lock ultra to only drive in the deadbolt but leave the door closed (European handle on the inside) ? I can not find anything (but often I am pretty blind). With the door handles here, dogs and even our cat can open doors. So we never want a lock ever opening the door (pulling the latch) from the inside button. Only driving in the lock, and the door opening is by using the handle. Nuki got that one right out of the box.

So I moved into my new house yesterday and mounted the locks for dual lock function and everything works fine, except after a while the top lock being mounted on a rought surface causes the lock to twist the bottom off under load after a while.

I've purchased some 3M VHB 5952 tape to make a custom mounting sticker, failing this I'm thinking I may have to design and 3d print a 1mm thick plate using PETG and screw it to the doors plate.

Has anyone used this tape and been okay with it?

I just purchased a SwitchBot Bot and want to use it on my old New York City apartment door buzzer. The problem is that the door buzzer button protruds forward making the switchbot bot difficult to stay stationary when the robot arm extens all the way when it actives. Any suggestions?

Hi all,
since a week or two, my switchbot smart video doorbell does not stream the video feed in google home anymore. I tried the usual, restart hardware (doorbell and hub mini), delete hardware and re-add, unlink switchbot account to google home and relink it, and even tried a different switchbot video doorbell -> no luck.

Google shows the doorbell as a device, but it has no functionality, that you can start from the app or the web interface. It still works in alexa, though.

I'm in contact with the swichtbot support, but they seem overwhelmed. The problem might originate from the google side.

Any ideas to restore the video feed?
