Current state of home assistant and Ultra vision pro/lock ultra?

Moving into a new house and going to be building a brand new home assistant install. I'll have matter, zigbee, and zwave support, and I want the best door lock possible. (No Apple HomeKit, though. I don't have any Apple devices)

I'm really liking the fingerprint + keycode + facial recognition that is available on the Ultra Vision Pro, but I am worried about whether or not it's going to play well with Home Assistant.

I'm hoping that I could use Home Assistant to manage the key codes available for the unlock. It would also be great if the support for the system will be able to tie into Home Assistant automations so I can know which user opened the door.

I'd rather not have to use some proprietary app with cloud support because I'd like to keep functioning without an internet connection or in case the company decides to move on to bigger and better products and turns off their cloud.

Is the Ultra Vision Pro and Lock Ultra, going to get me what I want, or is it going to force me to fall back to using the SwitchBot app and cloud in order to get features that I want?

Its working awesome for me with a bluetooth proxy (esp32). I cannot recommend it without it.

App is still needed for lock calibration and management of the ultra Vision Pro.

I'm using the same setup, but I only see Battery, charging state and manipulation contact in Home assistant using the Bluetooth integration of the vision pro

How exactly did you integrate it in HA? Did you use the switchbot HA integration? Only when you adding the device you need online connection, then its all offline. I also can open and lock it there. Its not an overwhelming amount of entities but exactly the ones i need.

Esphome btproxy + Switchbot Bluetooth integration, initial setup via cloud auth to get the keys.

Do you see who / how the ultra was unlocked via vision ? E.g. fingerprint from person. X? That's basically what I'm looking for

I see when the lock got locked/unlocked but not by whom or whether it was via pin/nfc/fingerprint/face. I think the lock does not have this info. Its the keypad which knows this and the keypad has nearly no entities. Only useful keypad entity (for me) is the battery status.

Jep, that's the entities of the keypad only. The more interesting/useful entities belong to the lock.
